Give out your personal information online? Why or why not? I wouldn't because as much as I like it here and consider you my online friends we are really strangers for real. I mean, I love you guys,.. but when the day comes for me to be on my own (not before then) I'm going to Zoom with people first and then once I feel comfortable enough meet in public maybe like I'm going to do with @JohnDB and somebody else that I know online and maybe some other people. That way, there would be security cameras involved.

That's very reasonable. We don't really know each other here

Just curious because I've received email addresses and phone numbers before from people on here. Not naming names,.. but,.. isn't that dangerous? o_O

Well I would be very careful. If you do choose to reply, it's your choice whether you do or not, make sure you know who you're truly speaking to and always take precautions. Take care of you, be safe.

No... First let me say I like @JohnDB... We have had wonderful conversations on the stock market and he's helped me greatly... I also see his spiritual side a bit in those conversations.
Sharing your beliefs is fine up to a point. The Bible says not to cast your pearls before swine, so I don't share all of them right away.

But personal information is not something I do real quick. My name, where I live, what Church I go to. Pics... No. I don't do it. We aren't supposed to know each other after the flesh, so there isn't a reason to give out those details.

It's probably safer to give out one's information in this community than it is at one's local church. Let's not forget that, the "BTK" serial killer, Dennis Rader, was the president of his Lutheran church's congregation.

With that said, we can have fellowship together while remaining anonymous.

Internet scamming is a worldwide industry. Many have learned the hard way! Scammers are now stealing the equity in people's homes! Many of the scammers are outside the US!

No, but I don't consider email address personal info. I give to my friends because I want to stay in contact when I am not able to reach them for reasons :)
