Man. It's a surreal feeling even just typing those words. I've been a fan of Black Sabbath and Ozzy for so many years. It's crazy that he died just weeks after his final show.

Rest in peace, Ozzy. I hope you're with Randy again. weepy

Ozzy was no saint, but none of us are. We should hope that wherever he is now, he is at peace.
You can't live your life anyway you want to and expect peace, because now Oz is very aware of a day of Judgement he will have to stand in front of God for. Yes, I once was lost but now I'm found, blind but now I see. I'm a sinner saved by the Grace of God, through Jesus Christ.

Ozzy and his wife Sharon as seen in their show "The Ozbornes" were a great example of why you should not do recreational drugs and alcohol.

Their kids were all train wrecks. They, themselves, could not parent them and the children were miserable. NOBODY could handle any of life's challenges, even minor ones, with any sort of maturity or grace. But they also were facing major challenges as well.

Ozzy was a talented musician. Even though he couldn't say two words together coherently in his elder years, he could still play and think he could sing.

If only he had something more substantial to offer the world.

This is an obituary thread.

Please show some grace and stop judging a man you didn't know.

There should be a rule against trashing the dead in an obituary thread.

God rest his soul. And comfort Sharon and his three children in their grief.

I had friends and family who passed from Parkinsons Disease. It's a horrible disease I wouldn't wish on anyone.

And it is utterly devastating for those attending loved ones in Hospice.

Rest in peace Ozzy.

Interesting lyrics to his song "After Forever".

With his lifestyle I doubt it. I was a fan in my early years when they released their first album. But after being saved, by the Grace of God, I gave up world music.
Some 'world' music is not evil.

i do agree with you on Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and other rauccous ungodly lyrics

Interesting lyrics to his song "After Forever".
Many of the rock legends sing songs of heaven and the afterlife.

But it will not open Heavens Door for them

Such as: "Knock, knock, knocking on Heaven's Door" - Bob Dylan

Some may make it in as there may be some near death conversions being Granted by God

I hope to see him playing in Heaven!

I was trying to find some evidence that Ozzy had trusted in Christ.
This is a fairly recent interview where He talks about what He believes.
And what i could not help but notice is that there is no Jesus in his statement.
He does have the false idea that being "Christened" is to become a Christian.......so, as he does not go more into it.. this does not allow for any clarity in his explanation.

Now, God's Grace is amazing, so, if OZZY reached out with faith in Christ, during His last breath....then God knew it and washed Him in the Blood of Jesus.

Here is the interview..
-
"I believe in God. I don't go to church, but I don't think you have to ... go to church to believe in God," he said.
Osbourne said, "I'm a Christian. I was christened as a Christian.
I used to go to Sunday school. I never took much interest in it because … I didn't."

Regarding the idea of Heaven, he said, "My idea of Heaven is feeling good. A place where people are alright to each other. ""

That does not sound like a testimony unto salvation

Right now, only God knows - later we will know for certain
