So you're saying nobody's under grace?

Are you saying there are no saints in the world?

God's provision has been short-circuited by the itching ears crowd that want to keep their old lives AND somehow be saved anyways. There are many teachers for hire that will tell you what you want to hear. The truth comes at a higher cost but at no financial price. Nobody is going to pay to hear the truth. Truth doesn't sell!

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

His life in us sets us free from sin. If we live in His life we cannot sin. Sin is outside His life. It is death. The soul that sins...it shall die.

All that is not of faith is sin..
Gal_4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

The old man is meant to be cast off so we can put on the new man. The old man is the sin factory of death.

Rom_13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Sin is meant to be cast out..off...whatever! :)

Don't you think that you are taking what Paul said in Galatians out of context? To my knowledge he is relating the difference between the old covenant and the new.

As far as the scripture you quoted from Romans 13:12 it is a different Greek word, apotithēmi and it means "to put aside". Where ballō used in 1 John 4:18 means to throw or cast out.

The bible is written according to type...so different words are used to surround a subject...but it takes the Holy Spirit to see the truth of it. Jesus said He would spew believers out of His mouth unless they repented. Other scriptures allude to this by saying...cut-off...cast-out...rejected...removed...etc. So the event can be described many ways...but the event is the same in every case.

For example...

Jesus said...

Go and sin no more! Jesus said that then died to make it come true!!! :)

Well I gave you the proper definitions of the Greek words used in the texts discussed, so we will just have to disagree. We see the new covenant and the gospel from different mindsets.
Thanks for responding and regarding forum rules. :)

We are saved through the ultimate love act of Christ, which resulted in God's forgiveness of our betrayal in the Garden. Jesus is like God's heart breaking for us. As a result of God's forgiveness we are able to receive His love and thereby share it with others........this is our sanctification, redemption, and salvation.

I have never heard of a Saint that said he was not a sinner. as they knew there sin and repented.

Is anyone saying that a great Saint ran around telling everyone that they them self were not a sinner ? i don't think so, but i would say that they were not a slave to sin.

Aspen comes across to me as sounding something like a hippy type thing love love and only love ? but did not the Saints kick ass so to speak, as they were never mundane.

No offence aspen i do respect you, it's just that you push that line so much it wears a bit thin at times with me.

I understand. If my posts sound like hippy love, then I am not getting my point across. Hippy love was always self-love and the result of self love is hedonism, which is sinful and unsustainable. The reason the hippy movement fell apart is because it dissolved into hedonistic drug use and debauchery. Arrogance and hedonism are the fruit of the same tree.

I am talking about a completely different love, which is selfless. We were created to revel in this love! God must be the focus of it, not ourselves. Once we ask God to open our hearts to His love and actually experience it, we are compelled to love Him and others. There is nothing weak or sentimental about this love - it is more like a compulsion. In fact, I think Calvin describes it best as irresistible (although, I do not share his ideas about exclusive irresistibly - it is open to all)

There has never been a saint that was not a sinner at one time.
