Well....for those that do not believe God's 7th day sabbath is to be observed, you still did it anyway.

The sun has gone down. God's sabbath has ended. Thanks for the conversations!

I'm sure I'll reply during the week, but for sure we'll converse next sabbath!

God bless!!

Colossians 2:16 (NKJV)
[sup]16 [/sup]So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,

Ok Lord, I won't.

You know it hits me Eccl's purpose... To condemn others (Via OT laws), while making nothing applicable to himself (As we see demonstrated by his evasion of the "you must put to death" commands).

I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.

That verse is so often misunderstood and we must remember what is written in 2 Peter.....

2 Peter 3:15-17 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

As you can see...it is vital to understand the writings of God through Paul, even if they are "hard to be understood." A key verse is the one you quoted....

Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

As the day of the sabbath was chosen by God, as are the Holy days, as are what we are to eat and drink....for they are shadows of "things to come," then they are to be heeded! Instead, we follow days chosen by man. We worship on Sunday instead of the Sabbath. We celebrate easter instead of observing Passover, we eat anything we want (again misunderstanding one of Paul's teachings). So, what the above verse says to me is....

If you are of the body of Christ then follow MY instructions and don't allow others to judge you as you do.

Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

You totally don't understand the context of Paul's statement, then.

In my statement he is talking about the law. Those that follow a part of it (the circumcision, was his example)- must follow all of it.

In Philippians he's speaking of circumcision by the spirit, yes? We no longer have a need to follow the law of it for we have been in spirit.

Even those that were circumcisied at birth? They had no choice in the matter! I never understood what you were trying to say whenever you mentioned this scripture!

What are you trying to say here?

:) Well it's evident that one of us doesn't understand it.

So then, you believe in executing those who work on the Sabbath as was commanded in THE LAW of Moses? Or do you, like some here, choose what you want to obey from THE LAW? How about adulterers and homosexuals? Execution as commanded? Do you really keep these commands from THE LAW? How about those of other religions? Execution? There's a lot of Muslims out there.

Exodus 31:15 (NKJV)
[sup]15 [/sup]Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

That's a commandment, not a request.

And as always, to all those, reading, teaching, learning, spreading, watching or listening to God's word on this, God's 7th day, ...even though you think God honors all days the same....have a blessed Sabbath!

I see there was great activity on today, God's sabbath! For me it was truly a day of rest....but was still able to read God's word and work on a few lessons. Again, the sun has set and another sabbath has ended.

God bless.
