[Matthew 16:21-23 KJV] 21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Many say that Peter and the twelve preached the one and only gospel.

Paul preached the death and resurrection of Christ for salvation.

[1Corinthians 15:1, 3-4 KJV] 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; ... 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

What was Peter's response when Jesus spoke of his death and resurrection? Peter rebuked the Lord saying this would not happen.

How could Peter preach the death and resurrection for salvation and at the same time deny it?

Peter eventually preached "Paul's Gospel"
It was years after "Pentecost".

For example......im Acts 2:38, you find Peter preaching "repent and be baptized"....

See that?
That is not Paul's Gospel.
What that is.......is the message that John The Baptist told the Jews, even before Jesus showed up.
The reason that Peter preached that message is because He didnt know Paul's Gospel at that time.
Later He did.... and Later Peter said that Paul's Letters, that Peter had in his hand, were "SCRIPTURE", and that is true, as Paul's Letters eventually became most of the NT Epistles.

Jesus corrected him when he said it. Isn't that a given???

Peter was a simple fisherman and was likely completely unaware of the larger picture and ultimately Gods plan to bring and make availability salvation to the entire world. It is doubtful he had read Enoch’s ten week prophecy, or any of the others. So he expected the arrival of the Messiah and for the Messiah to stay. It’s pretty simple in hindsight.

There is not a Paul’s Gospel, all the disciples were in accord with Paul. Jonah, and Peter both witness to Paul’s teachings to the non-believing gentile/heathens. It’s always been about faith with which all will be saved, from Abel to Enoch, Noah, and Nineveh through the Second Coming of the Lord. Faith and Obedience, Faith and Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ who is God in the flesh.

Peter never preached Paul's gospel........................[1Pe 2:24-25 KJV] 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls........................he preached the cross for forgiveness of sins only for believing Israel

Not the SAME TIME.

Disciples are followers, learning, students.
Apostles are the Learned, prepared, to teach, preach.

Glory to God,
Taken
Peter preached the gospel of the kingdom..............the promised prophetic kingdom on earth in which believing Israel will reign with Christ a thousand years
The twelve did not understand anything he told them about his death and resurrection until after his resurrection so how could they preach his death and resurrection for our salvation in the four gospels

[Mar 9:31-32 KJV] 31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day. 32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

That doesnt change the fact that they didnt understand his death and resurrection until he was risen

Peter preached the gospel of the kingdom..............

Before Jesus’ death… Disciples were announcing to other Jews….The Jewish Messiah had arrived.

After Jesus’ Death and Resurrection the Disciples / Apostles were Teaching / Preaching … Jesus IS the Christ Messiah.

Scribes we’re taking notes, writing what the Apostles were Preaching.

Thereafter, men were copying the Scribes notes to Scrolls.

Timeline seems to have you confused.

Yes, you are right. Peter even denied knowing Him 3 times. The only person that seemed to know the truth was the thief on the cross! And pastors everywhere use the thief as an example against baptism. That thief had already become a believer and thus baptized and grasped more of what Jesus meant by just listening to Jesus preach than the disciples grasped in 3 years! It wasn't until after the resurrection for those 40 days that Peter learned the truth of why Jesus came, and that He would be coming back again.

Isn't it amazing what the baptism of the Holy Spirit can do in a person like Peter.

Actually Peter didnt begin to fully understand the Cross of Christ until 10 yrs after Jesus was back in Heaven.
IN Acts 10, God had to give Peter the revelation that Gentiles could be saved, as Peter didnt understand this in Acts 2.
A decade after Jesus was back in Heaven, Peter was finally catching up.

Peter preached Paul's Gospel after Acts 15, as He met Paul.
You would have to give me your scripture for this

There is nothing about Peter after Acts 15

In Acts 15, the "gentile issue" is debated and discussed.
So thats Paul's specific Ministry as He is the designated "Apostle to the Gentiles".
Peter was there, so, He would have already known about it after Acts 10's Revelation..., but Paul would have explained it fully, as this ministry and the Gospel that is specific to the "time of the Gentiles" was Paul's Ministry and Paul's Gospel.

Peter in Acts 15 doesnt preach Paul's gospel

The point is..,. that once they met in Acts 15, everything was clarified.
So, Peter knew Paul's Gospel, because Peter had Paul's letters and called them "Scripture".

How do we know that Peter was preaching Paul's Gospel after Acts 15?. ??
Its because in 1 Peter, ........Peter wrote this..

5: """"Who are kept by the Power of God, unto Salvation". """"

See that ?
That is Paul's Gospel.........from 1 Corin 1:18
Peter is repeating it in His own LETTER....., as Paul said that the preaching of the Cross is the """'Power of God unto Salvaiton"..
