Zechariah the Prophet

Zechariah 2:1-5 I looked and saw a man measuring Jerusalem. It will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and livestock within it. The Lord says; I, Myself will be a wall of fire around it and a Glorious Presence within it.
Although it has usually been assumed that these verses apply to the Millennium period; a careful study of the context and matching passages, especially Ezekiel chapters 40 to 48 and Ezekiel 38:8 & 11, shows that all this will happen before the Return of Jesus.


Zechariah 2:6-9 Come away, flee from the land of the North, flee from your dispersion around the world. The Lord says: Escape from Babylon, you people of Zion. My mission is to speak out against those nations that have plundered you, that ‘have touched the apple of His eye’. He will surely raise His hand against them and their former slaves will plunder them.
As soon as the time period decreed for the exile of Israel [2730 years] and Judah [1960 years] is completed, the Lord will call them out of Babylon. [1st Exodus: Egypt, 2nd Exodus: “Babylon” is a metaphor for all the godless nations.] He will punish those who caused trouble to His people and they will take goods and treasure back to the Land with them. Exodus 12:35-36


Zechariah 2:10-12 Shout and be glad, people of Zion, for the Lord is coming and He will dwell among you. Many nations will give their allegiance to Him on that Day and you will know that I have brought His message to you. He will claim the portion of Judah in the Holy Land and will again make Jerusalem His city.

‘The Lord is coming, He will dwell among you’. This will happen first with the Shekinah glory in the new Temple, Ezekiel 43:1-4, then later, at the Return of Jesus.

‘Many nations’, not the whole world, as it will be after the Return. Revelation 15:4

‘Jerusalem, His city’, This will be completely fulfilled at the end of the Millennium. Revelation 21:1-4


Zechariah 2:13 Let all mortals be silent, because the Lord has roused Himself and come down from His holy dwelling place. Isaiah 28:21
This refers to the next prophesied event – the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, a worldwide judgement of fire against His enemies. Revelation 6:12-17

Zechariah 3:9-10 In a single Day, I will wipe away the guilt of this Land. On that Day, you will call everyone your neighbour, under the vine and under the fig tree.

Israel – the vine, Judah – the fig tree, rejoined at last. Ezekiel 37:15-23, Isaiah 5:7

This time, the Lord will help His people by destroying their enemies in a single Day. From this and other prophecies, we know that this will be done by a Coronal Mass Ejection, an earth directed explosion of the suns surface.

Jeremiah 25:30-31 The Lord roars from on high, from His dwelling place, against all the inhabitants of the Land. The noise reaches the ends of the earth as He brings judgement against all the nations and the wicked peoples will be killed.

Coronal Mass Ejections are relatively common and typically occur at peak sunspot cycles. The last one to hit the earth directly was in 1859 and it disrupted telegraph systems, but there isn't a single recorded death for the event. CMEs cause geomagnetic storms in the ionosphere and if we were hit by one now it would tend to wipe out communications and navigation, possibly interfere with other electronic equipment, but there's nothing to suggest that it would significantly impact the earth's temperature at sea level.
A brief increase in cosmic rays penetrating the magnetosphere is expected to occur and would be more likely to damage organic tissue, but wouldn't necessarily be immediately lethal either. Solar plasma is electrically charged, so the bulk of any coronal ejections to hit our magnetosphere are driven towards the Earth's poles where they typically produce light shows which we know as Aurora borealis.
The scripture tells us that the Lord our God is a consuming fire. While I don't take that literally, I don't think He's a CME either, but something weird has to happen to the sun for a literal occurrence of the events described by the prophets. I just think it would take a bigger event like a stellar collision or something which suddenly changes the thermonuclear generative cycle within the sun's core. If there were a sudden core collapse and the entire Corona was "thrown" off. I suspect that would be a bit more damaging. You never know what might happen if we start messing with space/time and artificial gravitational fields, but that's were the discipline of experimental physics has been playing in the last few decades. I suppose we'll know soon enough.

I am about to rescue My people from countries in the East and West and bring them back to live in Jerusalem. They will be My people and I shall be their God, in faithfulness and justice.

