I would have to think on that.
There is the 7 year time period of the great tribulation.
Split at 3.5 years, the mid point begins the serious persecution by antichrist against the saints.
Time, times, half a time is 3.5 years, which is for 42 months
12 x 3 = 36, then 36 +6 = 42 months

Note this time period is first prophesied in Daniel 7, then again in Rev 13
These scriptures describe the same exact thing. Even the TEN KINGS.

21 “I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.

23 “Thus he said:

‘The fourth beast shall be
A fourth kingdom on earth,
Which shall be different from all other kingdoms,

Well along into the bowl judgements, we read this, which tells us God's people are still on the earth.
And Christ says this to His people right before the gathering to Armageddon
And we also know that by 1 Thess 4. We who remain alive, are caught up into the clouds as Christ returns.
The bowl judgement are being poured out on the people of the beast, the beast's kingdom.

Sixth Bowl: Euphrates Dried Up​

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings [g]of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The GT certainly is a time like no other, the most devastation, suffering and death ever experienced on a global scale. Over half the population will die during g a short period of time. My point earlier was that people individually in smaller numbers have suffered and died with as much pain, devastation and death, ( which is great tribulation to them).Getting your head chopped off, being burned alive or a deadly virus killing you within days is as bad as it gets. Hundred pound hails stones will fall, but so has a mountainside collapsed on a car and family driving along the road.
As to your question; we will know itnis the GT when we have seen 1/4 of the population die within the first couple years.
So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. Rev.6:8
So, we see an average of 60-68 million deaths per year in the e tire world now. When you start seeing ten times that amount, then you will know.

Well, maybe you should visit southern Sudan and try to convince the Christians there that they will not suffer tribulation. They are getting their heads cut off. Mankind has suffered tribulation since the beginning.

Some of those things are annoyances…but becomes a tribulation when one has the “power” (sneakily, or employer power or government power, body size power, etc.) to follow through on the act.

Whereas…God…supreme power…is an entirely different Source…and in the end of days as we know them….
(The DIVIDING and SEPARATING) those with and without the Lord God….YES…
By, through, of SPIRITUAL POWER God has already revealed IS authorized and shall commence.

The Great Tribulation refers to the period of time when Satan and his fallen angels are here on earth before the Second Coming of the King of kings.
Matthew 24:21-22 (KJV) 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

And required massive commander oversite and direction, large numbers of officers needed.

How does God's sovereignty fit into that scenario?

So the war of one nation or many nations against another is caused by man? Which implies man is totally responsible? It appears so on the surface.
Yet God sent every empire in the Old Testament to war against the Israelites, kill them, enslave them - to punish them.
God at this moment is gathering nations to war against Israel - for a purpose. Then Jesus will come and destroy those nations. You did not really know how to respond to Isaiah 45:7, so you brushed it aside as general knowledge. This is an example of God's sovereignty.
In Job, we see that Satan cannot do anything unless he has God's permission, even now. Chew on that for awhile. God influences man to do His will and allows Satan to do his as well.
Jesus told the Disciples that in 40 years, Rome would destroy Jerusalem down to the displacement of every stone in the Temple. So do you think the Romans/Titus caused that or God? Well on the surface, it appears man does it, influenced by Satan. But Satan was given permission to do it. Apply Isaiah 45:7 and God is punishing them for not believing in Christ. God replaced the Temple and made it obsolete. SonHe destroyed the Temple _ gaythered the Romans to do it. We became the New Temple of God starting at Pentecost. But that was a great tribulation for the Jews, don't you think? A million Jews were killed and displaced for almost 19 centuries then brought back.
Luke 21:24 describes their displacement. Jer.16:15 and Ezek.37:21 describes them being brought back.
Zech. 12:3 is happening right now.
Daniel 7:25; 8:23-24; 11:36; 12:1; Isaiah 1:28; and Isaiah 13:9-13 is about to happen soon.
Zech 14:2-4 foretells these times right now, starting with the gathering of Islamic nations against Israel (but not only them, all nations seem to be against them now)
For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.

But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

So, He gathers nations against Israel to punish them, converts and saves a remnant ( Rom. 11, Rev. 7 & 14), then destroys those nations for cooperating with Satan's influence.
It sounds conflicting doesn't it; but there it is, Isaiah 45:7 - all throughout history, the balance of good and evil was for our education, cooperation and ultimately for many, salvation.
And so now the world must take sides, to be for Jesus or against Him.
It was all in His plan, from the beginning to the end. Otherwise prophesy could not be fulfilled precisely as He claimed it would. The events in Rev. 6 are beginning to happen and from there, events to Rev.
22 will be fulfilled as foretold.

True, it is greatest time of distress and death.
There are many views and each one seems to cling to their particular scriptures that validate their view, but only one is true.
The "Two Witnesses" to the Jews in Rev.11 I think answers that mystery.
The ten nations who war against Israel ( as we can see Iran , Lebanon, Yemen, and more will join in, will eventually pentetrate the city, defeat them, hence the "Gentiles trample over the city for 42 months". Anyways, while this is happening, the Two Witnesses show up _ for that duration of time and witness to the Jews about Jesus. Here is the thing, if the Pre-Trib view is correct and we are taken out before this happens - why would God need two witnesses, when everyone would know what happenned to the Christians. Our story that we have been trying to tell everyone for generations would be confirmed. Thousands of books written about this event that actually happens and a dozen movies brings light to them. Everyone would realize their error at that time - don't you think?That is a flaw. There would be no need for witnesses, because when Jesus shows up, we are raptured and the world sees Him, AT THE END OF THAT 1260 DAYS. THEN the wrath comes. But hey, I could be wrong ... many views about this.

what if i told you that GOD has always been in control and what he allows he simply allows .
Do you realize that in the bible i have read about where very few overame the many in battle .

True, it is greatest time of distress and death.
There are many views and each one seems to cling to their particular scriptures that validate their view, but only one is true.
The "Two Witnesses" to the Jews in Rev.11 I think answers that mystery.
The ten nations who war against Israel ( as we can see Iran , Lebanon, Yemen, and more will join in, will eventually pentetrate the city, defeat them, hence the "Gentiles trample over the city for 42 months". Anyways, while this is happening, the Two Witnesses show up _ for that duration of time and witness to the Jews about Jesus. Here is the thing, if the Pre-Trib view is correct and we are taken out before this happens - why would God need two witnesses, when everyone would know what happenned to the Christians. Our story that we have been trying to tell everyone for generations would be confirmed. Thousands of books written about this event that actually happens and a dozen movies brings light to them. Everyone would realize their error at that time - don't you think?That is a flaw. There would be no need for witnesses, because when Jesus shows up, we are raptured and the world sees Him, AT THE END OF THAT 1260 DAYS. THEN the wrath comes. But hey, I could be wrong ... many views about this.

Rather odd i seem to notice something in revelation . the wrath of the beast coming against the saints .
YET the wrath of GOD cometh against THE BEAST and all who took its mark and loved a lie .
I would not get too cozy in mens doctrines my friend .
Those who act as though we wont see blood and sufferings . YA better watch out .
JESUS warned HIS own they would . paul and others warned the church of tribulations
