No - if you looked at John 13:36 you will see the language is similar.

John 13:36 “Simon Peter said to him, ‘Lord, where are you going?’ Jesus answered, ‘Where I am going you cannot follow me now, but you will follow afterward.’”

After the Lord has ascended Peter will walk in Christ ministry and experience a similar death.

When Christ returns for the second time, He will grant immortality to His saints, and they will reign from Jerusalem.

You cannot run from the OT Prophecies!
Do you realize that after Calvary, after the resurrection, there was the ascension?

Yes, every man must bear their own cross and the cross of Christ Jesus, and go to their 'calvary' (place of the skull), and be crucified "with" Christ. as Paul states. They must also go through a death and resurrection (some physically, but all spiritually). This then includes their later ascension into heaven, as Jesus said, not merely to Calvary on earth. The issue is, some do not believe that last part. Why stop at 'death', in saying "a similar death"? Peter is also to be resurrected as Jesus, and go to Heaven as Jesus. Why stop short of it? Peter is to "follow" all the way, not part of the way. likewise, every disciple of Jesus is to "follow" Him "whithersoever He [the Lamb / Chief Shepherd] goeth" (Rev. 14:4), and as I have shared previously the 144,000 is simply a symbolic group represented by specific numeration with meaning, as their names spell out the gospel altogether.

Christ Jesus returns the second time, grants immortality of "flesh and bones" as He has, and they go "up" to meet the LORD [JEHOVAH 'Jr', Jesus] "in the air", and God the Father "brings" them back to His house, as He had done for Jesus before. They stay awhile until the marriage is done, and then afterwards come back to witness the feast of the birds upon the destruction of the lost at the end of the 1000 years.

Who is running? Not I.

That is because Jesus did not have a second nature ...
If you truly believe this (statement above) no amount of scripture will convince you, I am already told so:

The Great Controversy (1911 ed.; 524.2) - "... “If men reject the testimony of the inspired Scriptures concerning the deity of Christ, it is in vain to argue the point with them; for no argument, however conclusive, could convince them. “The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14. None who hold this error can have a true conception of the character or the mission of Christ, or of the great plan of God for man’s redemption” ..."

You’re sprinting on that SDA treadmill and I’m worried you might do yourself an injury!

Your “up in the air” is not a literal ascent into Heaven itself!. Rather, it is a gathering of His Saints in preparation to introduce the Kingdom of God on Earth and to begin the establishment of New Jerusalem.

You will get there eventually - I have confidence the Word will open to you.

You are unable to face the mountain of evidence already presented. I know that, in good conscience, you cannot wrest so many Scriptures. To argue against Jesus receiving life is to do yourself a grave injustice.

@Adventageous, once you admitted to believing in Hypostasis, I understood just how far your bias will carry you on this subject. Not a single person in the entire history of this doctrine has ever proven a duality of natures. Even honest Trinitarians admit it cannot be proven from Scripture, and that it was introduced as a “theory” to support the complex formula of the Trinity. If man-made dogma is your food then I could never sat at table with you I'm afraid as like Paul said

I am amazed that you are turning away so quickly from the one who called you by the grace of Christ, to follow a different gospel which really isn’t another gospel at all. Some people are confusing you and trying to distort the message of Christ. Gal 1:6-7

All I can do is encourage you in your sincerity to go back to the original Gospel and find its power in truth.

or instance, provide evidence that "in the air" means 1st Heaven? You are just making stuff up to suite your own confirmation bias.

The Greek preposition “eis” indicates into the air, not Heaven (ouranos). The air (aer) extends only a few miles above Earth. “Then we… shall be caught away into the air in clouds, in order to meet the Lord.” There is no indication that the saints remain in the air for any length of time; rather, they are transported instantaneously from one earthly location to another, gathered from all corners of the Earth (Mark 13:27). The saints will reign with Christ on Earth (Genesis 13:15; Numbers 14:21; Psalm 37:29,34; Proverbs 10:30; 11:31; Isaiah 11:9; Daniel 2:44; Zechariah 14:16; Matthew 5:5; Luke 13:28; Revelation 2:26; 5:10) and exercise dominion under the whole heaven (Daniel 7:27).

