No. He never made a new group. That is a Dispie lie. He expanded true remnant believing Israel to include the Gentile nations. I have showed you the biblical evidence and you have rejected that.

There are no words that exemplify the union Christ made between the old covenant saints and the new covenant believers than what Jesus told to His Jewish followers prior to the cross, in John 10:14-16, I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”

Union with Christ is an organic relationship that brings us into a tightly interwoven corporate body. A person cannot be saved except they are in union with Christ. Being in union with Christ brings us into union with God’s people.

We have been grafted into the faithful remnant of believing Israel. We are now one with them. There is no racial distinction any more or apartheid amongst the people of God. God looks at the Church as one flock, one fold and one people.
So how did Adam`s other children come to know Christ? (Gen. 4: 26)

And why did the Old Testament Saints look for a city and NOT Christ? (Heb. 11: 16.

A relevant point like :-
Was Moses, David, Abraham saved by the Eph 1:13, 1 Cor 15:1-4 Gospel ?

Also good point. Let`s remember that the Holy Spirit was not given to build the Body, till the Lord ascended to the Father.

Yes, with which we today receive & are sealed with the HS the moment we believe the Gospel - Eph 1:13.
Some say the laying of hands is still required today to receive the HS yet are unable to list the teachings of Paul (Rom-Philemon) that supports those views.

Do you believe natural ethnic Israel will have any place in your future millennium? Do you see a future rebuilding of the temple? Do you see future animal sacrifices?
I'm not taking sides bro, but wouldn't it be better if you addressed his accusation of duplicity first, and asked questions later? Just trying to return the favor.
Much love, much peace.

And a big hello to you too. So where does it say that?

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

What is the promised seed in the Garden of Eden? Who and what was this pointing to?

Who told you that?

Speaking of Joseph in Genesis 41:38, we learn, “And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?”

Exodus 28:3 says, thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.”

Exodus 31:3 says, “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.”

Numbers 14:24 says, my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.”

Even before succeeding Moses, Joshua was filled with the Spirit. Numbers 27:18 tells us, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him.”

Deuteronomy 34:9 says, Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.”

Nehemiah 9:30 confirms, “Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.”

David declares in Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”

Isaiah 63:11 says, “he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? Where is he (God) that put his Holy Spirit within him (Moses)?"

Ezekiel 2:2 testified, the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 says, “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”

Ezekiel 37:14 says, “And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD."

Daniel 6:3 says, “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm."

Micah 3:8 testified, I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.”

Luke 1:13-17, “the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

Luke 1:41 records of John’s mother, Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.”

Luke 1:67 records of John’s mother, Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost.

John 20:21-23 records of Christ’s impartation of the Holy Spirit to the disciples prior to Pentecost, “he breathed on them, and saith unto them, receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.”

1 Peter 1:7-12 explicitly states, speaking to the New Testament saints about our common salvation in Christ, with the OT saints, “the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.”

Possessing “the spirit of Christ” is expressly identified with the ‘indwelling’ of the Spirit in Romans 8:9, where the passage says of God’s elect, you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”

The condition for salvation, throughout all time is possession of “the spirit of Christ.” Ephesians 3:14-21 says, “I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven (Old Testament and New Testament saints up until today) and earth (Jew and Gentile) is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God …Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end."

1 Corinthians 10:1 & 4 says, “I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea ... And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

Hebrews 11:23-26 says, By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.”

And? That is all he does. He has zero evidence. What more do you want me to say?
I don't want you to do anymore than the Spirit leads you to do my brother.
Now you know how I feel about Scott.

Are there verses that teach to enter eternal life they were to place their faith/trust in only (Eph 1:13, 1 Cor 15:1-4) the death/burial/resurrection of Christ for forgiveness of all their sins ?

Yes we know that is Jesus, however the early people did not know that only that one born of the woman would bruise the serpent`s head.

Where is the `gospel` in all that - salvation by accepting Christ`s sacrifice?

Yes, we know that the Holy Spirit was very active prior to building the Body of Christ, however, that was for other purposes as God`s word shows - relating to the nation of Israel. And yes it was the Lord who protected Israel through their wandering as God`s word says.

Yes they did! Adam would have passed that on to his offspring.

The Gospel is written all over Adam and Eve's experience. Adam would have told his kids how he tried in his foolishness to cover his own sin. He ran from God. He tried to hide from God. But God in His love, grace and mercy came to him. God made a sacrifice. God covered his nakedness with a covering. There is the salvation message!

In this, we our righteousness is as filthy rags. In this, we see there is no covering without the shedding of innocent blood. Every Old Testament sacrifice, feast and ordinance pointed to Christ. Every Old Testament office pointed to Christ.

It was still the OT Church. We have been integrated into the invisible believing aspect of that - the good olive tree.

The Scriptures are essentially God revealing Himself to mankind through the communication of spiritual knowledge. As we analyze the ancient Hebrew text, we see a central theme running throughout it, that of the arrival of a Redeemer, a Savior and a Messiah to rescue man from his sinful condition. This comes in the form of direct prophecies, old covenant offices, ceremonial typology, and a tapestry of unfolding preparation.

Israel is not the heart of the Bible, Jesus is. He is the central character of the Old Testament. He is the central character of the New Testament. From beginning to end the theme of the sacred text is Christ. He is the central character in time. He is the central character in eternity. He is the central character in heaven. He is the central character on earth. He is the central character amongst men, He is the central character among angels.

