This is NOT a theory. If you've never been taught about God separating the old kingdom of Israel into two separate kingdoms, also called houses, then you will never properly understand later Bible prophecy, because you will not know to which 'house' God is pointing to. If you're not interested in Bible prophecy, then this study won't matter to you.

1. In 1 Kings 11, God was angry at king Solomon because he allowed his many foreign wives and concubines to bring their pagan idol worship in among Israel. So God said He would 'rend' (part) the kingdom. But He promised not to do it in Solomon's day, but in the days of Solomon's son Rehoboam.

2. In those days, Solomon had made Jeroboam of the tribe of Ephraim over the "house of Joseph" (put for the ten northern tribes of Israel). Solomon sought to kill Jeroboam because Jeroboam lifted his hand against Solomon. It was because God sent His prophet Ahijah to Jeroboam, and God made Jeroboam king over the northern ten tribes. Because of this, Solomon sought to kill Jeroboam, so Jeroboam fled to Egypt until Solomon died.

3. Then all Israel went to make Solomon's son Rehoboam king. Jeroboam had come back from Egypt and went with them. At that time the northern ten tribes asked Rehoboam to lighten the burden that his father Solomon had put upon them. Rehoboam said his little finger would be like the burden his father put upon them. So Israel (ten tribes) parted, and left Rehoboam, and made Jeroboam of the tribe of Ephraim their king in the northern lands. The tribe of Benjamin only was sided with Rehoboam king of Judah in the southern lands of Judea. Rehoboam, king of Judah at Jerusalem, assembled all his army in Judea, and sought to go north to the ten tribes and bring the 'whole' kingdom back again, but God told him this division was of Him. This latter section of events you will find written in 1 Kings 12.

4. What literally happened was God split old Israel into TWO SEPARATE KINGDOMS:

a. "house of Judah", also called the "kingdom of Judah". At the time of the split, this was made up only of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. Later the Levites in the north left the ten tribes and came down to Judea and joined with the "kingdom of Judah" under Rehoboam at Jerusalem. In later Bible prophecy, these are called "house of Judah", or just "Judah", or just "Jerusalem", or "kingdom of Judah".

b. "house of Israel", also called the "kingdom of Israel". These made up the MAJORITY of Israelites.

Tribe of
1. Ephraim
2. ... Manasseh
3. ... Gad
4. ... Dan
5. ... Zebulun
6. ... Naphtali
7. ... Simeon
8. ... Asher
9. ... Reuben
10. ... Issachar

God made Jeroboam of the tribe of Ephraim king over those ten tribes, that kingdom was then called 'Israel'. Other names later in it went by was the "house of Israel", the "kingdom of Israel", or just "Israel", or "house of Joseph", or just "Jospeh", or even just "Ephraim", or just "Samaria" because Samaria in the north became its capital city where Jeroboam sat as king. If you don't know about God doing this split, then you will not understand those title differences for the two kingdoms, and thus will not properly understand what later Bible prophecies are to whom. There are many Bible prophecies after this split that are specific to each 'house'.

Prior to this split of 1 Kings 11, that "house of Israel" label was also used for all 12 tribes of Israel when they were all together. It is sometimes used for after the future return and gathering of all 12 too. But during this time in this world, since the days of Rehoboam king of Judah, even to now, these two 'houses' are still separated. Study Ezekiel 37 if you want to know the prophecy for their future re-joining with Christ's future return.

c. Jeroboam, king of Israel (northern kingdom of ten tribes) tried to prevent the people from going down south to worship at Jerusalem, for fear of adding to Judah's kingdom. So Jeroboam made 2 golden calf idols for worship, and put them in the northern cities of Dan and the other in Bethel. He then made common priests of the people, which prevented the Levites among the ten tribes from doing their priestly duties. So the Levites left the ten tribes and went south and joined with the "house of Judah". Likewise those in the northern tribes also left Jeroboam, and went south and joined with the "house of Judah". (See 2 Chronicles 11 about this).

5. The two separate kingdoms then had war against each other.

6. The northern ten tribe "kingdom of Israel" still would not give up the calf idol worship that Jeroboam setup, even with its good kings. So God sent the kings of Assyria upon this northern "kingdom of Israel", and removed all the ten tribes north beyond Euphrates, to Assyria and the land of the Medes. The Jewish historian Josephus (100 A.D.) they were still scattered beyond Euphrates in his day. These would never return to the holy land, even to this day they are still scattered among the Gentiles.

