The statement by "Spiritual Israelite", said, "I have never seen any Seventh-day Adventist claim that there will be 3 advents/comings of Christ (The past one and 2 more in the future)." -
Revelation 20:1-15 & the 1,000 years (aka Millennium) Bible Study
Thus, I provided from the standard, and one of the most commonly sold, printed, handed out materials, the book the Great Controversy, that the ideology is not personal to me (myself), but is on the whole, accepted, and taught by the official Seventh-day Adventist faithful. That was the only reason it was cited in this thread. It was in a defensive demonstration of a point I had made earlier, since the idea was brought into question as being among Seventh-day Adevntists.
I care what she (sister White) taught, since, there is a claim made of being a "messenger of the LORD", and others as a "prophetess", and so, according to scripture I am / was duty bound to test that / those claims, by scripture (KJB) and found them to be genuine, and in full harmony with scripture, and must accept what God hath done in her (as so done for all the others, that have the testimony of Jesus or the spirit of prophecy), and thus as it is written:
Mat_23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
Luk_11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
1Co_12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Eph_4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
1Co 14:31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
1Co 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
1Th 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.
1Th 5:20 Despise not prophesyings.
1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
The Bible teaches that God not merely inspired men to write the texts of the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16-17 KJB), but also inspired men to speak and prophesy (2 Pet. 1:21 KJB). Both are required. The written word (Biblw; KJB) is the final authority, and the spoken word, or other means of communication, must "amen" that final authority (1 Pet. 4:11 KJB).
Therefore, "I" (myself), as a Christian, must believe and listen to both since that is to "go by the Bible". Going by the Bible does not negate God's methods of communication, such as The Father's own voice speaking from heaven, the Son speaking, the Holy Ghost speaking, unfallen angels of heaven being sent with messages, mankind (priests, prophets, kings, apostles, teachers, evangelists, &c.), dreams, visions, animals, creation itself and the elements, divine providences, &c. All of these are in harmony with scripture, and not to be neglected.
Amo_3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
Thus, Seventh-day Adventists "go by the Bible", while others neglect to listen to those whom God hath sent, by various reasonings, methods, &c. Some do not believe in any of the continuing gifts God gave in the Holy Spirit, and are effectively labelled "cessationists" (which is a heresy). Others simply reject all that claim to be messengers of the LORD, and thus are as the Sadducees, stopping their ears from hearing of continuing prophets / messengers, and whom only accepted "Moses" as the written word, and all this irrespective to what scripture states (as briefly noted above, that prophets / messengers have continued in the church, and will do so, until the end). Others make themselves their own prophets, as the woman Jezebel in the Revelation does (Rev. 2:20 KJB), and are as Pro. 25:14 KJB states. Others, are as the Pharisees, which may accept messengers, but refuse the true messenger when sent to them, and in their place, accept persons not sent of God with a counterfeit message. I have met all of these types of persons, in person.
You say, that I am "deluded", and yet, if you want evidence of the claims made by sister White, to test by scripture, then see the following:

When most people I have met say, in response to the subject of sister White, or modern prophets in general, they say, as you did, "We Christians go by the Bible." it really means they reject all claims of prophets / messengers, and yet that statement is not true on its face when one rejects the prophets / messengers God sends, which the Bible said God would do. In other words, instead of dealing with the claims made, they resort to a fall-back position, and simply accuse the believers in the true messengers (as opposed to false ones, raise up by satan to mask / hide/ bury the true) as being "deluded". The real delusion is in rejecting Jesus, by the Holy Ghost, in those whom He hath sent, just as those religionists did in the 1st century, and before, all the way back to Enoch.
