But Jesus also said His second coming would be after specific cosmic signs and would be seen by all the tribes of the earth, like lightning across the sky (Matthew 24:27, 29–31). That did not happen in AD 70.
The problem with this is that, if Jesus and the New Testament writers were wrong about timing, why should we stick to other details of their eschatology?

If it did not happen as predicted, why does it need to happen in the future?

Millennial reign: Satan bound; first resurrection; saints reign with Christ (Revelation 20:1–6). Prophets describe peace and worldwide worship (Isaiah 2:2–4; 11:1–10; Zechariah 14:16–19).

When are the martyred saints who lived and reigned with Christ for one thousand years martyred? If after living and reigning with Christ for one thousand years, wouldn't they have become immortal & incorruptible? If not, how could mortal, corruptible flesh & blood live for one thousand years? Also, how could mortal flesh & blood live and reign with Christ in the Kingdom of God for one thousand years since mortal flesh and blood shall not inherit the Kingdom of God?

1 Corinthians 15:50 (KJV) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

The martyrs are raised at the first resurrection when Christ returns (Revelation 20:4–6). They are no longer flesh and blood but changed into immortal, incorruptible life, just as Jesus said those counted worthy of the resurrection “cannot die anymore, for they are equal to the angels” (Luke 20:35–36). Their reigning with Christ for a thousand years is in this glorified state, not as mortal men, but as those who have put on immortality (1 Corinthians 15:52–54).

Great White Throne: Second resurrection and final judgment (Revelation 20:11–15; John 5:28–29).

Where in these passages is it written there shall be two bodily resurrections separated by one thousand years? John writes only of the "first resurrection" (that is the resurrection of Christ) and the bodily resurrection of ALL who are physically dead in the graves bodily resurrected in the same hour that is coming after the thousand years have expired! There is no mention of a "second resurrection" to physical life, separated by one thousand years found in Scripture.

In life, before our physical death man MUST partake of resurrection life through the resurrection of Christ to overcome the second death. The martyrs John sees as living souls in heaven, before their death spiritually partook of Christ through His Spirit in them. They lived and reigned with Christ throughout this period of time John writes "a thousand years." Because the Kingdom of God during this period of time is a spiritual Kingdom in heaven where Christ now dwells with His spiritual body of saints there.

John 5:28-29 (KJV) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

During our lifetime (symbolically a thousand years, or time) on this earth we spiritually live and reign with Christ. Then when the seventh/last trumpet begins to sound that time shall be no longer for this earth, in physical body all of the dead shall be bodily resurrected to stand before the great white throne to give account for all that is recorded in the books and the book of life. We are either physically clothed with immortality and incorruption, or we are cast alive into the lake of fire that is the second death.

Revelation 20:4-5 (KJV) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

If they have lived and reigned with Christ for one thousand years with immortal & incorruptible physical flesh and blood, why would they need to be resurrected first to live and reign with Christ? If they are already physically glorified, not mortal men, but immortal & incorruptible why does John write they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years? Time for them would be irrelevant because immortal/incorruptible bodies live forever!

Jesus said those counted worthy of the resurrection “cannot die anymore, for they are equal to the angels” (Luke 20:35–36).

When speaking of the resurrection being equal to the angels, why do you assume Christ is NOT speaking of the "first resurrection"? That is the spiritual resurrection man partakes of through the Spirit of Christ in us when we are born again! That is resurrection from spiritual death to being spiritually alive in Christ. Being born again of Christ's Spirit is the only way that mankind shall both see (know) and enter the Kingdom of God. When we have been born again, we have part in the first resurrection, that is the resurrection of Christ, not physically, but spiritually, and when through Christ's Spirit in us we are equal to the angels of God in heaven and already living and reigning with Christ.

Christ also says those who have part in resurrection from the dead "neither marry, nor are given in marriage". Because we, who have been born again through the Spirit of Christ within already possess eternal spiritual life through Christ, and eternally, spiritually bound to Him as we are bound physically to husbands and wives on this earth.

Luke 20:35-38 (KJV) But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Revelation 20:4–6 clearly shows two groups: those who are raised to reign with Christ a thousand years, and “the rest of the dead” who do not live again until the thousand years are finished. If all were raised at once, John would not have made this distinction. Jesus also spoke of a “resurrection of life” and a “resurrection of condemnation” (John 5:28–29), showing two outcomes, not one single event for all. The first resurrection is not simply Christ’s, but of those who are raised to reign with Him before the thousand years are over.

He said they “neither marry nor are given in marriage, nor can they die anymore” (Luke 20:35–36). We still die in this age, even when born again, which shows His words point to the bodily resurrection, not only to spiritual renewal. The new birth by the Spirit is real and necessary now to see and enter the Kingdom (John 3:5), but it is not the same as the resurrection Jesus spoke of when He said the dead shall rise. To confuse the two is to take away from the promise of the coming resurrection of the body, when we shall truly like the angels and cannot die anymore.