I am moving back to Rev. 20:1 and the final words, "in his hand".
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

Rev. 20:1 "in his hand" refers to the authority and actions (in judgment or blessing being carried out) of Jesus, the very "angel" (messenger) of the Father's will / decree. This "hand" is used for many things, such as salvation; Mat. 14:31; healing; Act. 4:30; swearing an oath / making covenant / promise, Psa. 106:26; Eze. 20:15,23; Jhn. 20:25; Rev. 10:5; or for carrying out an action; Rev. 14:14, &c., such as 'blessing'; Mat. 26:26; or in terrible wrath / judgment; Isa. 30:30; Jhn. 2:15 KJB.

In the hand of Jesus is all authority in Heaven and Earth; Jhn. 5:22, 17:2; Mat. 28:18. Thus when he comes with the "key", and closes the "bottomless pit", none beneath that authority may open (Job 11:10; Isa. 22:22; Rev. 3:7), and when he comes with "great chain", none shall escape capture for whom it is to bind (Lam. 3:7; Mat. 16:19, 18:18 KJB).

Authority:

Exo_7:5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
Exo_9:3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
Job_1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
Ecc 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Jer_51:25 Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.
Lam_1:14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the Lord hath delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.
Eze_6:14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Joh_17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
Mat_28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Act_13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

Yep, after the 3rd advent, after the 1000 years (Rev. 20; Isa. 24, &c.).

Yep, after the 3rd advent.
No, it is at the Second Advent that Christ will establish the throne of David and sit in judgment over the nations with the saints. You are confusing the end-time rebellion with the events that mark the beginning of the subjugation of the kingdoms of men.

@Adventageous

I hope you have a very detailed set of notes on Revelation 20:2, because if you identify verse 2 as a “fallen angel”, you will run into an exegesis brick wall if you insist that verse 2 refers to a rebellious angel.

Only flesh nature can sin! Impossible for Divine Nature to sin.

"But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage,
for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection." Luke 20:35–36

I'm giving you this in advance so when you begin to force your dogma on verse 2 you will know it will be meet with an avalanche of corrections.

If you think Gods Divine Nature can sin you have absolutely no understanding of His Holiness or the Presence of His Life.

Let me add as well

2 Peter 1:4 "By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire."

It would be wise for you to pause your study and carefully reconsider the distinction between a human messenger and a divine messenger.

They do not share the same nature and only one has the potential to sin!

You of course do not have to read the materials if that is your decision.

Please consider the following in relation to God, and Godhead:

"Notice “His person” (Job 13:8; Heb. 1:3 KJB), “form of God” (Php. 2:6 KJB), “shape” (Jhn. 5:37 KJB), “image” (Gen. 1:26,27; Heb. 1:3 KJB), “likeness” (Gen. 1:26,27 KJB), “being” (Act. 17:28 KJB), having “parts” (Exo. 33:23 KJB), has a very real movable “Throne” on which He sits (Dan. 7:9-10; Rev. 4-5 KJB, &c.), has “the hair of his head like the pure wool” (Dan. 7:9 KJB), has a “face” (Gen. 32:30; Exo. 33:11,20; Deu. 5:4, 34:10; Mat. 18:10; Rev. 20:11 KJB), with “eyes” (2 Chr. 16:9; Pro. 22:12; Rev. 1:14, 2:18, 19:12 KJB), with “nostrils” (2 Sam. 22:9,16; Psa. 18:15 KJB), able to hear and has “ears” (Num. 11:18, 14:28; 1 Sam. 8:21; 2 Sam. 22:7; 2 Kin. 19:28; 2 Chr. 7:15; Psa. 18:6, 34:15, 130:2; Isa. 5:9, 37:29; Jam. 5:4; 1 Pet. 3:12 KJB).

