Ears To Hear.

In the Gospel of Mark chapter 4 verse 9, Jesus said: “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.” Our Savior came as a light to our dark world with a message of hope: "Then Jesus cried out, "Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness." (John 12:44-46)

Following Jesus leads to eternal life, for He is the light sent by the Father to lead those who will believe from the darkness of this deceitful world, into the light of Gods eternal truth. What a wonderful promise for those of us who have heard, and responded to the Gospel message. We have crossed over from a life of darkness, into Jesus' wonderful light because, we are the ones who have ears to hear.

One of the greatest questions that we can consider is; ‘Why did a Holy God send His Son to this sinful world to die?’ The answer is because of Unmerited Love: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Oh what blessed assurance to know, and personally experience the love of God. People with their best intentions will let one another down. On the other hand, Our Heavenly Father is forever faithful and true.

The Gospel message was capsulated by Peter when he proclaimed in Acts 2:38: "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." It is only in believing in, and depending upon, the Sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sin, that we receive God's forgiveness which is God's only, and unique way of Salvation. In John 8: 36, Jesus affirmed this when He proclaimed: "if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

Today, let us give an ear to the Gospel message.
