Depends on your interpretation of the word "meek", as I'm sure God has no interest in wishy-washy lukewarm wimps.
"Meek" may simply mean "laid back" and staying detached from the mire of the world in order to be selected for the kingdom "up there"..

Great Drop, I am glad you think that sir, I did once as well, I hope you are as excited as I was when I first discovered this verse: Re 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Yes hell is emptied and everyone in it is judged Drop. Isn't that great news? How did they get out, via resurrection of course. Now that you realize hell is not the end of it, would you like to go through some evidence to see what hell is?

That is my feeling as well Byrd, of course that one not only lives forever, but never had a beginning. I don't understand it myself, how God's word refers to Jesus and the saints are given immortality, the only way I can rationalize it is to take this into consideration: (Isaiah 46:9, 10) . . .I am the Divine One and there is no other God, nor anyone like me; 10 the One telling from the beginning the finale. . .
The only obvious explanation is that Jehovah knows they will never sin.

Revelation is full of abstract symbology and metaphor and can be interpreted any number of ways, so to think hell is like a big airport where airliners full of human souls are lined up waitng for takeoff clearance is a theory that'll never fly.
It's just yet another satanic ruse by satan to make people think they'll be let out of hell, so don't fall for it..

When the Israelites began to adopt the pagan practice of burning children, Jehovah told them that such an abominable practice had never entered His heart. You do understand it is God who selects those who go to heaven Drop, correct? We don't. Remember the gift God gives is everlasting life, and He created the earth for humans. You may prefer heaven, which is fine, I personally prefer earth, as it was created as our home, and it is my home. I do hope you get your desire, but no doubt there will be extreme responsibility if you are chosen sir.

That is not very appropriate for us to say, since God's original purpose when he made the first human couple was for them to multiply, fill the earth and expand that garden where they were placed and which was given to them as a model (Gen. 1:28). .

But I'm pretty sure you said that because of the conditions humans live in after the fall. What about when these hostile conditions disappear, and humans achieve eternal life in a world where there is no evil and no bad people? (Rev. 21:3,4)

Yes the earth is our "spaceship" sailing through the void and it keeps our fleshy bodies alive with food and water etc, but when we die we become "as the angels" and go to a better place..

Not a new place on earth either but one that has no more pain or grief. A place of splendor and beauty. One in which all are like minded with God as our only focus.

Seems we spend our better part trying to get an education, have a career, and raise a family. Then we come to  here, with little input into the lives of others.

Sure we can read, putter around our quarters, on occasion feed a crowd, drop a word or two of wisdom and become redundant.

Even if to be absent in the body is not  immediate to be in the Lord, I'm ready for rest.

Yes, to me it is a comfort to know what that means, and moreso to understand what that means.

Yes Jesus referred to Lazarus as ASLEEP, then clarified, he was DEAD.
* Using the term SLEEP, in general conversation about a DEAD body, to me, simply MEANT a body resting and that BODY SHALL rise up, same as a body taking a nap has the expectation of rising up after a resting nap.

Biblical teaching Reveals:
* God is a God of the Living.
* All man-Kinds Body’s SHALL and MUST Die.
* Mans Body was Created from Dust of the Earth.
* God made and gave that Formed Body LIFE.
* Mans Body SHALL become VOID of LIFE.
