The Congress are still being paid in all this.

The Democrats can't stop Trump in his second term because they are not majority in either House now. Unlike his first term.

So,this is their tactic. I wouldn't be surprised if they carry on this shutdown the duration of his term.

The forefathers of this nation were either reprehensible dogs in setting up our government in this way, or they were short sighted even though they had the experience of living in a monarchal ruled country.

Giving Congress and SCOTUS more power than the Executive Branch was ridiculous.
Not putting term limits on any of the three branches ,given their experience of a Monarchy,was silly.
Washington ,thank God, pursued term limits for the Executive Branch.

The obscene factor in the forefathers governance mechanism is they insured no term limits could apply to the Legislative Branch unless they vote for that themselves by a 2/3rds majority vote so to amend the Constitution.
Which is never going to happen among greedy corrupt members of Congress.
