Genesis 7:11-12 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
7:17-19,24 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. (24) And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
Genesis 8:1-3 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged; The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
The question is...will we realize the fountains of the deep have been opened...do we now? Will we know we are in the forty days and nights...for we could well be? Will we recognize the five months of tribulation that may have begun May 21 IS the great tribulation that preceeds His 2nd Advent when He cometh as a thief in the night, in the time of great darkness?
We are so programed to expect terrible turmoil but it will be, I believe, a time of great deception. My feeling is we have entered and near the end of the forty days...our time of probation, our time to repent, fast and pray. If I am understanding this correctly then what will occur when the forty days end on June 30? (Other than it being Glenn Beck's last day of Fox :) )
Numbers 14:11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke Me? and how long will it be ere they believe Me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

I just noticed an important clue given in the story of Noah. As you read this consider that Biblical waters are symbolic of two things....words and people. They can be either/or. And notice that it isn't the "day of" but "days of" that we are to see.

The seventeenth of the second month is the Hebrew Iyar 17...our May 21, if in this year, 2011. If it is this year, and I think it is...then the forty days and nights began at that time and are soon to end. At least...the days will end but not the night! Notice how it is always written "forty days and forty nights" except at the end of that time. Then it is.....

What happened to the forty nights in the above verse? I believe what is being shown is that the day will figuratively end at that time...and Satan's time, darkness, night, his "hour of temptation," begins [Rev.3:10]. Both day and night are on the earth for the forty days (a time of probation) [5/21/11 - 6/30/11] and that is how long we're told of the "forty days upon the earth." The day ends...night and the prince of darkness rules.
Those of the day are on the ark...shut in by the Lord.
After the forty days and nights the rain continues, the waters continue, the fountains of the great deep continue to flood the earth with ungodly people and great deception but....for the duration of the five months/150 days it is spiritual darkness.
Those not safely on the ark (in Jesus) will be tormented. Not killed but tormented.
1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Those of the day are on the ark...shut in by the Lord.