God is a Soul (Living Being with form; Jer. 5:9 KJB), and is a Spirit (thus having a mind (Intelligence), Mat. 12:28 KJB), has a “mouth” (Num. 12:8; Deu. 8:3; Jos. 9:4; 1 Kin. 13:21; Psa. 33:6; Pro. 2:6; Isa. 1:20, 40:5, 58:14, 62:2; Jer. 9:12,20, 23:16; Mic. 4:4; Rev. 1:16 KJB), has a “tongue” (Psa. 35:28, 66:17, 71:24, 119:172 KJB; the Son praises the Father; Isa. 30:27 KJB), has “lips” (Job 11:5, 23:12; Psa. 89:34; Isa. 30:27 KJB), has “teeth” (Gen. 49:12 KJB) and expresses emotions (Grieved; Gen. 6:6; Jdg. 10:16; Psa. 78:40, 95:10; Eze. 16:43; Heb. 3:10 KJB; Jealous / love; Exo. 34:14; Deu. 4:24, 32:21; Psa. 78:58, 79:5; Isa. 42:13; Eze. 38:19; Zep. 3:8; Zec. 8:2; 1 Cor. 10:22 KJB; Anger; Num. 12:9; Deu. 32:22; Jdg. 10:7; 2 Sam. 22:8; Job 19:11; Psa. 2:5, 7:11, 21:9, 90:11; Isa. 28:21, 30:30, 66:15; Jer. 30:24; Lam. 2:3, 3:43; Eze. 5:13, 38:18; Hos. 12:14; Nah. 1:6 KJB; Hates evil; Psa. 5:5-6, 11:5; Jer. 44:4; Rev. 2:6,15 KJB; takes vengeance / justice; Deu. 32:34-35,41-43; Psa. 94:1; Isa. 1:24, 34:8, 66:6; Jer. 46:10; Amo. 2:13; Nah. 1:2; Heb. 10:30 KJB), with organs of speech and breath (Num. 12:8; Psa. 18:8; Isa. 30:27-28; Rev. 1:15 KJB), speaks with a language that is understood (Exo. 3:4, 19:19, 20:19,22; Lev. 1:1; Num. 7:89, 12:4, 22:9; Deu. 4:12,33,36, 5:24-26; 1 Kin. 19:12-13; Psa. 68:33; Jer. 25:30; Eze. 43:6; Joe. 2:11, 3:16; Amo. 1:2; Act. 7:31; Heb. 12:19,26 KJB), laughs and ‘sleeps’ (Psa. 2:4, 59:8, 78:65 KJB), sings (Zep. 3:17 KJB), and rejoices (Deu. 28:63, 30:9 KJB).

God has “shoulders” (Deu. 33:12 KJB), wears garments (Job 29:14 KJB), “whose garment was white as snow” (Dan. 7:9 KJB), wears a crown/s (Isa. 62:3; Rev. 19:12 KJB), and sometimes the Son dresses as priest (Dan. 10:5-9; Rev. 1:13-16 KJB), and sometimes the Son dresses as King (Rev. 17:14, 19:16 KJB), and sometimes the Son dresses as Warrior (Exo. 15:3, 17:16; Jos. 5:13-15; Isa. 66:16; Jer. 14:9, 21:5; Zec. 14:3 KJB).

God has “arms” (Isa. 51:9, 53:1; Jhn. 12:38 KJB), has a “right hand” (Rev. 5:1; Act. 7:55-56 KJB), so has “hands” (Gen. 49:24; Exo. 33:22; Deu. 33:27; Psa. 21:8, 74:11, 89:13, 118:16; Isa. 52:10; Hab. 3:4 KJB), having “fingers” (Exo. 8:19, 31:18; Deu. 9:10; Psa. 8:3; Luk. 11:20 KJB), utilizes weapons (Deu. 32:23; Job 19:12; Psa. 7:12-13, 21:12, 64:7; Isa. 34:5; Jer. 50:25; Lam. 2:4, 3:12-13; Hab. 3:9 KJB).

