The Contractor's Dream
This is an open dream I had this morning, meaning my eyes were shut but I was awake. The dream started with a narrator talking about a specific woman. She had hired contractors either for a new build or a renovation. They worked on a specific area of the build that was not done right. This mistake was going to cost them thousands to fix, but they decided to continue working on other areas of their contract, and hopefully the woman would not notice. Instead, they went about getting her distracted on other areas of their contract, hoping it would buy them time to find a cheaper alternative to get it fixed. After a while the woman did notice it but said nothing, hoping that the contractors would at least fix it, but they didn’t. She took photos of their shoddy work and showed it to her builder friend. He said that they made some serious mistakes and it would cost them thousands to fix.
She then approached them about it, but they tried to compromise with her on an alternative fix. She insisted, and they would not fix their mistake, making light of it, so she took them to court, and they lost. They had to repair the mistake they made. They were sorry that they tried to deceive her, underestimating her abilities in this field of workmanship, and they were hoping she was going to be forgiving because they were not going to try to deceive her again, but it was too late. She had already hired another contractor team to finish the work, and this company went bankrupt because bad transactions like this travel fast in the business world.
