Is Prayer a work?
Is Worship a work?
Is Love a work? (Messiah added it to the ten commandments)
Is daily study of scriptures?

Works are considered helping people to show love for them. Also being a disciple and in the service of God is a work. Many things are works, having faith might be considered a work. What we do is probably a work. We think, feel and move our bodies, and these all require energy to work.
