That article is from NPR. Are you aware that NPR is a propaganda arm of the Leftists in America? They are definitely not objective.
Several tough questions need to be asked:
1. Where is the documentation regarding the people who supposedly have this variant? And were they treated with the cheap and effective remedies which are presently available?
2. What kind of tests have been conducted to establish that this is actually a variant or even connected to COVID? Actual lab tests of 1,500 samples in university labs showed that Influenza A (primarily) and Influenza B were the viruses found in samples taken from COVID patients.
3. Has the variant actually been isolated in laboratories in the USA and confirmed to be a virus derived from SARS-Cov-2? Or is all of this merely conjecture? How do we know that it not the spike proteins or virus particles from the vaccines themselves that have produced this result? There are more and more reports that people who were vaccinated have been testing positive for COVID! Imagine!
4. Are people aware that the Indian government is strongly objecting to this label? COVID deaths were falling in India until they went on a vaccine binge. Then the deaths skyrocketed. But now that they have gone back to Ivermectin and HCQ, the picture has changed dramatically. Yet WHO, FDA, NIH etc have all been sabotaging these treatments. Why?

Nothing published by the MSM (which includes NPR) should be trusted since it is primarily propaganda. It is significant that a Google search shows primarily MSM articles on this subject.

Though it could shed light on their new tactic to keep the fear of Covid-19 active.
Especially with the reports of so many dead in India from Covid-19 that there isn't enough wood available to keep the pyres sustained.