He is able to be looked upon, “to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone” (Rev. 4:2 KJB), having His own “nature” (Gal. 4:8 KJB), having also “back parts” (Exo. 33:21-23 KJB, speaking of the Son, but remember the Son is in the “express image” of the Father; Jer. 18:17 KJB), has a “heart” (Gen. 6:6 KJB), and “loins” ([H4975]; waist to upper thighs, see 1 Kin. 18:46 KJB), Eze. 1:27 KJB), able to sit on posterior (Dan. 7:9; Col. 3:1; Heb. 1:3, 10:12; Rev. 4:2 KJB) and even a “divine nature” (2 Pet. 1:4 KJB), having “feet” (Rev. 1:15 KJB); see also “under his feet” (Exo. 24:10 KJB, speaking of the Son, as the Son is in the “express image” of the Father; Psa. 18:9 KJB), and so walks (Gen. 3:8; Psa. 104:3 KJB).

Some, after reading the many texts just presented, will come to the erroneous man-made conclusion, that those texts are simply anthropomorphisms (that which seeks to describe God in merely human terms / thinking), but that reverses the texts themselves! Instead of the texts of Genesis, which clearly state that mankind was made in the “image” and “likeness” of God (Gen. 1:26-27 KJB), these other persons turn the texts around on their head (upside down) and say God is merely pictured as like having mankind’s image and likeness, though has no actual “form”, “shape”, “body” or “parts” at all! What a vaporization of the eternal Living God and Father! What utter abominable and perverse erasure through fallible words of mankind! God’s perfectly inspired and preserved word (Psa. 12:6-7 KJB) says one thing, and lo, in contrast, ‘scholarly’ ‘good’, ‘godly’ ‘pastoral’ mankind says another. Whom is the Christian to believe?" [pages 60-61]

Thus, instead of the creature (Adam) being made in God's image & likeness, those that anthropomorphize those texts, are the ones who actually make God into mankind's image and likeness. It is they who have (as you have said) "conflated the creature with the Creator." In so doing, they also vaporize the eternal throne of Deity, and the physical nature of Heaven (3rd) itself into 'airy' non-things, and so vaporizing the 'devil' himself into merely an idea.

It is indeed shocking and awful how many scriptures you have corrupted (as you have done once again above) in order to make them comply with your own fallen human religious ideas - ideas that are false and non-biblical - as you continue in your determination to conflate the Creator with the creature.

Your conflation is false and blasphemous.

Your natural human mind derived from your fallen human nature is the only thing that produces your above statements expressing your own man-made religious ideas - statements which are totally devoid of Divine inspiration regarding the words and doctrines of God.

Throughout the Bible God inspired His prophets and Psalmists, and Solomon and others to use metaphor - very frequently - to describe spiritual realities (for example the word "mouth" in Psalm 33:6). Jesus Himself does this in parables such as the parable about the seed in Mark 4:3-20.

It's astonishing that you really do expect me and others to read and reply to such a long list of scriptures exposing how you have corrupted each one of them, changing - as you have repeatedly now shown you do - the meaning of what is written in order to make scripture comply with your man-made false religious ideas and doctrines.

There are so many of your assertions expressing your own man-made religious ideas, that it's a rabbit-hole and a complete and utter waste of time trying to correct you on each verse you have corrupted when you have already stated what the false doctrine is that you have used in order to attempt to force such long lists of verses taken out of biblical scripture and out of context to comply with your false doctrines - by corrupting the meaning of all or almost all of the verses you quote.

I salute @Hiddenthings and @ewq1938 for taking the amount of time needed to read your long posts of drivel and respond to at least the worst of all your corruptions of scripture.

Personally, I used to view the SDA's as a sect only slightly off of biblical truth (how wrong I was). At least I can thank you for starting this thread and appearing at first - due to the tables you drew up of common themes and statements in different parts of the Revelation - to have an honest approach to scripture,

but then you continued by exposing your own man-made religious ideas and SDA man-made religious ideas and false doctrines for what they are (and the extent of the corruption it is)

- both to myself and no doubt to many others who might have read or might still read the things that you posted.

