yes but will they resume, the prophets indicate some might.
Since the Law was done away with, Christ is our High Priest. Why would Jesus Christ allow sacrifices again for Jews to ridicule Christs atoning death and resurrection, when everyone has the opportunity to seek Christ now. Jesus told me that Israel is without a pilot. Another words, Christ isn't protecting Israel today after His return to heaven and they are still stiff necked and have animosity towards Christians.
John 14:6 - “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Bro.tan could you post more about the different Holidays and how they represent the plan of God This does interest me quite a bit Is you could post a simple explanation for each I would be grateful, me as a gentile am aware of these days but do not understand them fully. I am aware that when Jesus return some of these feasts will resume and will like to know More. thank you. If I read correctly the prophets some sacrifices will also resume there are many types of sacrifice and if you could indicate the ones that will or could resume I could learn from this also.

Thank you and Blessings, Happy Shabbat
Ok I'll staThe plan of God is outlined in Leviticus chapter 23. When we begin to read this chapter we will find the Lord's weekly Sabbath and also the Lord's High and Holy Days. Each High Day has a very important meaning, and if you are familiar with them you simply know the plan of God. These Holydays represent the future and present time, and are a shadow of good things to come, meaning some of these Holy Days have not came yet.

This study will be a small look at these days, giving examples of what each day means. We will begin at the Lord's Passover and end at the Feast of Tabernacles. Now, let's take a look at the Lord's Passover. Leviticus 23:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, (verse 2) Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

Look at verse 2. Does it state the feast of the Jews, or the Feast of the Lord? These feasts are holy gatherings. These feasts are not a request, they are commandments.

Leviticus 23:4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

Notice, once again the book states these are the feasts of the Lord, and they are Holy gatherings and must be observed in their season. We cannot observe these days when we get ready. They must be observed when the Lord says they must be observed. Take a look at the next verse and the Lord tells you the exact day you must observe this feast, which is the Passover.

Leviticus 23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's Passover.

Note what the book states. The Lord's Passover must be observed on the 14 day of the first month, which is the month of Abib. This month can be set by the new moon in the spring. In the 4th verse it states it must be observed in its season, any other time is wrong. Within the Roman Christian community, the bread and wine is taken every Sunday or every first Sunday. They also have changed the name of the Passover. They call it communion, sacrament or when someone's about to die they call it the last rites. When this is done it is done in vain. It must be taken when the Lord says it must be taken. Most people think the bread and the wine started when Jesus sat down with His apostles to eat the Passover. The King of Salem Melchizedek used the same tokens (bread and wine) when he met Abraham. The bread and the wine are very old. Some people call this the last supper. I find that very strange, because after the Lord's resurrection He ate with His apostles on the seaside. So that last supper statement is a myth. Now let's break the Passover down a little, and get the meaning of this High and Holy day. Let's go to Exodus chapter 12.

Exodus 12:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Note what the verse says, this is the first month, the first month of the Year. This is when the New Year begins. Jacobs's elder brother Esau who calls himself a Jew states that the seventh month is also the beginning of the Year. But, the Lord states he has set the boundaries of all the sons of Adam according to the number of Israel. Israel has 12 tribes, so that let's you know there are twelve months in a year, not seven. The Lord picked twelve apostles, New Jerusalem will have twelve gates with twelve angels standing at them etc. Let's continue.

Exodus 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: 4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Take a look at verse 5. Notice the lamb must be without blemish, a male of the first year, in other words this lamb has to be perfect and be the first born. This lamb represents the Lamb of God, which is Jesus. Jesus did not commit any sin. That would make him without blemish. He also was the first born of Mary, just like the lamb in verse 5 above. Jesus wasn't the only child that Mary had He was simply the first born.

Exodus 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

They must keep the lamb until the 14th day of the month and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. Jesus death came to pass the same way. All Israel that knew they were Israel had to return to Jerusalem and observe the Passover. And Jesus was killed on the Passover and was taken off the cross at even (sun down).

