You can blame the US for that. MAD has been abandoned for a while, but this was by the USA. The US military thinks they can win a nuclear war with Russia by decapitation no warning nuclear missile attacks. My feeling is the Russians wont take it lying down. And the US will also pay an equally heavy price.

Well I wouldn't worry too much about this missile. If it stays in the atmosphere at over 20,000 mph, it will burn up. If it is a ballistic missile, it can be destroyed when it reenter's the atmosphere.
After reading the first reports when the hypersonic Russian first missile was introduced ......I'm firmly committed in the belief that when the inventories of the warehoused Radio Shack stores are sold off, Russia will have no more missiles to work with.
We were working on a prototype generator protection relay. Our parts manager had run out of a specific sized diode for the printed circuit board. Couldn't help myself ....."There's always Radio Shack." Manufacturing Manager (goofy as I am) says "Don't laugh, we've done that in the past."
Yeah dont know about burning up though, they probably do get very hot at such speeds. What use for such a missile if it can not work as intended. The fact they are building and others are too means they must work. Speed so fast can also mean they are not in the air long enough to disintegrate from the heat.

20,000 MPH is enough to burn up any known metal. Even the shuttle entering the atmosphere at 17,000mph had to have special heat tiles. And the videos showed those tiles burning! Missiles will not have the same heat tiles as they would slow the missile.

Right now Ukraine has more tanks in operation than the Russians.
Russian tanks need five man crews......they are fielding three man crews.
All the problems with keeping their tanks fueled ......Generals making far more money selling gas on the black market as opposed to fueling tank columns ....Things get more dire as you read .....
According to the Air Force ......the new SU-57 has not been seen in the Ukraine war .....too few trained pilots and far too little flight time.
Far more F-35's with more training and flight time....we could rule the skies over Ukraine if we got involved. All of NATO Air Forces say the same thing .....the Mig's are light years behind the US technology and capability.
Russia boasts of a million man military ......yet they can field no more than 85,000 at the Ukraine Border.....Interesting isn't it?

So why hasn't Ukraine already won the war and why did Zelensky come to America to rob the Americans blind (with their approval)? Every time he opens his mouth, he gives Russia another excuse to destroy Ukraine. And Russia knows that this is a proxy war for Biden's America. So if Putin were smart he would target Joseph Biden and end this war. No need for hypersonic missiles.
Russia's Generals and Upper levels of the Government are corrupt to the core. Like most socialist and communist governments, they convinced Putin that his armed forces were much better equiped and ready to fight any foe for Mother Russia. They are learning you don't win a war with a few trained officers, very few trained senior non commisioned sergents and weapons that don't exist. The conscripts don't have the heart to fight nor the training needed to win ......they are being stopped by well armed farmers with pitchforks ....Most of their being stopped is because the tank columns have to stop and wait for gas.
The best Russia supposedly has to fight with? Has never been tested in battle and is not populated with well trained highly skilled troops to operate the system.....
The Ukranians are fighting a guerilla war. Seldom do they lie up toe to toe against tanks and heavy armor. Russia makes their best gains using artillery and rockets .......Russia is fighting a war they can't win as long as the population holds out while the US and Europe send them tools to fight with. You don't win a war using rockets and artillery if you can't take territory, then defend it while attacking the adjacent territory ....

INATO has over 130,000 troops on the borders of the eastern most members. We will see what become of it. But I do not trust Russian propaganda anymore than I trust I can lift an aircraft carrier with my bare hands.

US had a pain free takeover of Japan home islands after a couple of nukes and they surrendered. Zelenski says the recent 45 billion is not enough money the US taxpayer just gave him. I dont think this war will end unless Ukraine government is destroyed. Russia has to bring the devastation to western Ukraine all the way to Poland.
