My faith came from God, when he birthed me in the Spirit...faith can only grow if we have received that “ Living Birth, which is God’s word.

God increases our faith as we grow in his Son..which is through the power that is at work in us..the Holy Spirit.

We MUST be Born Again to understand and grow in the living word of God.

We don't need to be "fruit inspectors" as if we are to "make happen" Jesus' words. Being a "fruit inspector" we put our eyes on judging others. Jesus taught, by their fruits you shall know them. We'll know. We do know. We don't have to be searching for evil fruit, it will show itself to us.

We just need to hold to the Biblical standards for teachers and leaders. And when that does not describe the person who claims this for themself, well, I think the indication is, their claim is false.

Much love!

More like, sadness for something that could be so good, and is used so poorly.

Much love!
Our difference lies in the fact that I don't take the flesh aspirations seriously. And you call that mockery. ;) Better to place importance where it is merited. All this self-importance is laughable. But you allow yourself to be offended. Maybe you never learned things like..humour, irony, self-effacement, and all the things that allow us to not take our own little worlds so seriously. There is a vast world that you know nothing of. The kingdom of God is only entered into by much seeking, asking and knocking. Those who think they already have it by being "born again" are NOT like Paul who sought to win Christ...even as an apostle with MUCH spiritual experience.

Amen!!....but you must be Born Again......to be able to do that, as it’s then that God recognises you as his own....we start to grow through the power of the Holy Spirit who resides in our spirit.....get it?

Throwing insults to each other as a few have done on this thread.including me...well, that’s not MATURITY in Christ is it?

Then another who is talking about immature baby believers....they need to look at some of their posts....Pot ,Kettle..Black....LOL.....double standards...LOL.

So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

You are witnessing first hand what the truth does to the religious ego. The egos will try to shut down the message by personal attacks, false accusations and the like...since their own logic is shown for what it is...a carnal religious scheme that has no power over sin.

But I leave that up to you to see that...or not. :)

There are not many readers of the bible here..otherwise the word ZION would be very familiar. It is only mentioned about 153 times in the OT...not counting the NT.

But one would have to actually READ the bible to see that. ;)
At my age, only my bowel movements concerns me :) .

You just keep digging . . . showing however low you are willing to go. I've seen you repeat this pattern over and over with myself and others.

Out of the abundance of heart the mouth speaks. I urge you to hear the words of your mouth, and consider the heart from which they spring, and seek something better. He who seeks, finds.

Much love!

He's just mocking you like he does most everyone else. I've been reading through the thread again, post after post after post of the same mocking. I've come to think he's got a pathological need to put others down. Post a provocative thread, then keep it stirred up to keep that emotional charge coming.

Much love!
narcissism comes to mind.

You are confused if you think that the Book of Mormon is not the author of the concept of IT's concept "Zion" and the theology that He's teaching as his "higher walk in ZION", that he's posted over and over and over.

Its not a conspiracy theory, its a fact regarding the Book of Mormon.

""""" The word "Zion" appears 53 times in the Book of Mormon, a key part of the Latter Day Saint canon, and 268 times in the LDS Church's version of the Doctrine and Covenants, a part of its canon consisting of what members believe to be modern-day revelation and written down by Smith mostly in the 19th century.
-
Why do Mormons go to Zion?

In latter-day revelation, Zion is defined as “the pure in heart” (Doctrine and Covenants 97:21). In the early days of this dispensation, Church leaders counseled members to build up Zion by emigrating to a central location. Today our leaders counsel us to build up Zion wherever we live.""""
I believe it is paraphrase of of an OT verse nothing to do with mormonism.

Atonement, noun;
reparation for a wrong or injury. (payment)
*in religious contexts* reparation or expiation for sin.

As believers of his word it is
the reconciliation of God and humankind through Jesus Christ, who is our benefactor, for the sin debt we owed that separated us from a holy God. Something we could not do, which Christ did in our stead.

Forgiveness;
The definition of forgiveness is essentially the act of pardoning an offender, not requiring payment for the wrong. In the Bible, the Greek word translated “forgiveness” literally means “to let go”, as when a person does not demand payment for a debt. This also we are to do to our brethren, our enemies and any who may wrong us !

Jesus is the atonement for our forgiveness of sin, by his reparation payment of his sinless life, he alone was able to make such an offering before the Father. The wages of sin, which is death, will be required of all if we die in unbelief.

The act of atonement was and is offered in forgiveness to all who will believe!

Online Summary.

Our response in salvation is faith, but even that is “not of [ourselves], it is the gift of God.” Faith is nothing that we do in our own power or by our own resources. In the first place, we do not have adequate power or resources. Moreover, God would not want us to rely on them even if we had them. Otherwise salvation would be in part by our own works, and we would have some ground to boast in ourselves. Paul’s emphasis in Ephesians 2:8 is that even faith does not come from us apart from God’s giving it. Human effort has nothing to do with it (cf.Romans 3:20; Galatians 2:16), and thus no one should boast, as if he contributed any part.

Spiritually dead, we were helpless until God intervened to quicken us: “Even when we were dead in our transgressions, [God] made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)” (Ephesians 2:5). Faith is an integral part of the gift His grace bestowed on us.

Scripture consistently teaches that faith is not conjured up by the human will but is a sovereignly granted gift of God. Jesus said, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” (John 6:44). And “No one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father” (John 6:65). Acts 3:16 speaks of “the faith which comes through Him.” Philippians 1:29 says, “To you it has been granted for Christ’s sake . . . to believe in Him.” And Peter wrote to fellow believers as “those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours” (2 Peter 1:1).

How do we know that faith is God’s gift? Left to ourselves, no one would ever believe: “There is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God” (Romans 3:11). “So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy” (Romans 9:16). God draws the sinner to Christ and gives the ability to believe. Without that divinely generated faith, one cannot understand and approach the Savior. “A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised” (1 Corinthians 2:14). That is precisely why when Peter affirmed his faith in Christ as the Son of God, Jesus told him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 16:17). Faith is graciously given to believers by God himself.

As a divine gift, faith is neither transient nor impotent. It has an abiding quality that guarantees that it will endure to the end. The familiar words of Habakkuk 2:4, “The righteous will live by his faith” (cf. Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38), speak not of a momentary act of believing, but of a living, enduring trust in God. Hebrews 3:14 emphasizes the permanence of genuine faith. Its very durability is proof of its reality: “We have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end.” The faith God gives can never evaporate. And the work of salvation cannot ultimately be thwarted (cf. John 10:27–29). In Philippians 1:6 Paul wrote, “I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus” (cf. 1 Corinthians 1:8; Colossians 1:22–23).

For those reasons, saving faith is nothing like the fickleness of wavering human belief. It is as enduring and unchanging as the God who grants it.