Every Old Testament prophet, priest and king looked forward to our Savior, being imperfect types of Him, as He was the accomplishment and realization of these offices. The whole elaborate Judaic ceremonial system directed men to the cross of Christ. Jesus the Messiah is the fulfillment of the promises God made to Israel. He is the fulfillment of the hopes of Israel. In the Old Testament He is “the hope of Israel” and in the New Testament He is the ‘hope of the nations’.

The Holy Scriptures are a gradual progressive unveiling of spiritual truth. It is only as the Old Testament jigsaw puzzle is pieced together that we see Christ displayed in all His majestic glory. The whole Mosaic ceremonial system pointed forwards towards the coming Messiah. The type, figure and shadow looked ahead to the reality, substance, image and fulfilment in Christ. The Old Testament pages were (and are) pointers to the divine purpose fulfilled exclusively in our Lord.

God’s old covenant people awaited their Messiah Jesus coming to redeem them from their sin. He was Israel’s anticipated Savior coming to rescue them from their fallen estate. Jesus fulfilled this down to the very letter of the Law. He perfectly accomplished everything the Old Testament Scriptures demanded of Him.

Hebrews 1:1-2 confirms:God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.”

Jesus Christ is shown to be the central character of the Old Testament. He is the central character of the New Testament. He is the central character in time. He is the central character in eternity. He is the central character in heaven. He is the central character on earth. He is the central character amongst men. He is the central character among the angels.

The New Testament Scriptures, and especially the words and actions of our Savior, help us better understand the Hebrew pages.

The Old Testament prophets foretold that the Messiah would be a descendant of Adam (Genesis 3:15), a child of Abraham (Genesis 22:14), a progeny of Jacob (Numbers 24:17; Matthew 1:2), of the lineage of Judah (Genesis 49:9-10), and an offspring of David (2 Samuel 7:12–16; Psalm 132:11; Isaiah 9:7, 11:1 & Jeremiah 23:5–6). Jesus perfectly fulfilled all this. It was from this elect lineage that Jesus was born. He wasn’t just merely an Israelite. He was off an elect seed – that included Jews and Gentiles. He was off a holy bloodline, not just a racial bloodline. Christ’s genealogy goes back before Abraham (John 8:58). Abraham was a Gentile. Those who preceded him were also Gentiles.

Collectively, the old covenant prophets painted a very detailed picture of their Messiah and His earthly sojourn. They predicted that the Messiah would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14 & Matthew 1:23). They identified where He would be born (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:1; Luke 2:4-6). They saw His divinity (Psalm 110 1-7, Isaiah 9:6-7, Micah 5:4 & Luke 1:30-33). They expressed how He would enter Jerusalem riding as a king on a donkey. (Zechariah 9:9). They told of his betrayal (Psalm 41:9 & Zechariah 11:12-13). They spoke about the nature and importance of His death (Genesis 3:15, Psalms 22:12-18, Isaiah 53, Daniel 9:24-26, Ezekiel 36:26-27, 37:26-28, Jeremiah 31:31-34, Jeremiah 32:38-40 & Zechariah 12:10). They saw how soldiers would gamble for the Messiah's garments. (Psalm 22:18; Luke 23:34). They foresaw His victorious resurrection (Psalm 16:10, Isaiah 26:19, 25:8-9, 55:3, Hosea 6:1-2, 13:14). Jesus perfectly fulfilled all this.

Jesus was not a stranger to the Old Testament saint. Jesus explicitly confirmed: “Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad” (John 8:56). The great patriarch and father of the faith looked expectantly for Jesus. He saw Christ’s coming with the eyes of faith. Albert Barnes explains: “Though Abraham was not permitted to live to see the times of the Messiah, yet he was permitted to have a prophetic view of him, and also of the design of his coming.”

Moses is another that is said to be looking for Jesus by faith. Hebrews 11:23-26 says, “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.”

The Bible is indeed one single Book telling one single story about one central character: Jesus Christ. The Old Testament prepares the way for Christ and points the ancient believers in the direction of Him. The New Testament on the other hand is the realization, arrival and revelation of the Messiah.

Peter proclaimed at the temple porch in Acts 3:18-24 to “the men of Israel”: “those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.”

Christ was clearly anticipated throughout the Old Testament era. Paul preached to king Agrippa: “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.”

1 Corinthians 10:1 & 4 says, “I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea ... And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

Israel in the Old Testament were not divorced from Christ. They partook in Him, by way of shadow, figure and type. He was the overriding purpose for their existence.

Speaking about the old covenant saints, the writer to the Hebrews explained: “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth” (Hebrews 11:13). All the champions of the faith in Hebrews 11 looked for the coming Christ. He was the promised was that they longed for.

1 Peter 1:7-12 asserts, speaking of the New Testament saints (who now look back to the cross with hope) and their common salvation, in Christ, with the Old Testament saints (who looked forward to the cross in hope), “though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

The Old Testament saints plainly possessed the same Spirit of Christ as New Testament believers do, although, they obviously looked forward by faith to the promised Redeemer, whereas the New Testament Church now looks back. The Old and New Testament saints, Jew and Gentile alike, have now been graciously merged together into the one harmonious spiritual Israel of God – the Church. This body recognizes no dispensational or ethnic separation at all.