These are the words of the Lord of Hosts; Take heart, all you who now hear that the Temple is to be rebuilt as the prophets foretold. Before that time, there was no hiring of man or beast, because of your enemies, for I had set every man against his neighbor. But, I do not feel the same toward the remnant of this people as I did in former days, says the Lord of Hosts. For they will sow in safety, I will give them rain and the Land will yield it’s produce. This is the inheritance of My people. To the nations you, House of Judah and House of Israel, have become as a curse; now I shall save you – you will become proverbial as a blessing. Courage, do not lose heart!

These are the words of the Lord; Just as I determined to bring disaster on you when your forefathers made Me angry, so I have resolved to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid. This is what you must do; speak the truth to each other and administer true justice in your courts. Do not plot evil and do not love perjury, for all these I hate. This is the word of the Lord.

These are the words of the Lord; Keep the fasts of the 4th, 5th, 7th and 10th months. They will be festivals of joy for Judah. Love truth and peace. In future, nations and peoples will come to Jerusalem to entreat the favour of the Lord. In those days, 10 people from every nation will take hold of a Jew and say; Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you. Ref; REB, NIV, KJV. Some verses abridged.


‘I am about to rescue My people…they will be My people and I will be their God’. We know from New Testament teaching, that the Lord’s people are every true Christian person, Jew or Gentile. 1 Peter 2:9-10, Rev 5:9-10, Ezekiel 34:11-16 Now I shall take thought for My sheep…I will rescue them from wherever they are scattered in the Day of cloud and darkness. I shall bring them home, to their own Land and make them prosper. Isaiah 60:4, Jeremiah 31:1-6, Ezekiel 36:8-12, Amos 9:14

‘the Day of cloud and darkness’, is the Day of the Lord’s wrath, a CME sunstrike that will de-populate the entire holy Land area, also causing worldwide devastation. Isaiah 30:25-30

‘I have set every man against his neighbor’. This is the current situation in the Middle East.

‘Courage, do not lose heart’. This proves that we must pass through the terrible testing and trials of the forthcoming Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath. A literal Day of fire from the sky, of earthquakes, storm winds and tsunamis. It will be a period of ‘cloud and darkness’, from the smoke and ash clouds that will envelope the earth. Zeph. 1:15, Matt.24:29,Joel 2:1-2

‘Peoples will come to Jerusalem to worship the Lord, in the new Temple’. From the context of this quote and from other prophesies, it is clear that this will happen before the Return of Jesus for His Millennial, worldwide reign. Ezekiel 43:4…the Shekinah Glory of God will come into the Temple by the East gate.
And even though verse 23 mentions a Jew, as one who enjoys the Lord’s favor, we know from verse 13 and many other prophesies that Christians from every nation and language, Isaiah 56:1-8, will become citizens of Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5, the new nation formed after the judgement/punishment of fire has cleared and cleansed the entire Middle East.
Deuteronomy 32:34-43, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Jeremiah 10:18, Amos 1:2-15

Zechariah 9:14-17 The Lord will appear over them. His arrow will flash like lightning. The Lord will sound the trumpet and advance with the storm winds of the south. He will protect the sons of Zion, they will prevail [over their enemies] and exult as if drunk with wine.

On that Day, the Lord will save his own people, like a flock, for they are precious to Him and they will adorn His Land. They will live in plenty and prosperity.

Zechariah 10:1-3 Ask the Lord for rain, He who makes the storm clouds, and He will give it at the right time. Do not rely on divination. Your leaders do not give good counsel or guide the people properly. They will be punished.

Zechariah 10:4-7 The Lord will care for His flock. From Judah will come strong leaders, they will prevail, because the Lord is with them. I shall give triumph to the House of Judah and victory to the House of Joseph. I shall restore them, in My compassion, it will be as though I never cast them off. So, the Ephraimites will be like warriors, they will rejoice in the Lord.


Zechariah 10:8-10 I shall whistle to call them in, for I have delivered them and they will be as many as they used to be. I dispersed them among the nations, but yet, in far off lands, they will remember their God and will return. I will bring them home and lead them into [New] Israel until the Land is full.

