"Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit." - Ephesians 2:19-22
A CITY FOR A DWELLING PLACE
So often in Christianity, we are looking to get to the next new place that God is moving us in our Christ calling, and although this type of pursuit is great and strongly encouraged, there is something higher and it is reserved for the hungry! The hungry bring the next move of God to them!
"He turns a wilderness into pools of water, and dry land into water springs. There He makes the hungry dwell, that they may establish a city for a dwelling place, and sow fields and plant vineyards, that they may yield a fruitful harvest." - Psalm 107:35-37
If you find yourself in a dry land or a wilderness season, ask the Lord for the grace of hunger and watch how He begins to visit you through His Word. Before you know it, you will begin to see new Believers appear before you that need to be discipled into their Christ identity -- your land (the people you disciple), and your season transformed as you move from glory to glory in your Christ calling. (see 2 Corinthians 3:16-18).
NEW EYES
For those who desire it, the Lord is allowing us to look into the depth of His Word with "new eyes" whereby we will see by revelation beautiful possibilities of changing the way people think by discipling, equipping, and sending them out to do battle with the satans kingdom and re-establish His kingdom in the earth through the Great Commission. With this illumination, we will be given insight and discernment as to how to position ourselves, since all our sins have been forgiven and we are always in right standing with God, to habitually be hungry and available to move His Kingdom forward.
With these "new eyes" also comes an all-consuming craving for the Word of God.
Hunger for God is one of the greatest signs of life a person can have. We must press past intellectual awareness to hunger for heartfelt expectation that changes and transforms.
LIVING IN THE GLORY OF GOD
In this season the Jesus wants to fill us with a holy desperation and a holy violence to lay hold of Him -- it's a fresh hunger and intimacy to come into an apprehension of the ascended life in Christ that we die to ourselves and personal agendas and acknowledge our oneness with Him, becoming passionate to disciple others into an understanding of their Christ identity.
"Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him." - John 6:27
God is desperately hungry for us to possess the promised land and lay hold of our DESTINY in Christ (God's CALLING on or life). We are to live in the very Glory of God. However, we must daily overcome the spirit of the world and press behind the veil that is already torn that we might eat of the Bread of Heaven -- discipling and overseeing the spiritual development of others.
EAT THE BOOK
There is an impartation granted to us that will bring with it a dramatic increase in revelation and our ability to "eat the book" as John was told in Revelation 10 (see verses 1-8 as well as Ezekiel 3:1-3).
In the same way that the Lord Jesus was the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us as we beheld His Glory (see John 1:14), we too must take hold of the Word and consume all that it contains until we become the Word. It is from this place that we become the pure, prophetic representation of His voice advancing His Kingdom, thereby changing the way people think about their Christ potential -- exacting havoc on the Kingdom of Darkness and begetting the Great Commission.
