What gospel did Jesus preach?

Did Jesus preach that he would die for our sins and rise for our justification?

[Mark 1:14-15 KJV] 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Jesus did not preach salvation by the cross, but rather, he preached the kingdom was at hand. This was the gospel Jesus preached.

God promised an earthly kingdom, in which, Jesus will reign from Jerusalem, sitting on David's throne..........[Luke 1:31-33 KJV] 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
[Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV] 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this...........Israel will reign with Christ as kings and priests for a thousand years............[Revelation 5:10 KJV] 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
[Revelation 20:6 KJV] 6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Jesus sent the twelve apostles to preach the gospel of the kingdom as well.........[Luke 9:1-2 KJV] 1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick............Paul did not preach the gospel of the kingdom, which refutes the assertion that there is only one gospel.

As "gospel" means good news, there are actually several fospels.

Yes jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom. He came first to offer the Millennial kingdom to Israel. But He also knew they would reject teh offer and He would build His church on the good news that He died and rose to save menfrom their sins.

Or…..

The Kingdom of God isn’t what they thought it was then. And maybe not what we think it is today either.

Think about it.

'Saved' - go to Heaven
Which verses do you believe teaches how a believer today will enter Heaven tomorrow ?
None, of course. We don't "go to Heaven"; we get resurrected on the New Earth under the New Heaven where God makes His home with men. But the question was, what if that isn't the point?

"Saved" - somewhere eternally pleasant
Which verses do you believe teach what is required of a believer today to be "saved"?

All are saved the same way. Remember in Acts, Peter was preaching to a crowd whpo had already heard much of Jesus. but it is trusting solely iin the death and resurrection of jesus for our sin is the only way one gets saved since Pentecost until He returns

I think I missed this
The millennial kingdom has an end but then there is a new heavens and earth in which Christ will reign in his kingdom (includes heavens and earth) forever

John 11:24:
Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day".

So did Martha not know about this "millennial kingdom"? The resurrection of the dead, just and unjust, is at THE LAST DAY. The last day of this world as we know it.

In other words, any similar verse will end with" last day", not, " last day, after the millennial kingdom". That timeline is nowhere to be found in scripture.

Then you would agree that the jewish people need to believe on Christ before He comes as well. Correct?

Absolutely! there is no different way to god for Jews as compared to Gentiles.
Amen. But sadly most churches teach that every " jew" is going to be saved when Jesus comes. That blatantly goes against scripture:

John 12:47-48:
And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world. 48 He that rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word which I spoke, that word will judge him in the last day.

Even though Jesus is now in Heaven, He is still "saving the world". by the power of the Holy Spirit. But at the last day of this world when Jesus comes it will be too late.

Any thoughts on why LAY HANDS was no longer required in Eph 1:13 ?
Peter >> Acts 8:17 laid hands to receive HS
Paul. >> Acts 19:6 laid hands to receive HS
Paul. >> Eph 1:13 believe Gospel to receive HS

The resurrection of the dead, just and unjust, is at THE LAST DAY. The last day of this world as we know it.
The resurrection of the just and unjust dont happen at the same time.
The resurrection of the just occurs at the last day which is the end of the tribulation
The resurrection of believing Israel from Abraham on is the resurrection of the Just and occurs at the end of the tribulation......[Revelation 20:4 KJV] "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
[Revelation 20:6 KJV] "Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."..............NOTE they will reign for a thousand years

The resurrection of the unjust happens after the thousand year kingdom,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,[Revelation 20:5 KJV] "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection."

Well Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Zechariah, and Romans do teach that right before Jesus returns, all Israel that is alive at the time will be saved. but no not all Jews from all time will be saved.

The reason why some Christians believe the "thousand years " is to be taken in a figurative or an allegorical sense is simply because the Bible will not support the teachings that come from it.

We must compare scripture with scripture. The Bible is it's own interpreter. When you do your own research, away from all the distractions of the antichrist agenda, you will find out that there is only ONE resurrection, and it occurs at the last day of this world. God could not make it clearer than in John 5:28-29:

28 Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice 29 and shall come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.

" all those in the tombs" = ALL OF HUMANITY , because it's the last day, like Martha said in John 11:23-24:

23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.”

The last day is when " time is no longer":

Revelation 10:6-7 KJV
And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
[7] But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

And I certainly believe that the spiritual delusion over this " extra Biblical " millennial kingdom for unrepentant jews is part of that mystery.

Acts 8: Peter had the keys to the kingdom. Keys open doors. So Peter had to open th eway for the Samaritans to receive the Holy spirit as he did with the Gentiles in Acts 10.

Acts 19: from what I understand, these were people who accepted Johns messgae and heard about jesus, but appeared to not have accepted the death and resurrection of Jesus yet.

As for Eph. Peter had opened the door for the gentiles to receive the holy spirit, so from that point on, all who accepted Christ received the Spirit the moment of salvation.