Exodus 12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Once the lamb was killed they put the blood over the door post. The blood protected Israel from the death angel that came through Egypt that night. It wasn't enough for the Lamb to die, but whoever put the blood over the door post was placed under the blood of the lamb. Israel was no cleaner than the Egyptians. The Book states a mix multitude came out from Egypt with Israel, this lets you know that other peoples had believed in the God of Israel. In other words, by putting the blood over the door post their faith in God delivered them.

Exodus 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S Passover. 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

Notice what the Lord says, "I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast." If the people were not under the blood of the Lamb their first born would die.

Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

The blood shall be a token and when the Lord sees the blood He will Passover you. This is were the word Passover came from. It means exactly that, Passover. The Lord will Passover you when He sees the blood of the Lamb. When the Lord shed his blood for us, we had to come under His blood. Why? Every man born of woman has some type of sin. Once you bring yourself under the blood of Jesus the Lord will pass over your past sins. Once you have done that, you must try not to sin willfully. If you do, you will die for your own sins when you continue to sin willfully. To make it plain and simple, If the Lord doesn't Passover your sins He will destroy you.

Now let's connect the Passover to Jesus so you will have no doubt in your mind what all this represents. Most people think the Old Testament and the New Testament are separated. That's not so. The New Book is the spirit of prophecy, in other words it is the word of prophecy. Let's go to Matthew the 26th chapter and watch how both the Old and the New work together.

Matthew 26:17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover?

Notice what's being said, they called the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the Passover. The Passover takes place the day before the Feast of Unleavened Bread it is outlined in Leviticus 23 and Exodus the 12th chapter. When Moses and the children of Israel came out of Egypt they left in haste. The bread did not have a chance to rise. That is why they called the Passover the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Matthew 26:18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples.

Did the verse say I will eat the last supper at your house? No! It states, "I will keep the Passover at your house.

Matthew 26:19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover.

The disciples made ready the Passover not the last supper. As I mentioned earlier, Jesus ate several times after this. Let's move on.

Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

Jesus did not change the Passover, He changed the ordinance. Remember in Exodus the 12th chapter they took a Lamb every year, killed, and ate it. Being that Jesus represents the lamb, He wasn't going to die every Passover. He was sent to die one time for all that bring themselves under His blood. So, He used the bread and wine to replace the lamb. Notice what he says "Take, eat; this is my body." He gave us the bread and the wine to replace His body just as He replaced the lamb.

So Jesus says in Matthew 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Notice what the Lord says, “This is the blood of the New Testament or New covenant.” But notice something very important. He says shed for many, not for all. Why did He say many? Because, you must do the same thing they did in Egypt. If you fail to put the blood over your door post, the death angel will get you. You simply must be under the Lord's protection or under His blood. How do you get that protection? You must confess that Jesus is Lord, "repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38). You must walk in the new covenant, which are the same old Ten Commandments the Lord gave the people Himself on Mount Sinai. The Lord says, "If you love Him keep His commandments. So, if you love Him so much, you should have no problem walking in His Laws. Which includes the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week.

After the death of Jesus let’s take a look what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11: 23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

Notice that ye do this until the Lord come, which is the second coming of Jesus, brothers and Sisters. Also this passover is done once a year, according to the scriptures.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

Now let's see who Jesus is to us. I Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

Paul says, "Purge out therefore the old leaven". In other words purge yourself of sin, and become a new lump, being unleaven. Meaning one that is not sinful, why? Christ is our Passover and he was sacrificed for us. Just like the lamb in Exodus was their sacrifice Christ is ours. Remember, it was the blood of the lamb that protected the children of Israel in Egypt, and for us it is the blood of Christ that will protect us. If you don't bring yourself under the blood, when death comes about, you will die for yourself even the second death, which is the LAKE OF FIRE.

The Passover represents the passing over of your sins, and the only way your sins will be passed over is if you bring yourself under the blood of the Lamb.

Next High and Holy Day is the FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD.

Let's return to Leviticus 23. Leviticus 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

On the fifteenth day of the same month is the FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD unto the LORD, seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

Leviticus 23:7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. On the first day of this feast, you must have a holy gathering, and there is no work to be done.

