I came across this:
"This second temple lasted until AD 70, when it was razed to the ground by Roman soldiers under Titus. Today, many orthodox Jews long to re-establish the temple and its ancient systems, including the sacrifices. Some even hope that the story of Cyrus will be repeated by a modern ruler.

These Jews took great encouragement when Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election in the United States because they remembered his promise to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. They also note that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has expressed a desire for the temple to be restored. “We are poised to rebuild the Temple,” said Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for a group called the Nascent Sanhedrin"..The third temple prophecy

Hmm let's think just what would be involved.
The clearing of the temple site of the various Christian groups, churches, adjacent building and of course the Muslim temple.

So before any building work is done a large part of the Christian world as well as the Muslim world would be even more cross with the Jews.
They would even anger devout Jews as acces to the wailing wall would be denied access to it.

Just who would bid for such a job, knowing all other contracts in Muslim countries or Islam controlled companies would be closed to them, that financ would be hindered as would purchasing supplies or recruiting.

Then there are the conditions likely to be imposed on the construction companies and there work force.
David forbad the sound of hammering on the construction site, would generators and electric tools be equally banned?
What about the need for ritual purity among the labour force?

Thank you for sharing the link. Good article, crazy about not able to touch the dead nor go in a cemetery or even go to a hospital for their own birth. Thankfully the article finished with “Do these prophecies promise that we will see the restoration of the temple? Will the smoke of ritual sacrifices rise once again in Jerusalem after almost 2000 years?

The simple answer is “yes.” But here’s a surprising twist: this new temple has already been built! Do I detect some scepticism? Are you thinking that someone would surely have noticed if a temple had gone up in Jerusalem’s biggest tourist spot? Well, let me explain with a text from Ephesians 2: “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit” (verses 19–22).

After the Jews rejected Jesus, He built a new kind of “temple,” and He made it, not with stones, bricks and mortar, but with people—a “living” temple. He promised to live in these people in the same way that His glory filled the temple in ancient times.

"Will the smoke of ritual sacrifices rise once again in Jerusalem?"

Yes, it sounds a little strange, but it was a concept fully grasped by the first-century believers. Remember the prophecy about rebuilding the temple that we mentioned from the book of Amos a few minutes ago? That same prophecy is quoted by the apostle Peter in the New Testament in referring to members of the church (1 Peter 2:4, 5). As he understood it, Jesus has taken His temple to a whole new level. It’s no longer confined to one spot in a geopolitical world. It’s now embodied in every living, breathing Christian.

So will there likely be a Jewish temple constructed anyway? Maybe. Maybe not. But if it is built, it will have no more prophetic meaning than yet another new Starbucks going up in Auckland. It will be just another building.

If you want to see God’s newest dwelling place, you won’t have to go far. Look for a person full of the love of Jesus. That’s God’s new temple. And, like Solomon’s temple, that kind of person is a wonder to behold.”

The Dome on the Rock is an Islamic shrine today. Since the Temple of God was for those who lived under the law there is no need for a temple made with hands replace todays temples.

What! Know ye not that we are the temple of God?

Really? Except that the Jerusalem Post never reported that! That is indeed a *surprising twist*.

To answer the title of the OP, the answer is "ABSOLUTELY". We should not concern ourselves with any seeming obstacles, since prophecy must be fulfilled.

Please go to The Temple Institute: ~The Holy Temple in Jerusalem: Yesterday Tomorrow Today for more information.

T.gif
he Temple Institute (in Hebrew, Machon HaMikdash), founded in 1987, is a non-profit educational and religious organization located in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem's Old City. The Institute is dedicated to every aspect of the Biblical commandment to build the Holy Temple of G-d on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem.

Our short-term goal is to rekindle the flame of the Holy Temple in the hearts of mankind through education. Our long-term goal is to do all in our limited power to bring about the building of the Holy Temple in our time. Thus, the Institute's efforts include raising public awareness about the Holy Temple, and the central role that it occupies in the spiritual life of mankind.

The many areas of activities conducted by the Institute combine research, seminars, publications, and conferences, as well as the production of educational materials.

The major focus of the Institute is its efforts towards the beginning of the actual rebuilding of the Holy Temple. Towards this end, the Institute has begun to restore and construct the sacred vessels for the service of the Holy Temple.

These vessels, which G-d commanded Israel to create, can be seen today at our exhibition in Jerusalem's Old City Jewish Quarter. They are made according to the exact specifications of the Bible, and have been constructed from the original source materials, such as gold, copper, silver and wood. These are authentic, accurate vessels, not merely replicas or models. All of these items are fit and ready for use in the service of the Holy Temple.

Among the many items featured in the exhibition are musical instruments played by the Levitical choir, the golden crown of the High Priest, and gold and silver vessels used in the incense and sacrificial services. After many years of effort and toil, the Institute has completed the three most important and central vessels of the Divine service: the seven-branched candelabra, or Menorah, made of pure gold; the golden Incense Altar, and the golden Table of the Showbread. To view a video showing the menora being moved to its current location, please click here. To see photographs of the kiyor - the copper laver currently under construction, please click here.

Orthodox Jews expect the coming of Messiah BEFORE the temple is built. This may well coincide with the coming of the Antichrist, since this temple will really be hijacked by him.

You are presenting a Christian viewpoint, not that of Orthodox Jews. And not that of Bible prophecy either.

The Sanhedrin approached Trump and Putin a couple years ago, presenting them with the idea that the two could rebuild the Temple as a joint venture. I don't think Trump would partner up with Putin on something like that. Anyway, no takers so far, that we know of.

Hello Victory,

Thank you for this. Spot on! And beautifully put!

But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

Peace be with you!

Don't look now, but they already did that 20 years ago. The largest synagogue in the world is probably the Belz Great Synagogue, in Jerusalem, Israel, whose main sanctuary seats up to 10,000. (and the world is still here)

Synagogues do not replace the temple. Apples and oranges.

Okay, so you obviously have little Biblical knowledge, GOD is the One who declares the need for a new Temple, and to that end has provided the most detailed measurements of HIS new Temple. Try reading Ezekiel 40 to the end of the book where God provides such minute detail of the Temple, the sacrificial system, and how it is to be purified.

The fact that Satan and his servants have polluted the Temple mount, is a transparent effort of the part to Satan to block God's plan. Those mosques will not be there for very long. In God's own timing, the mosques will probably be destroyed by the stray missiles Isalm is firing at Jerusalem. A just resolution!

The Temple was not for those who lived under the law, but for those who embraced by the Old Covenant, which is an eternal Covenant with ALL Israel.

It is not bible prophecy that Christian's are the temple of God, it is a fact.
I was not speaking about Christians. It is also a BIBLE FACT that there will be a real, literal, visible, physical temple in Jerusalem when the Antichrist makes his appearance.

Otherwise the prophecies regarding the Antichrist will not be fulfilled. He will literally sit in that temple claiming that he is God. And he will deceive thousands (possibly millions).

Many Christians are constantly confused about the Church ( as the temple of God) and an actual temple in Jerusalem erected by Orthodox Jews in anticipation of their *true Messiah*. Actually they believe that he will be the one to have the temple rebuilt.

I like your quotes Stan B but you need to show scriptures with them. For all I know the Age Of Law is no more.

You still don't get it. Wilfully. There will be many antichrists BEFORE the final and ultimate Antichrist, who will sit in the future temple at Jerusalem claiming that he is God.
