I heard a story about a man who lived in a town that was down river from a dam. The dam broke, and the flood waters were coming down the canyon. The man prayed for God to protect him. He heard a knocking at the door. It was one of his neighbors. "Hurry, get into my pickup. We still have time to get to higher ground!" "God will protect me", the man replied.

The waters rose and the man had to go up to a second story bedroom. He saw a man in a boat outside. "Get in the boat with me!" "No", the man said. "God will protect me".

These MASS murders, and MANY more that we see on a regular basis, shows that it is both UNBIBLICAL and UNCHRISTIAN for anyone, especially if the are followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, to own any form of weapon!

The US Constitution that allows for this is VERY WRONG!

You said it is unbiblical to own any gun. Yet I noticed no actual Scripture was quoted. How about this for Christian & Biblical? Jesus telling us to sell our coat to buy a weapon is good enough for me. Too bad Jesus did not have your wisdom and sensibiliites to react emotionally to headlines, huh?

Sure but the reason the Founding Father's put the 2A into the Constitution is not for sport or hunting. It is the final protection against a tyrannical government. History has proven them correct. The 1st thing tyrants do when the get into office is take away private gun ownership and then the horrors begin.

Where people are allowed to have guns, many of these crimes have been prevented.

BTW, the Powers-That-Be have a whole industry here in the States whose purpose is to make people afraid so that they'll buy guns. Afraid of immigrants and people of other races and nationalities. Afraid of street crime. Afraid of their own government.

I look to many things for protection. Good tires, shovel snow and put ice on walkway. I make sure my brakes are in good working order and use my seatbelt. My car automatically locks the doors when I get to 20 mph.

I have a variety of insurences and take vitamins.

There are all sorts of PPE I use. Hats, gloves, safety glasses. Steel toe shoes and knee pads. Heck, I even use sun screen and bug spray.

Communism makes the appeal to need. Freedom is not about need.

Security, police and military are honorable jobs. I, for one, find honor in being a protector. Just remember, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away ... from my wife, daughter, grandchildren, my own safety and security, etc.

Y'all can give up your guns if that makes you feel better. It is a stupid move though. We need weapons until Jesus comes back then we can beat them into plowshares. This world is way too dangerous to not defend yourself.
