“VATICAN: #PopeFrancis’ meditations for the Stations of the Cross have been released. In a peculiar move, he skips the normal 9th station & invents a new 11th station of ‘Jesus‘ cry of abandonment.’

The 9th station is traditionally ‘Jesus falls the 3rd time.’”

The tweet includes a link to the press release in multiple languages, including English.

It may be peculiar but is it a serious issue in the minds of Catholics? If it is, how serious is it?

Interesting and a profound development for a RC I would think, and their church.

Where is this pope going with this newly misplaced 'station. ' Logically, it should come as a new last station, for the point of his death and his distinct reaction to his Father's temporary abandonment of him during the process of his actual death on the Cross.
