Christianity us made up of believers and believers that get into the place of being hard on themselves or saying they are not worthy or they are worthless - are really not seeing what Christianity is. Christianity is -two- that have come together to be made one. That is precisely what happens to a sinner that get's saved. They go from death to life in a moment in spirit. When I think I'm bad or whatever it is that comes to mind it is the expression of the believer that is short in life not spirit. That is the proper way to look at christianity. If you look at me you can find a thousand things wrong with me because my expressor (your soul mind unique creation) will always have distortion to it.

A great scripture is 'raise a child in the way they should go and when they get old they will return.'

Now look at it like this (I understand what this verse is saying but look at this) when a person is born into this world they will have a fallen depraved death life nature that is separated from God. Though they are still created in the image and likeness of God but distorted by their fallen nature. Most of us don't even know that and do a pretty good job of living that death life. I know when I die I did not leave much on the table I have pretty much used it up - sin Satan death fall separated life nature - without the help of anyone. When I was a young man I had the meanest cousins (still do ha) they would get me to do mean things - but it was a natural thing to do that because of fallen depraved sin life. Rock fights, flipping off neighbors, shooting people with BB guns and all kinds of crazy and it gets worse the older you get. I grew up like that and it came natural.

That's what is in a nature - living a natural life.

The point is; when we get saved born again our minds have dealt with that old sin nature all of your life and the mind is still programed by the sin nature. You cannot compare what happened in spirit at the cross to what is happening in soul. I'll say it again. What happened in spirit is a complete product - finished product - that is what scriptures teach a believer. And then we start trying so hard to live up to some religion or whatever is going on with you - no renewed mind or at least is still getting out the spooks of the past knowledge and you judge and everyone judges if you really got saved.

It is quite a conundrum to say the least. But what it does do is keep a hungry heart searching - they want to know truth. I say keep knocking, keep asking, keep seeking!

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. - Matthew 7:7-12.

Hi Soul man, what point in time do you believe that we will gain salvation? Is that what the Bible is talking about when speaking of those who are saved?

I get the jest of what you are saying...the flesh is corrupt, was born corrupt and will die corrupt....there is no ressurrection for the flesh....
Our spirit is born again and is born of His Spirit making us one with Him not apart from Him.
When Jesus returns He will give us a new body....the corruptible will become incorruptible

1 Corinthians 15 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
⁵⁴ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
⁵⁵ O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Sometimes I don't know if I know what I'm saying haha but I give it a shot. But yes I do believe in being born from above. Flesh is flesh and the only overcomer in us - 'be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.'

I challenge you to pray about this...I always ask the Holy Spirit for any revelation knowledge of His Word when I study scripture....
as I was reading Genesis and God put skins on Adam and Eve, my eyes were opened and I saw the skins as being our flesh...before that they were clothed in Him.........Their nakedness was the absence of God's Shekinah Glory that once covered them and it also exposed their sin...they tried to hide it from God but when He asked them who told them they were naked? IMHO....they didn't understand what naked was until the serpent beguiled them and they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil....thus causing their righteous covering to disappear and they were openly exposed and naked to God and others of the sin that had entered in their bodies.

So you are saying now. Notice when the Bible says we gain everlasting life:
(Revelation 20:5) . . .(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1,000 years were ended.) . . .
Now those who were called to be saints or holy ones, perhaps the ones you mean, that are in Christ, they had a part in the first resurrection, and we believe that happened shortly after Jesus received the Crown, perhaps you believe similarly, but for the vast majority of mankind salvation comes to them at the end of the millennial reign of Christ.

Maybe you think that saved is other than something than salvation, is that the case sir?

Can you explain what you think was said.
I'm not understanding what you are saying. I said salvation is a person what do you say?

Salvation is receiving the gift that God gives sir, everlasting life. We are saved from everlasting death brought forth by Adam's sin.

Just call me Mike. But what is salvation, do you have a definition of salvation?

I will make a note Mike, call me Bob as well sir. Saved means Salvation, Salvation means receiving the gift of everlasting life. What else could it mean? There are only two eventualities, everlasting life or death.