Zechariah 10:11-12 My people will pass through Egypt – the Nile will dry up. Assyria will be brought low. But the strength of the Israelites is in the Lord, they will march into the holy Land proudly in His Name. This is the Word of the Lord. Ref: REB, NIV.


This passage of Scripture from the prophet Zechariah, is another example of how God will exact punishment on His enemies, by fire, lightning and storms, some of the effects of a CME sunstrike. Isaiah 30:25-28 “On that Day, God will save His own people”. They must rely and trust in the Lord for their redemption and sustenance. Isaiah 30:15


Wait for the whistle! Though scattered in far off lands, the Israel of God: now every faithful Christian person, Galatians 3:26-29, will acknowledge their God and will move into the holy Land, their inheritance – marching proudly in the Name of the Lord. Isaiah 35:1-10

This regathering cannot be the same event as when the Lord Jesus, sends out His angels to gather His chosen ones at the Return. Matthew 24:31. Therefore, it happens before then, soon after the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, as we see in Revelation 7:9. This is in order for the Lord’s people, living in the new country of Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5, to be His witnesses and the light to the nations and to prepare for the Return of Jesus.

Zechariah 9:14-15 The Lord will appear over His people and His weapon of judgement will flash like lightning. His war shofar will make a great sound, accompanied by a terrible whirlwind. The Lord will protect His people and they will exult in His deliverance. Paralleled by Isaiah 30:26

Zechariah 10:1-12 For now, your false gods and idols give empty promises, dreams and delusions. So My people are left to wander about, like sheep and distressed for the lack of a proper shepherd.

The Lord’s anger burns against the leaders of His people, they will fall on the Day of His wrath.

For the Lord will care for His flock, He will strengthen the House of Judah and save the House of Joseph. From Judah will come the leaders that will be My battleaxe and they will rout the enemy, because I am with them. The warriors of Ephraim will exult and rejoice in the Lord’s victory and in their deliverance. The families of the Lord’s people will see and be glad with what the Lord has done.

The pride of the nations will be brought low, but Israel’s strength will be in the Lord, they will march proudly in His Name.

He will whistle and call them in. His redeemed people, though now in far off lands, they will answer the call. They will return to their heritage, bringing their children with them. The Lord will bring them home from every nation around the world and He will lead them into Gilead and Lebanon until there is no more room for them all. They will pass through rivers that will dry up for them to cross.

The Lord will give rain in due season, grass in the fields and fruit abundantly. On the Day the Lord takes action, He will save His flock. For they are like precious gems in His crown, they will sparkle all over His Land. What wealth is theirs! What beauty! Good food and drink will give health and strength to the young men and women. Ref: REB, CJB.


This prophecy reiterates the great promise of God to His righteous people, whether they are true descendants of Jacob or grafted in Christians. The Lord will protect them on His great Day of judgement and punishment of the nations, as He brings down the pride of His enemies, but the strength of all true believers is in the Lord. He will be revealed to them; 2 Thess. 1:10, and will direct them into the Holy Land as He did with ancient Israel. 1 Corinthians 10:4 This is not the Return in glory, to come later.

All of that area given so long ago to Abraham, will be burnt, devastated and depopulated by the Lord’s Day of wrath – lightning flashes, great noise, earthquakes and powerful storms - as described here and in other prophesies as a coronal mass ejection, explosion of the sun, that will affect all of the world, but primarily the Middle East region. Zephaniah 2:4, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Amos 1, 2 Peter 3:7


Ezekiel 36:8 But you mountains of Israel, put forth your branches and bear fruit, for the homecoming of My people is near.
This and many other prophesies say how the Lord will send rain and the holy Land will quickly regenerate into a Land of plenty and prosperity, ready for the great emigration of all the Lord’s Christian peoples. Psalms 107, Ezekiel 34:11-16, Romans 9:24-26
They will live there as the rest of the end time prophesies unfold and it is them who say to Jesus: Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord! Be ready for the whistle!

He is a satanic MONSTER physically structured of 7 heads, and 10 horns and a TAIL) stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven(Ephesians 1:v.3) shall be shaken.