God promised the children of Israel early on, in Deuteronomy 4 and 28, that if they rebelled against Him that He would scatter them among the Gentiles. That He did first with the "house of Israel", i.e., the "kingdom of Israel". Yet He still had a plan in doing that involving The Gospel. If you understand even a little of this, then you should study the Book of Hosea, because there God is speaking mainly about His scattering of the "house of Israel" (ten tribes), and how they would eventually wind up. Apostle Paul quoted from Hosea to Gentiles in Romans 9, and the Book of Hosea was written about and to the ten tribe "house of Israel" only. So what does that show you about the ten tribes being scattered among the Gentiles, and The Gospel of Jesus Christ being accepted by both? Thus this two houses matter is not just a dry history like one might think. It reveals a whole, whole lot of God's Truth to His servants, and it can even reveal why the world is at this stage it is in today, how His people wound up where they are today.

That was all true, and a good study of old things passed away, until Jesus Christ is come, and they did not receive Him as King of Israel.

Now, all them circumcised of Christ, are grafted into the green olive tree and house of Israel and Judah, which is the tabernacle of David being built again from scratch.

When He appears again on earth, He will continue grafting in and building the tabernacle of David from the nations on earth, as well as giving the land to Abraham, and making a national priesthood of His natural seed, for all the earth.

They will be both outwardly and inwardly circumcised priests to the King and Judge of all the earth.

For now, flesh means nothing to the risen God of Israel: He had only one holy nation on earth, which is His church and body.

All natural nations are nothing different from one another, and just a drop in the bucket pertaining to the flesh.

I am most interested in the current house of God Davy. After the appointed time of the nations, the period of apostasy and waiting of the King was now over. Jesus received his crown, the heavens were cleansed, and now under Christs leadership, God's people were being regathered. How great it is to see people from all nations streaming to it sir: Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of Jehovah`s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Isa 2:3 And many peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.
Isa 2:4 And he will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

What a privilege it is to be allowed to be among the people of God, in these latter part of the days. And what future blessings we can anticipate as well. HalleluJah.

The gathering of the Jews to form the nation state of Israel in the middle east is NOT the final gathering of the tribes of Israel when Lord Jesus Christ returns in our near future at the end of this world.

Ezekiel 37 made that fact obvious, that is, for those who have studied it. One of the reasons it made it obvious is because it mentions the future return of BOTH HOUSES, and not just the Jews of the "house of Judah" only.

Today: God's Word represents:

"house of Judah"
= the Jews in the nation state of Israel in the holy land which God promised He would always leave one tribe at Jerusalem per 1 Kings 11; AND Jews scattered everywhere (the Diaspora).

"house of Israel" = a majority of Israelites solely of the ten northern tribes of Israel scattered from their captivity in ancient Assyria and Cappadocia to Asia Minor and Europe, eventually becoming the Western Christian nations of history. These were not known as Jews. These lost their heritage as the larger part of old Israel. Their fate is what God's prophecies through His prophet Hosea are about. The Book of Hosea was written specifically about the ten lost tribes of the "house of Israel". Apostle Paul quoted to believing Roman Gentiles from Hosea applying The Gospel to Christ's Church in final of believing Israelite and Gentile. Thus The Gospel idea is hidden in the Book of Hosea about the ten tribe "house of Israel", for God would scatter them among the Gentiles for their rebellion, but there He would send The Gospel to both them and the Gentiles, and they would become Christ's Church in the West. Then from there, they would send ambassadors in Christ to other nations. It is type of example of Joseph's story but involving The Gospel of Jesus Christ and the lost ten tribes of Israel.

The Israel of God's gathering started on Pentecost of 33 CE Davy. We at this time believe they are fully gathered, but not yet sealed sir.

Would you like to look into the Scriptural identification of God's people Davy? The Bible does identify them beyond any doubt

You're late. I have already covered it in my posts above. So don't try to act like you have some 'secret knowledge', as if you have a private understanding in God's Word. What I have shown from Bible Scripture about the Biblical identity of the children of Israel (and spiritual Israel which is about the believing Gentile), is easy to READ directly from God's Holy Writ.

2 Peter 1:20
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

As a nation Israel does claim Jehovah as their God, you are correct, but narrow it further Davy. Since you are familiar with the term Spiritual Israel, then you should know, they are the Israel of God sir, they are the congregation of God. So go on to further identify them. You are already on the right track, as they come from every tribe, nation, people, and tongue.

You are wrong again, been listening to men's doctrine again I see.

Who did Lord Jesus PROMISE would sit upon 12 thrones judging over the 12 tribes of Israel in His future Kingdom? Are you going to try and say Gentiles in that?

It's obvious that you have failed to understand what God's concept of His election is about per His written Word.

The Gentile nations will have their elect kings too, but they will not be kings over the 12 tribes of Israel.

NO, you are not disagreeing with me; YOU DISAGREE WITH CHRIST JESUS!

And Jesus said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
KJV

Lord Jesus WAS NOT talking about any more thrones there than those 12 thrones for His 12 Apostles. ONLY... those 12 Apostles of His have already been PROMISED THOSE 12 THRONES TO RULE OVER THE 12 TRIBES OF ISRAEL IN HIS FUTURE KINGDOM.
