boy. Christ sure seems sensitive about getting credit for being murdered by us........should we only inhale air (passive) as we breathe, when we are turning our lives over to Jesus? Wouldn't want to put forth any effort of our own and risk taking any of the credit.....

All relationships take the participation of everyone involved - you cannot separate faith and works. You guys are acting like Paulists - hyper-Paulists. He was talking to a Jewish audience that we taught by Pharisees to perform public, prideful, empty works to please God. Paul being a former Pharisee is now trying to correct and change their understanding of God and works. He was not advocating that we become vegetables for Jesus.

Repetitive argumentation? It is better to look more closely at what the rest of the bible says to get a clearer picture of the word of God.

I am espousing walking in the Spirit according to the divine power of grace not a self-help effort! What makes you not able to see this?
I think the fact is people like that do not want to see it and that is the whole problem.
As i think they like to be detached from Jesus Christ in a way.
And think everything is some type of peter pan stuff and just off with the pixies.
I wonder if you asked for help would they respond. like why should they or why would they ?

If I ask man and believe what man tells me to do then my faith would be in man, Religious man will say that being taught by the Holy Spirit is impossible. They will also say that you can't just trust in God, you must also trust in your works.

I have placed my belief, faith, trust and confidence in the work of God on the cross when He shed His blood to reconcile me to Himself. According to scriptures those who trust in the Lord will never be put to shame. But I am sure that this is too simple for the reigious who are proud of their works.

You are confusing faith and hope...Trusting in a past event and looking for a future life is about hope not faith. Faith moves mountains TODAY. Our walk is NOW, So if you walk by faith then you will inherit what is hoped for at that time. We reap what we sow. So we walk by the power of Christ NOW and we will rule with Christ THEN. But if we walk as any man in sin...then we will not rule with Christ. We will be as any other man....lacking the faith of Jesus Christ. We SHOW our faith by the divine works we do in Christ. Those who walk as ordinary men are NOT in Christ.
