We lease the Super Scoopers from Canada for wildfire seasons.

One of the Scoopers was damaged a few days ago by a civilian drone. It is being repaired.

The FBI is searching for the drone owner. Felony crime.

Seems to me all they need is about 40 or so of those planes running nonstop for a couple days and a lot of those homes would not have burned. Got to be cheaper than all the rebuilding and bad will generated so far. Yet the current gives hundreds of millions to lost causes every year.

Today I caught a bit of news reporting on the drone. Apparently investigators somehow traced it to the community where actor Ben Afleck lives.

That would be a Monday daymare wouldn't it?
Your child is learning how to operate the drone you got them for their birthday when suddenly something goes terribly wrong.

No further reporting followed with regard to Mr.Afleck.

They also showed a wide lens arial view of the devastated areas. It looks like a war zone.

Prayers go out to everyone who have suffered this devastating loss of lives and properties.

There was a brief story regarding an architect who had constructed his own home to be fireproof.

Sure enough in the midst of rubble in his neighbor's surroundshis home was the only one left standing.

The California fire season seem to be reported every year. Reconstructing homes to be fireproof would seem like a next best step.

In the strong winds we normally don't have, all of the aircraft fighting fires were grounded.

A new fire broke out in Ventura county, just North of Los Angeles. They are working to get it out as stronger winds are coming in a couple of hours. Thankfully we had a lull in the winds for a few days.
