[Acts 2:36 KJV] "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.".........Peter was saying that Jesus was the Christ and the Son of God, but was rejected by Israel.
[Acts 2:37 KJV] "Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?"
[Acts 2:38 KJV] "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.".......Peter was calling Israel to believe that Jesus was Christ, the Son of God and be baptized in his name.
[Acts 2:39 KJV] "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call."
[Acts 2:40 KJV] "And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation."........Peter was exhorting unbelieving Israel to believe that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God and save themselves from being judged along with unbelieving Israel. Peter was not calling out believing Jews to form the body of Christ, but rather he was calling out a remnant of believing Jews to be part of the little flock that would inherit the prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth.
The body of Christ was not formed at Pentecost.
