1 Timothy 2:14 (ESV): "and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor."

Eve's Deception: Genesis 3:6 clearly shows Eve taking the fruit first, motivated by the serpent's deception.
Despite Eve's initial action, Adam's sin is often emphasized because he was not deceived and knowingly disobeyed God's direct command. He was given the command directly, while Eve received it from Adam.

My Question "what if" Adam had refused to disobeyed God, I understand there is no right or wrong answer, for we do not know what God/Yahweh would have done, just interested in thoughts in reference to this situation

Thank you for the question.

Answer: it would not have help—Eve would have pestered, nagged, and harangued Adam until he relented. (Also, her intense verbiage would have been contrary to Love Thy Neighbor, which would have made matters even worse for her.)

On the other hand, what if both had repented sincerely and begged for a second chance?

Blessings.

Your Scenairo would make an interesting Fiction Book.

Its actually a very complex question, because .........if Adam had not fallen, then only Eve would have sinned, and therefore the rest of Humanity would not have been effected as we have been., as sin came into the world by "one MAN"s sin"..
So, This means that Hell would not be filling up right now with sinners, unforgiven.

What we might consider is........

Would God have been able to Eternally redeem Eve of her sin, without sending Jesus to The Cross. ???????????????????????

Eve was in a situation of Grace, because she sinned "where there is no Law there is no Sin".. yet, she committed inquity because she disobeyed God's command., which is the same as breaking a commandment.

If we study the life of Abraham, we find that he LIED 2x......and God still '"""counted Abraham's Faith as Righteouenss.""""
God does the exact same for all the born again, who were sinners when they are SAVED.

The reason that this wont work for Eve, is because Eve knows God already........she didnt have to believe in Him by Faith, so, that ends any hope of her being """made righteouss by God, based on Faith".

So, two things would have happened., and perhaps others...

God would have slain an animal as He did for them both.....but in this case, just one for Eve... so that the blood covered her sin, but didnt redeem her forever.

Eve's body would have eventually died... because "the wages of sin is death", and "the body is dead because of sin".... so..... would she have gone to Hell? as Hell existed already being created for "the Devil and His Angels" before Adam was created..
She could not have gone to "Abraham's bosom". = ""Paradise""", because it didnt exist yet, except in God's foreknowledge.
So where would God put Her unredeemed spirit, after she died.....????

And the 3rd thing to consider, is.........would Jesus have come down for her, to die for her sin ???? and by what Virgin??... as He is eternal redemption and Eve needs it.
Could EVE in some way give God her faith in Christ, when there was no Gospel, because there was No Cross........
Would God have explained to Adam......"The Gospel" so that he could explain it to Eve so that she could be redeemed by the Blood of Jesus?

All the answers and many more are found in that Hardback New York Times best selling : fiction book..

"What about EVE".

You need to re-word your question, "... refused to disobeyed God." Refuse to disobey? What's that?

Well, we DO... know God said He would do, and did, and why, per the rest of His Word. We have that advantage of knowing today because we have His written Word and law.

I get asked this a lot, that if it was Eve in the transgression, then what was Adam's sin?

It should be obvious per what God established between man and woman per His Word. He put the man over the woman, which Paul goes into right there in that 1 Timothy 2 chapter. Most likely then, Adam's part in the sin was allowing Even to be deceived, and by going along with her. Thus it makes sense why the devil went after Eve, because if he had her then he automatically knew he had Adam too.

And thus the problem in a lot of marriages today, with a good husband having a wife that listens to the world and wants the things of the world instead of heeding her good husband. And notice I said 'good' husband, a follower of Christ and in His Word.

Bob, lol, you're a mess, however you are probably right! however, I think their repentance would've been a little too late, they brought sin into the picture

Wow, you brought up some excellent points! now we know from Genesis, that both their falls were anticipated, "Let us make mankind in our image" Romans 8:3 says "God sent His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to condemn sin," so there was a way prepared, .....

I was saying what if he had refused (meaning Eve) to not do what God had told him not to do....

I don't understand you, because Adam did disobey God's commandment along with Eve. It's just that Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 2 revealed that Eve was involved in the 'specific' sin, while Adam was guilty another way and thus both were attributed as disobeying God's commandment.

The Covenant was made with Adam...not Eve.

The real question is: Would Eve have become mortal for her disobedience.

What do you think @Behold

I think so too, I don't know how that would have affected mankind, because at that time they had no off-spring...

We are all mortal......in the sense that our body is going to die.
But inside this "earth suit".....is the real person.....who is the spirit.......
So, Eve's body would die, but her spirit is eternal, as it came from God just like the one who is the real us.

The CHRISTian is not our body......its our Born again SPIRIT.......that gets a new body.

The "body is dead because of sin"....but the spirit is etenal.

God has foreknowledge.......and that is Knowledge of all things before they happen next.

The Holy Bible has Foreknowledge, as its knows what is going to happen down here regarding what God is going to do in the future.

THat is not the same as the false teaching (Hyper-Calvinism) that God pre-destines it all.........including our salvation.

God KNOWS who is going to become a Christian, before they are born, (ForeKnowledge) but God does not predestine anyone to become a Christian.

Foreknowledge is NOT predestination.

I agree, I loved these comments, I prayed and I'm going to focus more on the spiritual things in conversations on this forum, God is in control, and will take control over those forces the enemy is using against us to divide us, I will still give my 2 cents lol, but I enjoyed this!
