So you know the difference between Jesus as a divine being and who is God in the unique sense.
Whatever that means, I have no clue
No first-century Christian would mistake Jesus for God.

Not too sure about that

Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son (Jesus) he (God) saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Heb. 5:7 During his life on earth, Christ offered up supplications and also petitions, with strong outcries and tears, to the One who was able to save him out of death, and he was favorably heard for his godly fear. 8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. 9 And after he had been made perfect, he became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those obeying him, 10 because he has been designated by God a high priest in the manner of Melchizedek.

All understood Jesus to be the Son not God Himself
Did I say the contrary? I believe the same as you about that.
Maybe you misunderstood, but if you read all my posts, you'll know my position on that matter.

John 1:2 This one was in the beginning with God.
(...) 14 So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of divine favor and truth.
(...) 18 No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him.

Who is this unrelated post to, ELIE? Yes Jesus was begotten. Is there a question here somewhere?

Ask yourself according to what you read in the Scriptures:
Did Jesus consider Jehovah as his God, or not?

I write here for all readers, although I got some on my ignored list. Those don't deserve a minute of my time.

Ellie might know something you don't :IDK:
I told you NO more pearls YESTERDAY. Yet you persist as usual. Do not post to me. You will only be ignored.
The only reason I talk with Jws is they don't deny Jesus had a pre-existence like you do.
That lie puts you in a category beyond even a Jw..

I know the things Jesus taught his followers.

After his resurrection, he said to his disciples:

John 20:17 Jesus said to her: “(...) I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’”

Some modern believers prefer to ignore Jesus' teachings in favor of following a false teaching that blatantly contradicts them.

You have God calling Jesus God in Psalam 45:6 confirmed in Hebrews 1:8

And the LORD making Jesus Lord

Psalm 110:1 [[A Psalm of David.]] The LORD (Father) said unto my Lord (Jesus), Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

And the same day Jesus was begotten from the dead he is sworn in as High priest forever after Melchizedek

Psalm 110:4 The LORD (Father) hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou (Jesus) art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Melchizdek is also a king, so we have God, Son, Lord, Priest, and King

Psalm 110:5 The Lord (Jesus?) at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Now we have Lamb of God, and Word of God

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And finally

Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

God made Jesus Lord and Christ (for us) as I showed earlier, and so I call the him the Son of God because that is the testimony given us of the Father (concerning Jesus Christ) . So I adress His God and Father as My God and Father and His Son Jesus as Lord and Christ, and Son of the living God.

So one God and Father and one Lord Jesus Christ.

That does not negate those other things, that is what God the Father has made Christ to be for us

@HealthyShape did you read Psalm 21 last night? And compared to John 5:26...you will notice how Jesus is showing his listeners he is the fulfillment of that Psalm.

@PS95 this is where this conversation started and where it ends.

God granted Jesus life (eternal)

Think better. Psal. 45 was written about a human king. Did God call "God" a human?

Besides that, there is no way someone who receive everything he got is equal to the One who give everything to him. Some people are just not even trying to reason better.

Is Jesus' God your God (John 20:17)?
My Lord GOD is the same as the God spoken of in Isa 44:6. HOW?....Rev 2:8.."And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;" Yes, Jesus Christ is the same GOD as is in Isa 44:6 and John 20:17.

...Psalm 110:5 The Lord (Jesus?) at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath....
Let me ask you a favor that will help the discussion on this matter flow more smoothly: when quoting from the Old Testament, quote from a version that contains the name Jehovah where the Tetragrammaton appears.

Reading the Old Testament, no one should be confused by thinking of Jesus when it is speaking of his Father, Jehovah.

Psal. 110:5 Jehovah will be at your right hand; He will crush kings on the day of his anger.
