They would do well to enlist the aid and support of some of the other Arab nations around them, including the non-crazy component of the Palestinian government outside of Gaza.

The Israeli military has ordered Palestinians in Gaza's major southern city of Khan Younis to "evacuate immediately" in the face of an "unprecedented" new offensive from Israel.
The Context
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said over the weekend that it had begun "extensive ground operations" in the north and south of the Gaza Strip, dubbed "Operation Gideon's Chariots."The IDF said the country's air force had carried out "a preliminary wave of strikes" on more than 670 targets described as belonging to Hamas, a Palestinian militant organization, in the previous week.
Hamas launched attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, killing more than 1,200 people. Another 251 people were taken as hostages into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
Israel then began an intensive aerial and ground campaign against Hamas in the densely populated area, vowing to dismantle the group's infrastructure and command chain and return the hostages.
The war has devastated the territory, displacing the strip's almost 2 million inhabitants several times and killing more than 53,000 people, according to Hamas-run authorities. This number does not differentiate between combatants and civilians.

This is well done. Few people I've ever met bother to figure out the modern vs ancient geography.
Question of the day: Samson (an Israelite) met Delilah (a Philistine) in Timnah - a city that belonged to neither Israel nor Philistia. How? Why? What?
For me a very interesting thing is that these locations are where the terrorists launch their attacks against Israel. I see in this a full scale proxy war, after which Israel annexes all these lands, and rids the terrorists.
I'm thinking they may feel safer after that, more at peace with these proxies all gone, maybe Persia's nuke program taken out at the same time? I mean Iran's . . . of course, they may retaliate with a massive ground invasion . . .

My interest is mostly in the past. I love the historical aspect of the Old Testament.
Iran/Persia has an amazing past as well, and was the jewel of the Middle East as recently as the 1960's. Too bad they fell into Islamic fundamentalism.