The teaching of scripture regarding our Creator can be read here:

"And", "και", "kai" (also, moreover, in addition to) is a connection word, and it connects the previous verse timing and events thereof, to this event. In other words, because the "angel" (messenger of the Father; Jesus) has the "key" and the "great chain" "in his hand", having all authority in heaven and earth to "bind", and "seal" and "close",

"he" (the "angel" (messenger) of the Father's will; Jesus), has the right (Eph. 1:21-22; Php. 2:6-11; by His perfect life, the cross and sacrifice and shed blood at Calvary; Rev. 5:6a) and authority (Rev. 5:6b,9,13-14) to accomplish this task (Mat. 28:18 KJB) given Him by His father.

Psa_149:8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
Mat_12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Mat_13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Mar_3:27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Luk 11:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

"laid hold on", G2902, "ἐκράτησεν", "ekratesen" (V-AAI-3S), to "sieze by force of might", "using one's strength", "retain", "to hold in place", "lay hands on", &c.

As the devil, through various humans, had previously "laid hold on" Jesus, arresting Him in miraculous ministry (Mat. 26:57; Jhn. 9:4; Act. 2:22-23 KJB) and even those who followed Him (Mat. 14:3; Mar. 14:15; Act. 4:3, 6:8-12 KJB), so too now at the timing of this verse the judgment is reversed / overturned of God in righteousness, and the devil (and his followers) is to be "laid hold on", and his work of sin arrested, and taken to true judgment. The night is come upon the devil (Isa. 21:11-12 KJB) and his work (2 Thes. 2:9; Rev. 13:14, 16:14, 19:20) must come to its end. For as he / they did unto others, is now done unto him / them, and in what he / they have sown, he / they will begin to reap, some 30, some 60, some 100fold.

"the dragon", G3588, G1404, "τον δρακοντα", "ton drakonta" (T-ASM, N-ASM), a symbolic description / name given to the fallen angel, Lucifer / Heylel (Isa. 14:12-15), the devil (Rev. 12:7,9, 20:2 KJB), as a like a creature of imposing fierceness, and that which dwells in the darkness of ruins (Isa. 34:13, 35:7, 43:20; Jer. 9:11, 10:22, 49:33, 51:37; Mal. 1:3 KJB) and pit, and depths of the abyss (Psa. 74:13, 148:7; Neh. 2:13; Isa. 27:1 KJB) that comes up to swallow whole prey (Jer. 51:34 KJB), having venomous poison (Deu. 32:33 KJB). See also Job 41 and "Leviathan" and its description. This description is used throughout the Bible - Kata Biblon Wiki Lexicon - δράκων - dragon/serpent (n.)

"that old serpent", G3588, G3789, G3588, G744, "τον οφιν τον αρχαιον", "ton ophin ton archaion" (T-ASM, N-ASM, T-ASM, A-ASM), a reference that goes all the way back to Gen. 3:1-14, where that fallen angel, Lucifer / Heylel (Isa. 14:12; Eze. 28:12-19; 2 Pet. 2:4; Jud. 1:6; Rev. 12:9), by the means of the medium of the beautiful winged serpent (Isa. 14:29, 30:6), deceived Eve by poisonous words (Psa. 58:4, 140:3; Pro. 23:32 KJB) of that unclean intelligence / spirit (Mat. 7:10-11; Luk. 11:11,13):

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Act_26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
2Co_11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
2Co_11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Rev_12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

"which is the Devil", G3739, G1510, G1228, "ος εστιν διαβολος", "os estin diabolos" (R-NSM, V-PAI-3S, A-NSM); which word "devil" means "a false accuser", "slanderer", see 1 Tim. 3:11; 2 Tim. 3:3; Tit. 2:3 KJB. Bringing falsehood, deception, even from the beginning (Gen. 3:1-5; Jhn. 8:44; 2 Cor. 11:3; Rev. 12:9 KJB). See also - Kata Biblon Wiki Lexicon - διάβολος - diabolical (adj.)

