A trick I got from YouTube that I'm doing to prevent overeating is making some hot tea when I have a craving. It's really effective but I'm sensing I'll be drinking plenty of tea in the future.
For me, bacon is the new chocolate. lol
Often times, people mistake cravings for salty things as a craving for something sweet.

I will never give up until I reach my goal.

I'm almost back to the weight I got to before traveling out of town for a few days.

It's been difficult to focus and stay on track completely. But I am determined to keep to my eating windows and ignore cravings.

I've been eating at 11am and 4pm. That has been giving me success with a weight loss of about a lb a day.

What kind of cravings do you struggle with?

Sugar. On the road on a trip out of town, we just had regular fast food. The sugar cravings came back strong. I also crave carbs like noodles of all kinds.

Have you looked into the ways to continue with carnivore, or at least high protein/high fat keto while on the road?

Chipotle, Wendy's, and lots of burger places will do just plain burger patties fried in tallow. Take cheese sticks, pork rinds, Zevia drinks, bottled water ...even cook up a large batch of bacon and take that in a cooler ...boiled eggs, cheese, pork rinds... that's what I usually do. No need to even stop at a restaurant.

But my trips are usually day trips... 3 to 5 hours each direction. If I need to eat out, I can do meat ...just steak, and eggs.

The sugar cravings should fade away the longer you go without sugar. I did keto for about 6 years, and then went carnivore. I decided to have a 1 inch by 1 inch square of my grandson's 1st birthday cake. Well, firstly, it was sooooo sweet! And second, I had physical bad reactions for a couple days after. Me and 99% of plants don't get along for 3 years now. I do use garlic powder and paprika, Redmond's salt... monk fruit, stevia, etc in my drinks ... that's it as far as non-animal products.

I love both keto and carnivore. Being on keto makes sense as a lifestyle to me ---not eating processed foods, seed oils, and sugar.

This is a thread where I'll be posting about my progress with fitness, health, and beauty. Ladies, feel free to add advice and inspiration.

I want to improve on these things because

1. My husband was gracious and comforted me when I was much more overweight. I want to be in shape because he doesn't require that to love me.

2. I want to be an example to my children and bond with them over something besides shopping or eating.

3. Personal confidence.

My goal is to get at or below 162 lbs because that would give me a healthy BMI.

I'm currently at 202 and was blessed to have come down from 223 quickly after giving birth.

I also would like to be able to do 100 pushups, headstands, and handstands

I also started making changes after realizing I wanted to feel stronger and more confident, not just look different. One thing that really helped me was finding a no-fluff breakdown of fitness apps and plans on madmuscles-review.com . It gave me clarity on what actually works for real people (not just influencers). The reviews there aren’t sugar-coated, which I appreciated. Just thought I’d mention it in case you're looking for something to guide you while staying focused on your deeper goals. You got this!
Your goals are inspiring and your reasons are full of love and strength.
It’s amazing how you’re turning gratitude and personal growth into motivation.
Wishing you continued progress you’ve already come so far

I am very frustrated at being stuck at 195 lbs for over a month now. I am planning to change things up by adding some walks to my routine.

I believe I can reach my goal. Others may not believe it with confidence because they haven't seen it. But I have to believe it. I have the tools and the drive. I just have to focus and execute.

Yesterday, I ate way too many carbs and junk food. Today I am focusing on increasing protein to be full.

I still did not hit my calorie target but I will work on that tomorrow.

@Wynona have you considered incorporating OMAD (1 meal/day, or intermittent fasting) into your plan? Or ....2MAD (2 meals a day), or eating within a 6-hr window?

I do best on OMAD with an occasional 36-hr fast. I am not a volume eater. And I do best if I eat around 2 or 3pm in a 1 to 2 hr window. (I am also a slow eater.)

My husband suggested a 36 hour fast today!

I would definitely consider intermittent fasting again. For me it simplifies things. I guess I just see three meals a day as the default but Ive loved IF in the past. If I do it again, Ill mention it.

Are you getting enough electrolytes?

I'd love to have a place I could walk, but I do have a yard to mow and animals to take care of. Eventually, I may get a walking pad (treadmill). But that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. My push mower and moving chickens will have to be my workout. lol
