It always breaks my heart to see domestic dogs or cats that are good hearted, well mannered pets that are no longer cared for in a loving family home for whatever reason. I know sometimes elderly lose their pets too.
I'm not sure they have the wild instincts necessary for survival outside a domestic environment. It warms the heart to see them recovered to safety so they don't end up suffering.

The above dog found by the shelter is doing well... eating like crazy. Takis put him with another dog they just found. She is extremely scared but does let Takis pet her.
Takis always observes new dogs to make sure they will get along. @Nancy @Marvelloustime @Raccoon1010

@Debp Thanks for this. I have a friend who has been following Takis for years. Linda often talks to me about him and how he has helped loads of dogs in Crete.
How nice to hear about Linda following Takis.
He posts a lot of videos of Europeans that come to Crete to adopt a dog or cat. That's so good to see. The Germans especially seem to adopt from him. Although there have been Dutch, Swiss and a British gal.
These are brief... adoptions.

Yeah it’s definitely the same fella that Linda follows. I recognize the name Takis and she often tells me about all the dogs he has adopted in Crete. Linda has a cock-a-poo called Sasha. Linda is 72. I will suggest to her about visiting Takis, but I can’t see her going. She will say to me, “Who will look after Sasha and my parrot Charlie if I went over there?”

@Marvelloustime Takis is currently live. I was watching the hostage release live for a long time but just saw Takis was live.
