This sounds a lot like a description of the corruption of the flesh. Believing what is not true, those lies controlling the will, making people slaves to sin.

"You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Its when we learn the truth that we can start to live right. And the more truth we embrace, the better our lives will be.

Much love!
Or a reprobate mind

Since this is still my thread, I would appreciate others not coming here to derail, condemn, attack, or make fun of survivors and what they face. If you can't speak from a position of knowledge, experience, and God-given understanding ....you shouldn't be here.

Walter, I don't know of any topics that are unlawful to discuss. This thread is, in general, meant to be a place where survivors of various traumatic experiences can minister to one another as they learn about the Lord, and pursue Him for healing and restoration.

That does require some pretty graphic discussion of very unpleasant subjects. There isn't much that will shock anyone here.
Jostler, you are correct you don't know, but Sir, I do know of many, but let me first start with this matter with the scriptures,

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes Twelve:13-14

DID has nothing at all to do with a reprobate mind.

We were just talking about how mental issues seem to mirror spiritual issues. Like, for myself, I'm not DID, although I think if I were a little more so what I am, I would be, if that makes sense to you.

I do have other mental issues, though, and I see how they work in my mind, and I see how it seems to be like the corruption of the flesh.

Actually, I've come to see this to be maybe the same thing.

Change my brain in a certain way, and I have depression. Change my brain another way and I have anxiety. Beat me and molest me and terrorize me for my childhood and my brain is a mess. And I see how all that causes me to think certain ways, and I have to overcome that.

It seems the same thing in being born in a body of sinful flesh. My brain is a mess, and I have to overcome it. Without Jesus, there is no hope because that messed up brain is all I have, it's mind. But now with the mind of Christ, I can choose that instead.

Everyone is reprobate without Christ, and some of us have other problem too. Does that help clarify?

Much love!

I get what you're saying, but DID is not a mental illness, and there is no chemical imbalance related to it. It is a coping mechanism.

Guys, I'll try to finish the points I wanted to highlight from those scriptures relating to strongholds and sanctification a bit later.
I'm looking forward to it. Seems that just when you got good and started on some Biblical teaching, the thread got derailed.
Praying....

When things settle and you are able to get back to the teaching you were bringing, I would like for you to quote your previous posts, if it's not too difficult ...so we can see where you left off and it's not chopped up amongst everything else. You think?

Jostler, Why so, when this matter at hand is from the OP, which is to us is very important, to me this discussion is all about where it started, while it is fresh in our mind. Why not see it from the beginning? Thanks.

Walter, brother @Jostler has offered much support, love, and prayer for survivors of SRA/MK. He was right in the middle of bringing some Biblical teaching points that is much needed and relevant to this thread and the life of survivors. I would very much appreciate if we can allow him to continue with that.

Thank you!

I'm a bit confused as to what is important to you to discuss, Walter? I prefer to continue with what was on my mind after we have resolved whatever issue is on your mind to discuss.

I have been with this thread enough to realize that to what you all is having this way with agreement among yourselves, from the OP it was started with your own note.

I'm really not seeing the problem. It is my thread. I started it for awareness as well as for survivors. That is exactly what this thread is being used for and what I intended it for. @Jostler is here as a support person.
