In the wilderness they tempted the Lord by asking for meat. Psalm 78:17-19
[17] And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. [18] And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. [19] Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

And God gave them their own desires. Yet, while the meat was in their mouths, the wrath of God came upon them and slew the fattest of them...for this work God did before them, they sinned still. Psalm 78:27-33

Psalm 81:10-12
[10] I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. [11] But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. [12] So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

“So I gave them up to their own hearts’ lust.” Psalm 74:12 tells us “For God is my King of Old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.” The Word goes on to tell us a part of this working salvation in the earth is God’s breaking the heads of the dragons in the waters, and breaking the heads of the leviathan in pieces. heads of dragons...with an (s).

(Psalm 74:14) tells us God gives this meat of the heads of dragons and heads of the Leviathan to the people inhabiting the wilderness. As God said He would (Ezekiel 39:17-20) is a call from God to feathered fowl and the beast of the field to assemble yourselves; come, gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice.

the wording of ‘assemble yourselves’ and ‘gather yourselves’ speaks as though God is speaking to people, not animals. Those in the wilderness: the murmurer and complainers and those temping God for meat..He gives them meat to eat. “EAT the flesh and drink of the blood of princes of the earth ...them fatlings of Bashan,” God calls, “eat til you are full...drink till you be drunken. be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, with men of war...”

‘Till you be drunkened’

A whorish woman...

1 John 2:15-17
[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. [17] And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Lust of the flesh...
Lust of the eyes...
The pride of life...
...All is the way that leads to death.

James 1:14-15
[14] But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. [15] Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Conceived...in (Isaiah 33:11-12) God tells the earth mourns, Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down, Sharon is like a wilderness: Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits. “You conceive chaff, you shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall ‘devour’ you. And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.”

Sin...when it is finished, Brings forth death.
Yet, Christ, in a MIGHTY WORK: when Jesus Christ said “it is finished” ...brought forth life: in that He overcome the world: in that He had overcome the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life ...and brought forth life.

John 16:33
[33] These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

1 John 5:1-5
[1] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. [4] For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

“...and this is the victory that overcometh the world...” and overcomes the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life which when it is conceived and finished brings forth death.

We are no longer of death, but are of Life.1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