3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

Nope, didn't see a thing, but it was the first time that I was able to see the milky way in quite a few years. I was playing with a phone app called SkEye and could identify constellations, stars and planets just by holding my phone up and pointing my arm at what I was trying to identify. I only recognize a few constellations on my own.

By your own words when you say (we), it means you and others "know that this will be done by a Coronal Mass Ejection, an earth directed explosion of the suns surface", only GOD knows not of this.

Your interpretation here is a CME - Completely mislead, Erratic. What you said has nothing to do with the Word of GOD. It is an invention if not from you it is from a deceptive interpret of Scriptures.

Well, the last Day, the LORD's Day, that is the seventh and last Day, or seventh and last millennium, it has arrived.

GOD is a devouring/ consuming FIRE.
The Word is GOD. The question is: Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

Isaiah 33:v.10 to 14

10 Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

The punishment of the world of Devil had a predetermined time to begin, and it has already begun because the time arrived, and this punishment will be for ever, it will never stop, but never. Woe of the world of Devil.

The Lord used water the last time He reset our civilization. This time it will be by fire, which must be fron=m a natural source, as many people will survive and form a One world Govt.

On the Day of Destruction:

Isaiah 30:25-28 On the Day of slaughter1, when all the military fortresses fall2, water will flow from every mountain and hilltop. The moon will burn as brightly4 as the sun and the sun will give out seven times its normal strength3, like seven days power in one. On that Day the Lord will turn again to the welfare of His people7. He will recompense them for the punishments inflicted upon them.

See: the Lord Himself comes from afar5, His anger blazing and His doom heavy. His mouth is charged with wrath and His tongue is like a devouring fire3. His breath is like a torrent in spate: to judge the nations with His mighty affliction.
He sieves out the proud nations for destruction6 and there will be a halter in the mouths of their people, leading them to ruin.

1/ The Day prophesied over 100 times in the Bible. The Day when people scramble for cover; they will call out ‘The great Day of the wrath of Almighty God and the Lamb has come and who can stand? Revelation 6:12-17, Isaiah 2:12-21

2/ Military personnel, ordnances and weapons will be destroyed on that Day. Hosea 2:18, Amos 5:9, Micah 5:10, Jeremiah 50:27

3/ Seven times ambient temperature: say 16c X 7 = 112c, that is 12c above the boiling point for water. Isaiah 64:2 The only literal explanation of what will cause all the vividly described prophesied effects, is a coronal mass ejection of an unprecedented magnitude.

5/ This sudden and unexpected Day is instigated by the Lord, but He is not seen at this time; coming in fire – Isaiah 66:15-16, Psalms 18:7-15.
A Day quite different from the Return, when every eye will see Him; to come later.

7/ We are told to pray and trust in the Lord’s protection on that terrible Day, Isaiah 30:15 but we are also warned about what will come and should make preparations for shelter and supplies, then to be aware of what He has planned for His people, now every faithful Christian from every tribe, race, nation and language. The great Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath will happen as the prophets say:

Moses prophesied: Deut. 32:22 & 41 Fire is set ablaze by the Lord’s anger, it burns to the depths of the hills and devours the earth and its harvest.

Hannah prophesied: 1 Samuel 2:10 Those who oppose the Lord will be terrified when from the heavens He thunders against them and judges all the world.

David prophesied: 2 Samuel 22:8-16 The heavens parted and the earth shook at the Lord’s rebuke of searing heat and devouring fire. Psalm 11:6 The Lord will rain fiery coals and scorching winds upon the heads of the wicked. Psalm 37:20 The godless will perish, like fuel in a furnace they will go up in smoke.

Solomon prophesied: Proverbs 10:25 When the tempest and whirlwind have passed, the wicked are no more.

Asaph prophesied: Psalm 50:3 God is coming, consuming fire goes ahead of Him and around Him a great storm rages. Psalm 83:13-15 The Lord will scatter His enemies like chaff and as a raging fire across the hills.

Ezra prophesied: 2 Esdras 16:14-15 Calamities are let loose and will not turn back before they strike the earth. The fire is alight and will not be put out before it consumes and devastates the earth.

Elihu prophesied: Job 36:32-33 The Lord charges thunderbolts with flames and launches them straight at His target. In His anger, he calls up the storm tempest and thunder heralds his coming.