"and Satan", G2532, G4567, "και σατανας", "kai satanas" (CONJ, N-NSM), and so is also known as "Satan", meaning "adversary, opponent, enemy", being the one whom has withstood the Son even in heaven (Rev. 12:7-13), for a comparison of language see pages 48-53 - Michael The Archangel Who Is Like Unto God The Highest Messenger (BOOK) : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

"and bound him" - by the "key" (that closes up "the bottomless pit") & "great chain" (Rev. 20:1 KJB); see notes therein. The scapegoat is taken (Lev. 16:21 KJB); see - Scapegoat Azazel Satan Leviticus 16 Nutshell Image And Powerpoint Slide : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Rev_13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

As the devil had bound, and would not release from his prison, his captives (for Jesus had to set them free):

Isa_61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Luk_4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Now satan himself (and those who have followed him) are taken captive, even suddenly:

Luk_19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
... to be continued ...
"a thousand years"; aka the "day of the LORD"; Psa. 84:10, 90:4; 2 Pet. 3:8:

Psa 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psa 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
More on 2 Peter 3:10 and the two phases, 1. Heavens (atmosphere at the 2nd advent, beginning the 1000 years), & 2. Earth (land at the 3rd advent, ending the 1000 years), just as Peter said, and Jesus said in the NT, and also given in the OT. - Revelation 20:1-15 & the 1,000 years (aka Millennium) Bible Study

“The Day of the LORD”, the final 1000 years of the 7000, ending the great cosmic "week" with God; the great counterpart to the 7th day the sabbath of the LORD God (Gen. 2:1-3; Exo. 20:8-11; Isa. 58:13; Mar. 2:27-28; Heb. 4:9; Rev. 1:10, 10:6, 14:7, &c.):
Isaiah 2:12, 13:6,9, 34:8 KJB – “the Day of the LORD”, the final eschatological climaxing day (Rev. 16:14 KJB, “great day of God Almighty”):

There is a 2 phase reign, the ascension, and eternal rule:

[A.] The “thousand years” (limited) reign “in Heaven” (Psa. 50:5; Mat. 5:3,8,10,12, 6:20, 13:30, 24:31; Mar. 10:21, 13:27; Luk. 6:23, 18:22, 23:43; Jhn. 14:2-3, 17:24; Col. 1:5; Heb. 10:34; 1 Pet. 1:4; Rev. 7:9, 14:3, 19:1; “Paradise”, Luk. 23:43; 2 Cor. 12:4; Rev. 2:7)] with Christ Jesus (1 Thes. 4:16-17; Rev. 20:6) and ...
[B.] The “reign on earth” (“made new”, not this sin polluted Earth; 2 Pet. 3:13; Isa. 65:17, 66:22; Rev. 21:1) that lasts “forever and ever” (eternal) (Rev. 5:10; “meek inherit earth” (“made new”, not this sin polluted Earth), Psa. 37:9,11,34; Pro. 11:31; Isa. 25:8, 65:21; Dan. 7:27; Mat. 5:5; Rev. 5:10).

The “reign upon the earth” comes after the 1000 years (Rev. 20:1-7), for the “saints” must both be resurrected & glorified and / or translated & brought back to Heaven (3rd; Jhn. 14:1-4; 1 Thes. 4:17; &c.) at the 2nd Advent / Coming of Jesus & First Great Resurrection (Job 14:5-14). There, in the 3rd Heaven, they shall “reign with him (Jesus) a thousand years” (Rev. 20:4,5a,6), and go over the books of record (Psa. 149:1-9; 1 Cor. 6:2-3), and come back to earth with New Jerusalem (Isa. 24; Zec. 14; Rev. 20:9). 1000 years (finite, limited time; Dan. 7:22c,d) is not the “for ever and ever” (Rev. 11:15, 22:5).

Thus satan is "bound" on earth, unable to tempt or deceive the nations (of mankind, because they are all dead for that period of time), and he and his fallen angels, as "dragons" and "owls" (winged night creatures), must wander the desolated earth (broken by curses upon the ground, the flood of Noah, the wars brought about, the 7 last plagues, the greatest earthquake, and the burning up of the atmosphere, and the wicked lying dead upon the ground) in dreariness, and view the results of their own machinations.