Leviticus 23:8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

Being that Christ died for us and He is our sacrifice. We are no long under the sacrificial law. Now what we must do is offer ourselves as sacrifices, by offering up righteousness. How do you that? Keep the law! In the last day of this feast you are to have a holy gathering and no servile work is to be done.

Now let's see what this feasts represents.

Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

If you have unleaven bread in your house, you must remove this from your house.

Remember leaven represent sin. The Lord gives you something physical so you will be able to understand the spiritual aspects. Now if you have leaven in your house you will be cut off from among the people. Let's see why we observe this day.

Exodus 12:17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

This is the reason why we must observe this day. On the 15th day of the month the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt. The Feast of Unleavened Bread represents Israel's first deliverance. This day shall be observed forever.

Let's see......Christmas (December 25th) is taught to be the day that Jesus the Christ was born. The fact is Jesus was not even born in the winter season. When Jesus was born, "there were shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night." (Luke 2:8). This could never have occurred in Judea in the month of December. The shepherds always brought their flocks from the mountainsides and fields and corralled them no later than October, to protect them from the cold, rainy season that followed. Notice in Songs of Solomon 2:11 and Ezra 10:9, 13, that winter was a rainy season and typically the herds would most likely not be out in the rainy winter season. "It was an ancient custom among Jews of those days to send out their sheep to the fields and deserts about the Passover (early spring), and bring them home at commencement of the first rain," says the Adam Clarke Commentary (Vol. 5, page 370, New York ed.) Continuing, "During the time they were out, the shepherds watched them night and day. As..the first rain began early in the month of Marchesvan, which answers to part of our October and November (begins sometime in October), we find that the sheep were kept out in the open country during the whole summer. And, as these shepherds had not yet brought home their flocks, it is a presumptive argument that October had not yet commenced, and that, consequently, Jesus was not born on December 25th, when no flocks were out in the fields; nor could He have been born later than September, as the flocks were in the fields by night.

No one teaches December 25 is the birthdate of Christ.
Therefore, to celebrate Jesus' birth date on December 25th is not scripturally sound. Any encyclopedia will tell you that Christ was not born on December 25th. The exact date of Jesus' birth is entirely unknown, as all authorities acknowledge - though by reading the scriptures, it strongly indicates His birth was in the early fall, probably September, approximately six months after Passover. This can also be found in the Catholic Encyclopedia 1967.

December 25th was picked for Christmas due to it being the shortest day of the year, the darkest day.
Some may say, "It does not matter when He was born. I am just celebrating His birth."; whereas others may say "Jesus is the reason for the season." Is that really the case? If Jesus is the reason for the season, then why didn't He let us know when to celebrate his birth? We claim we love Jesus so much but why don't we observe his death as he commanded us. Luke 22:19, "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and break it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me."

His exact date of birth isn't important.
He commanded you to observe the Passover, not Easter, which is also a pagan holiday associated with wild sexual orgies.

Easter was never related to anything pagan or sexuality. In many languages it is Passover.

It has been taught that Jesus died on Good Friday and rose early Sunday morning. As a result of this teaching, man instituted the holiday called Easter.

So now it is Christian? Easter is the word used in the English language. So, it was not called Easter until Christianity arrived in England.
On Easter Sunday you have Christians, world wide paying tribute to a day, in which they believe Jesus, was resurrected. In researching the scriptures one will find that the whole concept of Jesus dying on a Friday and being resurrected on Sunday is contrary to the bible itself. In other words, this tradition directly contradicts the word of God. What does rabbits and eggs have to do with the birth of Jesus?

It is right there in scripture
Furthermore, when did rabbits start laying eggs?

Rabbits and eggs have nothing to do with Easter. It is a peculiar practice among Anglo-Saxons. If people in Peru celebrated Easter with pizza, it does not mean Easter and pizza are related.

Easter was named after Eostre (sometimes spelled Eastre), the great Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, fertility, and new life. Similar Teutonic dawn goddesses of fertility were known variously as Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos. Her name was derived from the ancient word for spring: "eastre." Thus it is easy to see how "Eastre time" became "Easter time".