Isaiah prophesied: Isaiah 9:18-19 Wicked men are set ablaze like a bush fire, they are fuel for the fire and the land is scorched by the fury of the Lord. Isaiah 29:6 Suddenly, in an instant punishment will come from the Lord with thunder, earthquakes, storm tempests and flames of devouring fire. Isaiah 34:1-5 Come, all you people and listen. The Lord is about to vent His wrath against the nations. He will give them up to slaughter and destruction and many will die. On that Day, the sky will be blasted aside, as His sword appears and descends in judgement, onto all who are doomed for death.

Jeremiah prophesied: Jeremiah 5:14 Because Israel defies Me, I shall burn up this people like brushwood. Jeremiah 7:20 My anger and fury will pour out on this place, everything will burn unquenched. Jeremiah 21:14 I shall set fire to your land, it will devour everything around about.

Ezekiel prophesied: Ezekiel 20:47-48 The Lord says: I am about to kindle a fire in the land, it will consume everything flammable. All will know that I have done this. Ezekiel 30:3-5 & 16 I shall set Egypt on fire. On the Day of Reckoning for the nations, Egypt and all the Arab lands will fall by the sword of judgement.

Hosea prophesied: Hosea 8:14 Israel has forgotten her Maker, they are rich and complacent, so I will burn her cities and fire will destroy her strongholds.

Joel prophesied: Joel 1:15 The Day is near, a terrible destruction from the Almighty, the land lies burnt and dry, for fire has consumed the trees and pastures. Joel 2:3 A devouring fire and leaping flames passes by, leaving behind a desolate wasteland, nothing survives its passing.

Amos prophesied: Amos 1:1-15 & 2:1-5 I shall send fire to consume Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Arabia and Israel.

Obadiah prophesied: Obadiah 1:18 The descendants of Esau will be set alight and burned up with no survivors.

Micah prophesied: Micah 5:10-11 On that Day, I will destroy your armed forces and burn your cities.

Habakkuk prophesied: Habakkuk 3:12 Furiously You traversed the earth, in anger You trample the nations.

Zephaniah prophesied: Zephaniah 1:18 The whole Land will be consumed by the fire from the Lord. He will make a sudden and terrible end to all who live in the Land. Zephaniah 3:8 I will pour My wrath onto nations and kingdoms. My burning anger will consume the whole earth.

Haggai prophesied: Haggai 2:21-22 I shall shake the heavens and the earth, I will break the power of the heathen, destroying their armed forces.

Zechariah prophesied: Zechariah 9:14 The Lord will appear over His people like a flashing arrow, with thunder and storm winds.

Malachi prophesied: Malachi 4:1 The Day comes, burning like a furnace, all arrogant and evildoers will be as stubble. That Day will set them ablaze, none will survive.

John prophesied: Matthew 3:10-12 The axe is ready to cut down any tree that does not bear good fruit and it will be thrown onto the fire. I baptize with water, but Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand and he will gather His people, but the ungodly He will burn in the fire.

Jesus prophesied: Matthew 13:30 Tell the reapers to gather the weeds first for burning, then collect the good crop into My storehouse. Matthew 24:27 Like a lightning flash that lights the sky from East to West, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Paul prophesied: Romans 1:18 Divine retribution can be seen at work, falling from heaven onto all the ungodly people who deny the truth. 1 Corinthians 3:13 On the Day of judgement, that Day will dawn in fire and fire will test each person’s worth. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 The Lord Jesus metes out His punishment of blazing fire onto all those who refuse to acknowledge God or the Gospel of Jesus. On that great Day He will reveal His glory to all believers.

Peter prophesied: 2 Peter 3:7 & 10 By God’s Word the present heavens and earth are reserved for burning, kept until the Day of judgement when the godless will be destroyed. Suddenly and unexpectedly the Lord will make the heavens disappear with a great sound and flames will envelope the earth, all in it will be brought to judgement.

The Revelation of Jesus: Revelation 14:18 From the altar came the angel with authority over fire, he said: reap the earth for the harvest is ripe. Revelation 6:17
