Isaiah 48:12

“Listen to Me, Jacob,
and Israel, the one called by Me:
I am He; I am the first,
I am also the last"

Who is the Speaker in this verse/passage, and what do the words, "I am the first, I am also the last", mean?

Bible Gateway passage: Isaiah 48 - Holman Christian Standard Bible
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 22:12-13
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

My take on "grace through faith" is that by His grace, He took on our
punishment, and by faith we believe in His work on the cross that saves...JMO.

and His words?

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mk 16:16 faith & baptism?

@Ronald Nolette In Acts 2.41, it was those who gladly received his word that were baptized. They were not baptized in order to try to become believers. They were baptized because they were believers already... :)

Baptism is an ordinance for obedience unto discipleship! In Jesus' day being baptized could literally mean life or death. Today in so much of the world- not so much. One will not gorw if they refuse baptism, and if one persists in not being baptized and it is not for lousy info they were taught, one can truly wonder if their conversion was real.

Faith alone apart from the sacraments
Questions

where does scripture says we have died with Christ by “faith alone”?

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

where does scripture say we are members of Christ and his church by “faith alone”?

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

where does scripture says we put on Christ by “faith alone”?

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Where does scripture say our sins are washed away by “faith alone”?

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

where does scripture say we are saved or justified by “faith alone”?

1 pet 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!

The only reference in scripture to “faith alone” is James 2:24 NOT BY “FAITH ALONE”?

Jn 3:5 born again by faith alone?

Where is “Accept Christ as your personal lord & savior” is not found in scripture?

They did not go preaching this line but went immediately to the river and baptized Jn 3:22

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Eph 4:5 one baptism

Why don’t it say one teeny tiny little act of “faith alone”???

When we first believed we are saved?

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Isaiah 48:1 is very clear, that Yahweh is the Speaker in verse 12. The words "I am the first, I also am the last." literally means The Eternal God, without beginning and end.

These words are also Spoken by Jesus Christ in Revelation 1:18; 2:8 and 22:13, which makes Jesus Christ the Eternal God, YHWH.

Unitarianism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and anyone else that denies that Great Bible Truth about Jesus Christ, are destroyed by these Scriptures!

Jesus is speaking to both houses: the house of Israel, and the other fold that He must also bring.

Jesus is the first to be born of the Spirit of God, and the last to die of the flesh: the first of the living, and the last of the dead.

where in the Bible does it say that Jesus Christ as YHWH, was ever "born"?
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
Isaiah 11:1

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.Isaiah 28:10

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23

You can apply these words to both the Father and the Son, and that would be perfectly in accordance with Scripture. This is "the Mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ". So those who deny the deity of Christ and the Holy Trinity are in deep trouble.