The name of the holiday is not Easter. That is what the English call it.
Easter Sunday falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after March 20th, the nominal date of the Vernal (sometimes referred to as spring) Equinox. This is the day (or period of days) in spring when the days and nights are of approximately equal length. This is a time of celebrating new life, the resurrection of nature from the dead, and it has typically featured fertility rites, merrymaking, and usually centers on orgiastic sexual activities. In ancient times there were the sacrificing of virgins, the worship of fertility gods and goddesses.

It was picked to coincide with the Jewish passover. There was no pagan holiday of that date.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

It is a good thing you were absolutely wrong.

Well, the shortest day in the UK is 21st December, but it depends where in the world you are. In Australia, the shortest day is in June.

I agree with the rest of your post, though.

I was hoping someone would point that out so I could sound like a smarty pants :)
I bring it up because people think it is some obscure date.
December 25th was the solstice for the northern hemisphere. Due to the Julian calendar the solstice slowly moved until the Gregorian addressed the issue, locking it in place for many thousands of years.

Sorry, I really wasn't trying to be a smarty-pants. (Whoops! I have misread what you wrote - you wanted to call yourself a smart-pants.) I suppose the change of the calendar could explain the discrepancy.

I do bring it up because people can get tricked into all kinds of weird stuff. They have no idea bunnies have nothing to do with Easter as celebrated in other cultures.

Beware indeed. I often wonder if this site even has moderators. But then again, if all the stuff passed off around here as "rightly dividing the scriptures" or "sound doctrine" were removed, their wouldn't be much left to incessantly argue about.

We live in a time now where you can Google Christmas and Easter being a pagan holiday or ChatGPT this information, is open an online now. You choose not to believe it this information then that's on you, but let's take a look at what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 2: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Yeah most people sit back and do no real research, just to choose to enjoy folly and point the finger at the person that's really trying to help them see the truth.

Now let’s return to Leviticus 23 and pick up the next High and Holy Day, this is Pentecost.

Leviticus 23:9 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

When you come into the land and reap the harvest you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits to the priest and he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted. Before anyone could partake of it the Lord had to accept it first.

Leviticus 23:12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.

This should sound familiar. Notice what was to be offered? A he lamb without blemish or a perfect lamb and it also had to be the first born.

Leviticus 23:14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

You are not to partake of anything until the Lord accepts the offering. This shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

Leviticus 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: 16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

After the priest waves the sheaf, which will fall on the weekly Sabbath (Saturday), you must count 7 Sabbaths, this equals 49 days. Once you arrive at the 7th Sabbath add the next day after and you will have the day of Pentecost, which always falls on Sunday. Pentecost simply means fifty.

Leviticus 23:17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the first fruits unto the LORD.

Notice what the verse states, "two wave loaves they shall be baken with leaven". Seven weeks later we must have leaven? Remember the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we are not allowed to have leaven. This represents the first fruit from among men, or in other words the first resurrection. The reason leaven is evolve, there is no man born of women that has no sin. If we haven't committed a physical sin, we have committed some type of sin in our minds. No one is clean except Jesus that is why He is called the Holy One of Israel.

How long should we observe this day?

Leviticus 23:21 “And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.”

It shall be observed forever, no servile work shall be done on this day and you must have a holy gathering. These High and Holy Days are not a request, they are commandments.

Let's go into Acts chapter 2 and see what day all of Israel was keeping when the spirit of God fell on the brethren and they were speaking their own language, but the other brothers from all over the known world understood them. Remember what you are about to read is after the death of Jesus. This will let you know we are still to observe these days. Pay close attention and see what Pentecost is about.

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

These Israelites weren't tarrying for the Holy Ghost. They were there observing the day of Pentecost. They were simply keeping the Law the Lord gave our forefathers in the wilderness. Thousands of years, later Peter and all the other Israelites that were present were simply keeping the Day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

This rushing mighty wind John chapter 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. (born of the spirit). Cloven tongues like as fire Psalms 104:4 “Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire

Let's continue.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Notice what it says Jews out of every nation. Why were they in Jerusalem? Because it was the Law. This Law is for everyone not only Israel, but for all the sons of Adam. One God One Law for all.

