I believe it's MUCH more important to be kind to others than it is to perfectly understand the scriptures yet mistreat people. I confess; this is something with which I often struggle, especially when I'm driving. ROAD RAGE.jpg

Yes, telling the truth is a revolutionary act these days, as George Orwell foresaw. TELLING THE TRUTH IS A REVOLUTIONARY ACT.jpg

The Lord has brought me a very long way when it comes to driving. I USED to be a hurry up kind of driver so, I mostly beat the slower driver to the next red light  , Lol. Over the last 15 or so years, driving has become something all together different. If we keep (seemingly) getting a red light, be thankful that God might have just saved your life because of the person pulling out at the last minute...or if you sped through the red light, or a stale yellow...you could cause an accident or cause someone else to. So, He has certainly taught me patience when it comes to driving. I let the bozo's pass me by. I wish you well in this area, praise God!

Part of the problem is the belief in subjective truth. These people project their own belief in subjective truth upon others, inferring that truth is emotionally charged. It leads to these people calling the truth hateful, or racist, or sexist, or whatever convenient excuse they can come up with to ignore it. Those who believe in objective truth would say something like, it is what it is, take it or leave it.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around subjective truth.

It's ok to be a follower of Christ and to misunderstand some things. It's better, I believe, to be loving toward others and misunderstand some scripture than it is to understand it perfectly and yet mistreat others.

So long as the error is not concerning something essential, or in other words 'disputable matters.' (Romans 14) But then again someone like yourself who believes in universalism wouldn't agree there are damnable errors, so nothing would be essential.

That's not accurate. I believe in damnation, I simply dispute that God damns people FOREVER.

A good approach is to share your beliefs and allow others to believe what they want. We can present our beliefs and then leave it at that.

So do you believe the damned are saved or destroyed eventually?
People are damned for a period of time or an "age". After being refined they go to be with God. God doesn't destroy them; he fixes them. :) God is great. God is merciful. God is love. God is CAPABLE of fixing everybody - and he does!

The doctrine that God sends his creation to an eternity of suffering is a lie that undoubtedly originated with the father of the lie. Its purpose is to smear God and to encourage his children to flee from him.

This assumes human souls are like machines, with interchangeable parts, but is not functional unless whole. But from what I understand a soul is more like a starfish. There is no disposable part of the soul. To dispose of part of a soul would make two separate entities and the original would no longer exist. God has to fix people while they are alive and can change.

How long would ten thousand years feel when being tortured by demons in hell?

if this was true. Let us live it up and sin.. Why bother to suffer here on earth. when you can sin all you want and still make it to heaven

The Bible teaches that if there were another way to redeem man than through Jesus' death, than Jesus didn't have to die.

Much love!

Because one would risk being damned to Hell.

You have a profound misunderstanding of the nature of God and the purpose of the Lake of Fire.

God doesn't throw people out forever.

2 Samuel 14:4 We must all die; we are like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God will not take away life, and he devises means so that the banished one will not remain an outcast

Ephesians 1:10 As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.
