In this video, a street preacher declares what is written: whoever continues in sin will die.
Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.
You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.
We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!
I thank God for using this man, seen in the video, to speak truth to the world. It was a great day indeed for the Kingdom. No person should be ashamed of hearing this man’s message unless they are of the world (the religious, worldly, civil-minded, peaceful citizens etc.) and not of Christ; they are the fearful and found yet another excuse to run and hide from God as they have done all their lives. In this video, a street preacher declares what is written: whoever continues in sin will die.

Great video, at a time of the Ash Wednesday/Mardi Gras festivities! Most of the bystanders either mocked him or ran past him quickly.
Bless you,

And where is this "church" of which you speak? Must it be located in a physical building? The man may be pressing beyond where most believers would press and in a place and way where most believers would not, but...This needs to be taught gently in churches not preached on the street. Unless a person is given an alternative to sin...the power of grace...it will sound like condemnation.

Consider that most so-called believers would not dare to make the effort even if God had assured them that there would be some good results...! Then again probably many of the same who would not dare would also be among the first to pin a label of cultist on JWs and Mormons or others [some certainly very sincere] who knocked on the doors of strangers to share what they believed was "good news". Who do you believe would be most pleasing to God?
I could be wrong but I am not sure that is the message they need to hear.In this video, a street preacher declares what is written: whoever continues in sin will die.
I think "The Church" would be found with him sitting down with a hurting person and talking and listening to them..... NOT in buying an electronic bullhorn so he can blast people 100' away about how disgustingly sorry they are.And where is this "church" of which you speak? Must it be located in a physical building? You may offer a good place for groundwork, but in my experience many places scarcely move beyond the milk. Some fall short on that. The purpose of ministers is to help people move to the meat where those particular five types are not longer necessary. We are to run interference, as it were, for others. We are made poor so that others may be made rich. That means we take on....in the brethren...the difficulties and the challenges of society by warfare in the Spirit.
This is not about buildings and religion. It is about fraternity in agape and experience with the spiritual struggle to influence the world towards Christ.
Now the direct approach may work at a given point.....but there is groundwork to establish first.
It is too easy to just pass on the difficulties to others by making the problems the fault of others....rather than taking on the responsibility ourselves for the condition of the world. Moses stood in the gap with God for his people. We can do no less.
A man must do what he believes God called him to do in the way that he can...or is directed by God. That we do not all agree is certain when we look at the numerous "Christian" assemblies in every town around us. How does a person properly witness? I can agree there should be a better way, but like Jeremiah and Ezekiel sometimes we are sent only to announce Truth without even a single person who is going to respond to us as we might like... It must always be done God's Way which is not the same for each part of the Body... We must only agree with God.I think "The Church" would be found with him sitting down with a hurting person and talking and listening to them..... So then when a person needs and desires God, God will use what is available to give the person what he really needs. Sometimes a man preaching or reaching on the street is all that is available. Sometimes there is less than that... God is always able. This is why I am slow to criticize to harshly or even at all anyone who is making an effort even though I may see the weakness of that effort.
Will not God supply the difference no matter how great it is?
hmm, second time I've said this this am, but we do have two illustrations of "you taught in our streets" that should be considered imo? Personally I would beat the guy with a stick or something handy myself, hopefully he got arrested tooShame on you. Where does this criticism come from? Certainly not from above. You no doubt would have condemned the prophets too.
Who seems to go to great lengths to get our focus off of sin rather than on it, imoA man must do what he believes God called him to do in the way that he can...or is directed by God. Perhaps he missed it when he opened his mouth, but that was really not my point. I've seen some really 'good' men of God miss the Spirit and say the wrong thing. Those men I knew something about. This man I know only from the video. So then until I know better his heart, I still have to say take it slow on the criticism. There is a time to be silent or to speak and God knows when. Hopefully, we are paying attention to Him so as to know how to react before we do. In interim is it wrong to pray?hmm, second time I've said this this am, but we do have two illustrations of "you taught in our streets" that should be considered imo? Very probably you and others here are right on that, but that does not give any of us the right to lay our hands on him, does it? Of course we see a lot of people on this forum laying rough and abusive hands on each other, don't we? I've done it myself, but I hope I have repented when I did.I could be wrong but I am not sure that is the message they need to hear.
You are arguing against the 'fire and brimstone' message that in years past has been a very popular one with many preachers. I also believe it is usually if not always the wrong way, but in this case I was trying to see the man rather than the message he was speaking. Apostle Paul was pressing an erroneous message prior to his encounter on the road to Damascus, but was his intention completely evil? He simply did not understand what he knew [the scriptures] until he met Jesus and realized he understood nothing at all. Do we condemn a natural toddler because his spoken language is minimal and flawed? How mature in the Lord was the man in the video? Our ministry is one of reconciliation to God. The fact that a relationship with God is without sin...could be seen as a by-product of that relationship. So our focus should be on that reconciliation. Too much emphasis on the by-product of a life without God...sin...can easily get in the way of the message that God desires fellowship with us puny humans.
Are we created only to stop sinning...or are we created for fellowship with God?
People no longer react to scare tactics. It portrays God as a terrorist of sorts. Love is better. Let the difficulties fall on we who are called to spread the gospel. Let the sinlessness be in us....and on us. Let us be the light in the world. Let us show the world the grace of God.
