STAND FOR TRUTH

Should we pray before we minister on the topic of condemnation? After all some will say there is no condemnation because we are in Christ. If the Holy Spirit truly gives us unction, does that unction condemn those who condemn? From where I am sitting, it’s hard to preach or teach on sin without condemnation which is designed to prompt conviction. Another question, wasn't it Jesus who said when the when the Holy Spirit comes he will reprove sin. Especially when it is rampant in the world, and we understand he will expose the devil, hypocrites, and lukewarm Christians.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13 KJV

It’s one thing for sinners to not want to hear truth, and quite another for Christians not to want to hear the truth. But it’s right there in the bible for us plainly written that God desires for called ministers to stand up and speak the truth.

(1) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
(2) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
(3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
(4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
(5) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
2 Timothy 4:1-5 KJV

Character Assassination, undermining, or to just plain flippantly gun for God's anointed vessels will not affect them in the long run. If one is sovereignty chosen and anointed by God, no, I say no weapon formed against them shall prosper in the way it is intended.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54:17

Our response to attacks whether they be direct, indirect, or incognito is to rejoice and be exceedingly glad!

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Matthew 5:10-12

In fact being attacked means we are being effective. The bible teaches us to be strong in the Lord and the power of his might! That means we are empty of ourselves and filled with his Spirit. I have come to find out, a man is never so empty than when he is full of himself, it stands to reason he is never so weak than when he is full of himself as well. When we teach in this manner we are pointing to the weakness of the soul and the strength of the spirit. The soul is the seat of the mind, will, and emotions of humanity, hence carnality, the spirit speaks to the new creation of God the reborn person created in the image of Christ who walks in the mind, will, and emotions of Spirit.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13

The Apostle Paul taught Timothy to endure hardness as a good soldier. In other words be strong in the Lord and the power of his might and then he told him not to get tangled of in the world, don't be distracted by it when it came to his calling. I have found that it takes strength to persevere in doing the will of God. Selah!

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