Acts 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Notice what's being said. The multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. They were all amazed and marveled. Why were they amazed? Because Peter and the Apostles were Galileans, and the entire multitude understood them when they spoke in their own language.

Nowhere within these verses does it say, "Peter and the Apostles began to babble or run across the back of chairs. Where does it state, "they began to gyrate fall down on the floor and scream GLORAAAAY! The book doesn't state this anywhere. The verses state understanding not confusion.

The word Pentecost simply means fifty that's all. But we have people who have built entire doctrines around this word. All the yelling, screaming, and babbling are done in vain. In other words it's all for nothing.

It was the angels who did the interpreting. The "rushing mighty wind and the cloven tongues of fire" were simply angels. Peter was doing the talking and the angles interpreted. An example of this is the United Nation. Let's say the Russian ambassador stood up to speak. He would speak in his native tongue but each dignitary would understand him. How? They would have an interpreter speaking to them through a ear piece. But in Peter's and the apostle’s case, the angels did the interpreting

Let's continue.

Acts 2:11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

Notice it states, "We do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God." No confusion, simply understanding.

Acts 2:12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, “What meaneth this?” 13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: 15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

If you have ever seen someone drunk the person can barely speak their own language.

Now pay close attention to the next set of verses. Let's find out what the 50th day (Pentecost) is about.

Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Peter said this is what the Prophet Joel spoke about. This Prophecy will take place in the last days. We are in the last day’s sisters and brothers and this will take place not to far down in the future. Take a look at the 20th verse; it gives us a sign of the day of the Lord. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come. This Prophecy was called thousands of years before Jesus came in the flesh. Let us take a look at the Prophet Joel.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. 30 And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Joel and Peter were aware of this day. Now let's see what time this will take place. Let's go to Revelation the 6th chapter.

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

What time will this take place? Peter said the Prophet Joel talked about this and they also said this is the day of the Lord. The day of Pentecost is more than just a regular day, it is the Day of the Lord's return.

Let's finish this chapter in Revelation.

Revelation 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

This is when Jesus will return and take the earth down by force. This will all take place in the year of Pentecost. Pentecost will be the year the Lord will return.

We will take a closer look at this when we get to the Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles.

Right now let us take a look at the Memorial of the Blowing of Trumpets. Let's go back to Leviticus the 23rd chapter and pick this up. Leviticus 23:23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

This day is a High and Holy Sabbath, no servile work is to be done, and you must have a Holy gathering. We are no longer under the sacrificial law so, we don't have to do the sacrifices. We will go into Revelations the 8th chapter to see what the trumpets represent.

Revelation 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. There will be seven angels blowing trumpets and each time a trumpet is blown a vial of wrath will be poured out.

Revelation 8:6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

Each time an angel blows a trumpet a catastrophic event will take place on the earth. Let us take a look at some of the things that will happen when a trumpet is blown. We will go to Matthew the 24th chapter. Most people within the so-called Christian community claim the Lord will return and it will be a secret. They also state the Lord will sneak them off the earth and take them into the third heaven. The Bible doesn't support this false hood. When the Lord returns everyone will see Him. Jesus, in Matthew 24 also says that a time will come on the earth that He calls the great tribulation. Many people have some pre-conceived notions what the Lord will do when he returns. All you have to do is read the book it will tell you exactly what's on the Lord's mind. There are no mysteries in the Bible, you are just uninformed. The Lord said He revealed everything unto His Prophets.

Now let's take a look at what is going to happen when the Lord returns. Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

The book states immediately after the tribulation the sun will be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. Does that sound like a secret? Notice something? It is the same time that Peter and Joel spoke about, they called it the Day of the Lord. Take a look at His coming and notice who will see Him.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Notice what the book says? After the sun goes out, the moon turns to blood, and the stars fall, then you shall see the sign of the Son of Man in heaven coming with power and great glory. And who will see Him, and why are they mourning? The book states ALL the tribes of the earth will mourn. All means all! Does that sound like a secret? No! They will be mourning because in the prophet Habakkuk it states the Lord will invade the earth with His troops. In Revelation, the book states the blood will be up to the horses bridle. Isaiah says the mountains are going to be melting like blood. Jeremiah says the slain of the Lord will be from one end of the earth until the other. It is time to mourn don't you think? Jesus isn't coming to speak softly unto you this time, He is coming as a warring God in His full strength.

Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Notice what's being said. At the sound of the trump then He will gather his elect, from one end of the earth to the other. The earth is also called heaven. This is the last trump. The Lord will have many many things going on at the same time. Let's see some of the other things that will take place on this Last Trump. Let go to I Corinthians the 15th chapter.

I Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, We shall not all die, but we shall be changed. This is the resurrection of the just. The second resurrection will take place a thousand years later. But, for those in the first resurrection when will this change take place?

I Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The first resurrection will take place at the last trump and also the deliverance of Israel will take place.

I Corinthians 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, and then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. Why is death swallowed up in victory? When you become an immortal you can not die any more. It also states in the Book of Revelation, death and hell will be thrown into the lake of fire, which simply mean, after judgment, no one will die any more. The ones that are cast into the lake of fire will also be alive. They will also be immortals, burning for eternity.

This is why we observe The Memorial of the Blowing of Trumpets. It is to remind us what will take place prior to the Lord's return, and also what he will do when He arrives. If you are on the wrong side of the fence the trumpets will be to your hurt. If you are on the right side of the fence, you will become a member of the God family. I suggest sisters and brothers that you continue to read your Bibles and keep up with current events and you will see the Word of God unfold right before your very eyes.

Now, let us move to the next High and Holy Day, which is the Day of Atonement. Let's go back to Leviticus the 23rd chapter.

Leviticus 23:27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

This is the Day of Atonement. It must be observed on the 10th day of the seventh month, you must have a holy gathering and also you must afflict your souls, which means you must fast on this day (sundown to sundown). This day represents the atonement that Jesus made for us. In Moses' day the Priest would take 2 goats. One would be killed and the other would be let go. The Goat that was let go was called the scapegoat. On the scapegoat, all the sins of the people were place. It was then taken into the wilderness and released. This represents Jesus dying for us and taking all our sins upon Him self. This is for the ones that put themselves under the blood of Jesus. Also for the people in time pass who was walking in righteousness. He suffered for us, so we should suffer a little showing our appreciation for what He did for us.

Let's take a look at the 2 goats.

Leviticus 16: 5 And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. 6 And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house. 7 And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. 9 And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering. 10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

Both of these goats represent Jesus. The Goat was offered for a sin offering. What was Jesus? He was our sin offering to the Father. The scapegoat presented alive, represented the Lord when He came out of the grave and was presented alive to the Father. Let us continue in the 23rd chapter of Leviticus.

Leviticus 23:28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. On this day, there is absolutely no work to be done. This day the Lord made atonement for us. Let us now go into Romans the 5th chapter and see what the Lord's death and resurrection did for us.

Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Christ died for the ungodly. If everyone was without sin or perfect, the Lord would not have had to die for us.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Notice what is being said. We were reconciled or recovered by His death, and we shall be saved by His life. Remember the scapegoat? Jesus had to take our sins away. Just like the scapegoat released in the wilderness. If Jesus did not resurrect we would still be in our sins.

Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

If you put yourself under the Lord's blood, He has made an atonement for your sins that have passed. You have been reconciled. It is up to you to continue in this reconciliation unto eternal life. (MEANING KEEPING HIS LAWS AND STATUES). This day represents the Lord making atonement for our sins.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.
and what do ye suppose will come upon those who TROD HIS lovely sacrfice under foot
for to return to a sacrficial system that has long been done away with . NOT to be established again .
Many look to the earthern my friend , WHEN they ought to seek the heavenly .

Beware indeed. I often wonder if this site even has moderators. But then again, if all the stuff passed off around here as "rightly dividing the scriptures" or "sound doctrine" were removed, their wouldn't be much left to incessantly argue about.
sadly this is true . IF ONLY , oh i say IF ONLY the peoples had simply started over in just the scriptures .
MY oh my how things could easily have been cleared up .