Yes, John does indeed show two groups of people. Those who have lived and reigned with Christ before they were martyred for their faith, and the rest of the dead. John does NOT write those who have lived and reigned with Christ "are raised to reign with Christ a thousand years." John writes only that the martyred saints lived and reigned with Christ before being martyred during this time he writes a thousand years, and that the rest of the dead shall not live again until the thousand years were finished. Are you arguing that the dead, or those who have no part in the first resurrection, shall be bodily resurrected in mortal, corruptible flesh and blood to persecute and kill these saints who are immortal & incorruptible John sees as souls alive because they were faithful unto death?

Revelation 20:4-6 (KJV) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (5) But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Notice John writes only of "THE hour that is coming"! All who are physically dead (natural human bodies) in the graves hear His voice and come out of the graves. Among them are those who have good, the mortal bodies of faithful saints who in life lived and reigned with Christ before they died, resurrected with immortal & incorruptible bodies of flesh, and those who have done evil, the mortal bodies of all who have died in unbelief, resurrected bodies of flesh to damnation. Yes, two outcomes that come in the same "hour that is coming!"

John 5:28-29 (KJV) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

To confuse the two is to take away from the promise of the coming resurrection of the body, when we shall truly like the angels and cannot die anymore.

To confuse the spiritual and physical resurrection forces confusion and contradiction into the Word of God! When our doctrines force confusion and contradiction we MUST rethink the doctrine we have been taught. Because the Word of God is not a book that cannot be trusted because it is filled with confusion and contradiction as your opinions force.

When we have been born again, only our mortal flesh and blood dies in this age of time, symbolized a thousand years (not ONE thousand). We know this and are assured of this truth because we believe Christ when He tells us the life that we receive when we are born again of His Spirit (born again) is ETERNAL and will NEVER die! Your doctrine is confused because your focus is on physical flesh and blood that shall never inherit the Kingdom of God! Because the Kingdom of God we seek is NOT a physical Kingdom, but is the spiritual Kingdom of God in heaven.

All physical bodies are born in sin and destined to die! When the physical body of man dies it returns to dust of the earth, but the spirit that gives our mortal body life returns to God who gave it.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Ecclesiastes 3:21 (KJV) Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

When we are born again, we possess everlasting, eternal spiritual life that shall NEVER die, even though our bodies of flesh & blood shall die! The promise we have from Christ when we have partaken of spiritual resurrection through the resurrection of Christ is heaven, not one thousand more years of physical life on this earth. When we have been born again we both see and enter the Kingdom of God, that is NOT of flesh and blood but a spiritual body of believers in heaven.

Hebrews 12:22-24 (KJV) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

1 Corinthians 15:17-19 (KJV)
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

1 Corinthians 15:35 (KJV) But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

1 Corinthians 15:44 (KJV)
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1 Corinthians 15:46-50 (KJV) Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

All of these passages from Scripture prove that the Kingdom of God in heaven is NOT of this world, but is the spiritual habitation of heaven, the dwelling place of spiritual beings with human spirits that have been born again. When man is alive on this earth, we are physical bodies, destined to die, with physical life-giving spirits, and when man dies every human spirit giving our mortal body life returns to God after physical death. Our life-giving spirit after physical death of our mortal body is either part of the spiritual body of Christ in heaven or is as dead bodies in the grave without the life-giving spirit that returned to God in darkness and unbelief.

When Jesus spoke of those counted worthy of the resurrection, He was not describing a present spiritual new birth, but the future resurrection from the dead.

Only those who have been born again shall be bodily resurrected immortal & incorruptible. Why must mankind be born again to see and enter the Kingdom of God? Christ has come, all that was written concerning Him is NOW fulfilled through Him.

Believers have risen from the dead when they are made alive (quickened) by the Holy Spirit. That is the process by which we are born again from the DEAD (spiritually). That's how He can say God is not God of the physically dead, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob because they are spiritually among the living bride of Christ, a spiritual body in heaven waiting for the spiritual Kingdom of God in heaven to be complete, and they shall be reunited with immortal & incorruptible bodies fit to live with Christ forever on the new earth.

Christ speaks in this manner, knowing the cross, death and bodily resurrection to life again awaits Him. Then Christ will return again to take the Old Covenant faithful saints as spiritual body with Him when He ascends to heaven. That's why He is God of the dead saints of Old who are spiritually alive through Him.

Mark 12:25 (KJV) For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
Mark 12:26 (KJV)
And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
Mark 12:27 (KJV) He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

Ephesians 4:8-10 (KJV)
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Romans 14:7-9 (KJV) For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Ephesians 2:1 (KJV)
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Ephesians 2:4-7 (KJV) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Jesus said plainly, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Again He said, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:5–6). This shows why man must be born again. We are born once in flesh, but that flesh is weak and cannot inherit the kingdom of God. We need a new life from the Spirit, to be made alive in God.

When the Sadducees questioned about the resurrection, Jesus answered, “For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses… ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living” (Mark 12:25–27). Here Jesus teaches that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are alive to God. Though their bodies died, their spirits live, waiting for the resurrection.

