The path you chose to take was unpredictable and unknown. The footbridge was not only off the path but it also led to someone you were trying to help. Fully aware of this person's spiritual condition and the deeds of the flesh hidden underneath. The falling jewelry under the bridge showed your commitment but it also put you in a lot of danger, although you tried to work discreetly. Areas that were once covered began to be brought to light. Some of those areas were of the flesh; others were demonic and defiling. As the garbage was cleared away from this site. The same strategies/ideas that were being used by this person seemed to appeal to others but they thought better of it as you revealed to them where they originally came from. (under the footbridge)

The first thing that came to mind is our spiritual walk into heaven. The bridge crosses over material things that fall off as you cross the bridge - "you can't take it with you".

Others still place value on stuff and you warned them that it's just trash, but I guess still clinged unto your precious. Get ready to let it all go and leave it behind.
Did not Jesus tell us to store our treasures in Heaven so that they would be there when we too get to heaven?
The problem that we all have is being able to determine what is our real treasure which we can store in heaven?

Who's we? Haven't you figured it out? Loving relationships are the treasures. He gave us two commands: love God and love your neighbor. That is what we sow here and reap here and there as well.
Your point may be valid. I did not try to be prescriptive about what our treasures may be that we deliberately chose to store in heaven. It may be very different for every one of us who believes in the Son of God.

There is a walkway near the water, near where I live. While my Mum was walking along it, with me, my Mum all of a sudden said "I want to run for a minute" and we ran, not more than a hundred meters. About fifteen seconds after we stopped, someone came running past us in the opposite direction. We looked at her and she smiled this big smile (but kept her pace). Then we walked the rest of the way home.
