Why does God allow suffering? Because if you have faith: there is no suffering, that He can't suffer *with* you (pained?)

Hi there,

So it really is a simple truth: when we have faith, God suffers with us (selah).

In other words, when we have little faith, God divides our suffering with Him.

There is no point, in which God does not suffer while we do, except when the suffering is of the Devil - in that case God starts to suffer, before we do!

This is a powerful truth, because it changes the narrative, that our suffering is "ours and ours alone". Yes, you can refuse to let God suffer with you, but who is going to do that? The point is, God encourages us to share our suffering with Him: He is able to bear our burdens. When we question Him, at some point our suffering is going to become the Devil's work. We want to avoid our suffering being the Devil's work, because if it's the Devil's we can only suffer more!

In this way, we develop character; God's Spirit becomes intertwined with His, becomes resilient with His Strength. In time, we come to know when God is suffering and why - and we can avoid it altogether! This is the power of sharing your burden, as in the case of God: sharing our burden perfectly. If the suffering against us, is perfectly divided, how can we suffer in it any more? So the just shall live by faith (as the Bible says, in the letters, from memory). And if we can share that God is sharing our suffering with us: how bold can we become? So it is that even the least of our deeds will be rewarded.

Think about it: if you knew that football was a rough sport, but that you could teach your children to play it properly, would you not play it yourself, that when it came time for your children to play it, you could explain to them how to avoid injury? Do you do away with the sport, simply because when it is played improperly, it may cause injury? No! You want your children to be free to take risks and challenge themselves to pass on what they know to their children. There is nothing wrong with the sport, because at some point some one may suffer. So it is with God, He lets the Devil develop venom, that provokes the fear of God, knowing that in time His Children will wrestle with the fear of God and avoid the Devil's venom themselves. That isn't bad parenting, that is a foundation that will weather every generation's storms.

I hope this has been of some encouragement to you, that you understand that God is not avoiding suffering, because He wants to keep you from experiencing life.

God bless.