Jesus Himself is the first to rise from the dead never to die again. He said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die” (John 11:25–26). This is why those who belong to Him must be born again. They pass from death to life even now in spirit, and in the last day He will raise them up in a body that cannot die (John 6:40, 54). The disciples also speak the same way. Peter declared, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3). Being “begotten again” is the new birth, tied directly to the resurrection of Christ.

Paul speaks in agreement with this, saying, “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1). He explains further, “Even when we were dead in trespasses, [God] made us alive together with Christ…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4–6). This means believers are already raised spiritually with Christ, though we wait still for the body to be raised immortal and incorruptible.

When Christ rose and ascended, “He led captivity captive” (Ephesians 4:8). This points to the faithful of old being taken up with Him, no longer held in death, but alive to God through His victory. That is why Jesus said God is not God of the dead, but of the living.

So we see: mankind must be born again because the kingdom of God is not for flesh and blood as we are now, but for those made alive by the Spirit. Christ came, died, and rose again so that both the saints before Him and those after might be alive to God. Those who believe are already alive in spirit, and on the last day they will be raised in a body that cannot die, to live with Him forever on the new earth.

Then who are those other people that Satan deceives, and why are they even perceived as a threat to the resurrected saints?
Where do they come from?

As in the resurrection Jesus says this, there is no marriage, if no marriage, then no births

Luke 20
34 And Jesus answering said unto them, “The children of this world marry and are given in marriage.

35 But they that shall be accounted worthy to obtain that World and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage,

36 neither can they die any more; for they are equal unto the angels and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Satanic Rebellion Crushed

7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[b] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Those whom Satan deceives after the thousand years are not the resurrected saints. Jesus said those who are raised in the resurrection of life cannot die anymore and are equal to the angels (Luke 20:35–36). They do not marry, so no new children come from them. The deceived nations in Revelation 20:7–9 are the rest of mankind who were not part of the first resurrection, those who remained on the earth. When Satan is released, he stirs them up against the saints, but they are destroyed by fire from God. The saints are never in danger, for they are immortal; the threat exists only in the minds of the deceived nations, who come from the four corners of the earth, not from among the resurrected children of God.

But they all died when Christ returned
All those who do not know God were destroyed.
The only ones who survive Christ's return are His people, not the devil's people

There are several good passages that tell us that very thing, one is Revelation 13

4 And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5 And there was given unto him a mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies, and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in Heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If any man have an ear, let him hear:

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity. He that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

We absolutely know they can not live through the return of Christ as it then says in Rev 14 this

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand,

10 the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out unmixed into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13 And I heard a voice from Heaven, saying unto me, “Write: ’Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth.’” “Yea,” saith the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them.”

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am prompting people to explain their doctrine, which makes no sense according to the scriptures.

the passages being discussed are speaking of two different times, and we need to keep them apart.

Before Christ’s return:
Jesus said His coming will bring sudden judgment. In Matthew 24:37–39 He compared it to the days of Noah: the ungodly were swept away, but the righteous were saved. Revelation 19 also shows the armies gathered against Christ being destroyed when He returns. So at His return, the wicked powers of the world are judged, and only those who belong to Christ enter into His Kingdom to reign with Him. These are the ones who are part of the “first resurrection” (Rev. 20:4–6), who live and reign with Christ and cannot die anymore (Luke 20:35–36).

After the thousand years:
Revelation 20 then moves forward in time. After the saints have reigned with Christ for the thousand years, Satan is released for a short season. He goes out to deceive “the nations” in the four corners of the earth (Rev. 20:7–8). These are not the resurrected saints, because the saints are immortal and safe with Christ. Rather, they are the rest of mankind, those not written in the Book of Life (Rev. 13:8). Satan gathers them for one last rebellion, but God sends fire from heaven to consume them, and the devil is cast into the lake of fire forever (Rev. 20:9–10).

So the judgment at Christ’s return and the final rebellion after the millennium are two separate events. At His return, the wicked world is destroyed and the saints are raised to reign with Him. After the thousand years, Satan is freed for a time and deceives the nations again, but this ends with their final destruction by God’s fire.

You are not seeing your illogical use of scripture.

All the people who rule with Christ are the resurrected saints, correct?
Reign 1000 years,

Then Satan get released, and deceives who? Who are the people who get deceived?
The rest of mankind, who are they?

Did they not before the return of Christ worship the Dragon? And get his mark? BEFORE the 1000 years of time.
Were they not all destroyed when Christ returned?

Another example 2 thessalonians 1

6 For it is a righteous thing with God to recompense with tribulation those who trouble you;

7 and to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from Heaven with His mighty angels,

8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

10 when He shall come on that Day to be glorified in His saints and to be admired in all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah, they are all of them dead.
The only living ones are those who are in Christ when he returns, and they are resurrected into glorified bodies, so who are these future rebels?
All you have is the resurrected glorified saints and Christ. That is it.
