study the word my friend..It will do you well
I have studied it. And if you have to try and explain away what is clearly written then you need the studying not me. At that point I could listen you or I could listen to Jesus. No offense but LMBO. I love when you people do this.

if you studied it. You would be able to answer my questions about everything Jesus said in John 6

the fact you can not. but are focused on 7 words. proves you need lots more study..

So I will leave you to it. And stop feeding your lack of belief

Therein lies your problem. I didn't answer them is not the same as I can't. Your reasoning abilities appear limited. You want to believe anything you asked discounts what Jesus said. You people also think the word "useful" in 2 Timothy 3:16 means scripture alone is the sole rule of faith. You can't make this stuff up

Only a blank fool is going to pretend that "our church traditions" are The Truth, and God's word (The Bible) is not their equal.

God's word was here before the MaryCult was created by a Goddess Diana Heretics and Gnostics......., and long after the MaryCult is finished, God's word still remains.

Read carefully .... and try to understand that "God's Words" are the HOLY BIBLE.....OT & NT

You still haven't shown that you have the authoritative understanding of Scripture. You are called out all the time here as a heretic, but people like you believe that proves you're right. Hilarious.

You pervert scripture and have the nerve "correct" others. You're a card

You can't comprehend very much. @nedsk
But you certainly like to prove to all of us how MaryCult thinking is so warped and ultimatley bible rejecting.
You are worth very little on this forum, but you do prove that, and that is good for the Real Believers to notice.
They need to see a MaryCult fool, who has no understanding, has no connection to the NT......try to sell MaryCult fanaticism, that is void of an understanding of God's Literal Grace.

Only the truth can make someone as angry as you are right now. Come to the light friend. Put away that foolishness you're peddling.

Bread and wine or crackers and Kool-aid?

A friend of mine (and father of my godson) comes from one of those tiny island nations in the South Pacific, and I remember him joking during a bible study that if Jesus had come to his country, John 6:35 would read, I am the bananas and coconuts of life.

Since wheat flour has to be imported from Oz or NZ, I'll have to ask him if they use the local Pandanus bread made from breadfruit and coconut milk during the Communion ritual? And do they use the local Karewe palm-wine?

And theologically, does it matter?
I once heard a story about missionaries that were trying to preach the gospel to a tribe of cannibals. They had no word for "love" in their vocabulary. They were asked, what is the greatest thing to you" They said "unboy!" So the missionaries told them "God is Unboy". As it turns out "Unboy" was the triceps muscle in the upper arm that supposedly had the best flavor. Needless to say, the concept of communion was easy to teach to them.

However, this does raise an interesting point. We say "God is Love" because we can imagine no virtue higher than love. But maybe...God is much higher than love but we lack the ability to describe anything higher.

<chuckles> I'm guessing this is a rhetorical question... <smile>

Yeah, what matters is doing it, right? Remembering and proclaiming the Lord’s death until he comes (1 Corinthians 11:26)? I mean, remembering that Christ's body was given for you and His blood shed for you, that He paid the wages of sin on your behalf so that you might have eternal life... Yeah, that's the important thing. Whether it's kool-aid or grape juice or fermented wine or what kind of bread it is... is just not important. Any way you slice it... see what I did there? ...it's a visual reminder of what our great God has done for us and promises to ~ and will, of course ~ do.

Grace and peace to all.
