The site only lists 6. Looks like a false claim to say there are 30-41k

You can lead a horse to water…..LOL
1. This is not the only site to look this up on. I have personally counted 30,000 and some say over 50,000. Now I have found some that were near duplicates with some differences in their names registered or not.

2. This site does note six primary Protestant denominations. But since you apparently did not notice I will copy and paste from that website……There are many other Protestant denominations and sects, each with unique beliefs, practices, and organizational structures. The number of denominations can vary depending on how one defines and categorizes different groups, but there are estimated to be around 41,000 Protestant denominations worldwide.

3. And here is a more detailed site…..

When Christ returns, all the saved dead will resurrect as immortals and come with him. There are no immortal, resurrected people here so Jesus did not return in the first century.
Seems silly to take this one flimsy argument against all the strong arguments that tells us he did accomplish everything in 70AD. You have to ignore a lot of stuff to stick with this. You also have to support the strange notion that the resurrection refers to people walking around earth in the same bodies they died in.

When you start talking with full preterists, they will tell you we are living in the new heaven and earth today, and that all of Revelation has occurred. They tie all of this to Jerusalem's destruction in 70 AD
Not quite. We don't live in the new heaven and the new earth because the new heaven and earth refers to Jesus Christ. He lives in us.

The claim there is over 30k Protestant denominations is false. When asked, you failed to provide anything close to 30k.
LIst 30.000 on the form? LOL

John 5:24-25

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

When Jesus said the hour "now is", was he talking about a time 2000 years in the future? Did Jesus not know what he was saying?

Too bad that never happened back in 70 ad

Can we please stop ignoring the fact that Paul spoke of a spiritual death and resurrection? The proof is right there, in front of our eyes. All we have to do is read it.

Galatians 2:19

19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

Romans 6 makes it clear that we were crucified with him, which means we died. And further tells us that we have been brought from death to life in Christ. That is literally the definition of resurrection. Dying, then coming to life.

Romans 6:4

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

Romans 6:6

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

Paul said we were crucified with Christ. Really? Was Paul drunk? Or did he actually know what he was talking about?

Let's get back to the fact that the resurrection of all the saved dead in history happens at the second coming and that did not happen in the first century. That is clear evidence that the second coming hasn't happened.

This is speaking of people spiritually living at that time, but also a time that is coming when it would be literal. The dead have not literally risen, so that part is yet to occur. Partial Preterism is false. Full Preterism is heresy.

The spiritually dead heard God and lived when Jesus preached the word of God to them

John 6
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.”

John 6
60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a [m]hard saying; who can understand it?”

61 When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples [n]complained about this, He said to them, “Does this [o]offend you? 62 What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

66 From that time many of His disciples went [p]back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”

I am sorry but what you describe is not the resurrection!

The resurrection happens ON THE LAST DAY, to believe as you do you do not believe in the final judgment also, that there is an appointed DAY of Judgment, because I suppose to you there is nothing left to happen in the future.
  1. John 6:39
This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

  2. John 6:40
And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

  3. John 6:44
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

  4. John 6:54
Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

  5. John 11:24
Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

  6. John 12:48
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him— the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

Yes another good example of someone who posts the resurrection is past.
And yet even with all the scriptures contrary to what they say, will they repent and change their minds?

Acts 17
30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, “We will hear you again on this matter.

Ok. So what's the best biblical argument against preterism?

The best... argument 'against' men's doctrine of Preterism is study the whole Bible, and not just The New Testament Books. And I do mean 'study', and not just pass the magic wand over a very short coverage of The Old Testament and call it having covered The Old Testament, which is what Preterist Sunday schools do for children in those kind of Churches. I know, for I was raised in a Preterist type mainstream Church.

The word Preterism is derived from the word 'preter', which means 'what is past'. And that is what men's Preterist seminary doctrine believes, that The Old Testament Books are past history, and even that the Book of Revelation is past history, except for Christ's future 2nd coming. They still believe in Christ's 2nd coming of the future.

That is why most Preterist churches do not preach much end time Bible prophecy. Good works and staying in the Faith instead is mostly stressed.

Today, more than ever in Christian history, it is important to stay in God's Word as written, and let the chips fall where they may. That is the ONLY way to know if a church is actually preaching The Word of God or not. And just preaching one part of God's Word properly while sliding in some doctrines of men is not... the idea of staying in God's Word.

So the believer going into a church especially today not already having studied all of God's Word to know what God says, is at a great disadvantage; that because 5 out of 7 churches will be pushing doctrines of men along with The Gospel Message. That is the number Lord Jesus showed us in Revelation 2 and 3 of the percentage of churches that had false doctrines in them, five out of seven. Only two churches were staying in His Word.

Many brethren cannot believe Christ would allow deceptions to happen in the churches. But that only shows how little they have studied what God's Word reveals. If one decides to listen to men instead of God in His Word, then God will allow that person to be deceived. He is our Heavenly Father, and His feelings can be hurt just like an earthly father who has a child that refuses to listen to their father's advice and direction.

What kind of things can cause a believer to put too much trust in a particular church or preacher instead of verifying everything by study in God's Word with His help? A deceived preacher can fulfill all the 'outward' requirements of appearing righteous and caring, educated, and helpful, etc. They may even speak eloquently, and able to break ideas and concepts down to layman terms, i.e., have a gift for teaching. What most often is not considered by the believer though is that preachers in the mainstream church organizations most often must 'tow-the-line' with that organization's denominational teachings, regardless whether they can be found written in God's Word or not. These facts become obvious to the believer who finally gets down to disciplined Bible study for themselves, asking God's help by The Holy Spirit.

You are only 'using'... those Scriptures in a way to try and fit a doctrine of men, while rejecting the greater... number of Bible Scriptures that reveal many future events that are prophesied to only happen with Christ's future literal physical return back to this earth. I mean, one of the most HUGE events of Bible prophecy to prove Christ has returned is His gathering of His faithful saints to Himself and His beginning reign with them over ALL nations and peoples on earth. Anyone trying to say that has already happened merely reveal to Christ's faithful how close to the funny farm they are.
