@GRACE ambassador , Doug,

God clearly tells us what His covenant is, in His own words.

Exodus 34:27–28 (ASV)
“And Jehovah said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
And he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Here God does not separate the covenant from the Ten Commandments. He explains them. The covenant words were written on stone tablets, and those words are named plainly: the Ten Commandments.

God repeats this even more clearly later, so no one can change the meaning.

Deuteronomy 4:13 (ASV)
And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.”

God does not say the commandments came from the covenant. He says the covenant is the Ten Commandments.

Moses repeats the same truth again.

Deuteronomy 9:9 (ASV)
When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which Jehovah made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights; I did neither eat bread nor drink water.”

The stone tablets themselves are called the tables of the covenant.

Now Scripture shows where this covenant was placed.

Exodus 25:16 (ASV)
“And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.”

What is this testimony?

Exodus 31:18 (ASV)
“And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.”

The testimony is not a book of laws, traditions, or rituals. It is the stone tablets written by God’s own finger.

When Moses remakes the tablets, God confirms again what they are and where they belong.

Deuteronomy 10:1–5 (ASV)
“At that time Jehovah said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand.
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Jehovah spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and Jehovah gave them unto me.
And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as Jehovah commanded me.”

The Ark of the Covenant contains the Ten Commandments. That is why it is called the Ark of the Covenant. Nothing else is called the covenant itself.

Now we move forward to the future, to heaven.

Revelation 11:19 (ASV)
“And there was opened the temple of God that is in heaven; and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant; and there followed lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.”

John sees the Ark of the Covenant in heaven. The ark still exists. Its meaning has not changed. The covenant God placed inside it still matters.

This agrees perfectly with the words of Jesus.

Matthew 5:17–18 (ASV)
“Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished.”

In Revelation, heaven has not passed away. The ark is still there. The covenant has not vanished.

Finally, Scripture shows who God’s faithful people are at the end.

Revelation 12:17 (ASV)
“And the dragon waxed wroth with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, that keep the commandments of God, and hold the testimony of Jesus.”

Revelation 14:12 (ASV)
“Here is the patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

From Sinai, to the ark, to heaven, to the last days, Scripture says the same thing without changing its words.

God declared His covenant.
That covenant is the Ten Commandments.
They were written by His finger.
They were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant.
That ark is seen again in heaven.
And God’s people at the end are still described as keeping those commandments.

This is not interpretation.
This is what GOD says.
The ten commandments are a synopsis/summary of the moral law. The principles they express are found throughout the Mosaic law.

I took another look at the Revelation 14:5 here is the passage with my comments

[Revelation 14:1 KJV] "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads."..................The 144k are on the mount. Their location is significant. They are on the earth
[Revelation 14:2 KJV] "And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:"...................The voice of harpers could be heard. Their location is significant as well. The harpers are in heaven.
[Revelation 14:3 KJV] "And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.".....................The harpers sang a new song. Only the 144k could learn this song.
[Revelation 14:4 KJV] "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb."..................They which were virgins are THE HARPERS. They are the ones who sang a new song in HEAVEN (not on the earth where the 144k are)
[Revelation 14:5 KJV] "And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God."................The harpers had no guile found in their mouths.

You can make of this what you will. I am not dogmatic about the 144k being resurrected believing Israel which includes the twelve, but I am more inclined to think so. That was a good point it's just that with scripture you have to see things kinda out of the box if you will. I have found that scripture's meaning is not apparent at our initial reading. The 144k may be raised like Lazarus and those that came out of their graves. They may still be resurrected in the first resurrection. Thanks for the topic!

By the way, Peter would not be in the rapture if I am wrong . He isnt in the body of Christ. He is in the little flock, believing remnant of Israel
You are trying to shift the wording to leave out the obvious.
Claiming way too much on the harpers.
Vs 4 and 5 are describing the 144,000, not harpers.

then you Doug are against God's clear words. At least 5 clear verses where God declares the ten commandments the covenant. Did you forget about the ark of the covenant that contains the ten commandments and NOT the rest of the law of Moses, this is another stumbling block for you until You believe God's words you will be stuck with false doctrines.

Jesus did indeed tell those who asked how to have eternal life to keep the ten commandments because they summarized the most pertinent commandments of the moral aspects of the Mosaic law in regard to our relationship with God and others.

Please consider this. Jesus didn't say these ten were the greatest he said this was.................[Mark 12:29 KJV] "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:"
[Mark 12:30 KJV] "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.".............this isnt found in the ten

they are a summary of the ten commandments to demonstrate that the core of the law is love they are not a replacement, the ten commandments ARE the moral law, they are the foundation that we have to keep, dont try to wiggle out of what God clearly said and invent a doctrine around these to diminish the ten commandments ( the covenant)

Mark 12:29-30 arent a summary of the ten commandments or the law it stands alone as being the greatest commandment

In Deuteronomy 5 the ten commandments are repeated. Then Moses spoke to the people and told them to keep the whole law not just the ten..........................[Deuteronomy 5:32 KJV] "Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left."
[Deuteronomy 5:33 KJV] "Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and [that it may be] well with you, and [that] ye may prolong [your] days in the land which ye shall possess."............Moses went on to say this...............................[Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV] "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:"
[Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV] "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."............this says nothing of the ten

[Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV] "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."............this says nothing of the ten
I repeat again and bring proof of what I say.

When Jesus was asked, “Which is the first commandment of all?” (Mark 12:28–30), He didn’t give a new law. He didn’t say the Ten Commandments no longer mattered. Instead, He highlighted the heart and root of the whole law: love for God and love for others. Think of it like this: the Ten Commandments are the tree, and love is the root. Without the root, the tree cannot live.

  • Loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind (Mark 12:30, quoting Deuteronomy 6:5) summarizes the first four commandments, which focus on our relationship with God—no other gods, no idols, not taking God’s name in vain, and keeping the Sabbath holy.
  • Loving your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31, quoting Leviticus 19:18) summarizes the last six commandments, which focus on how we treat others—honoring parents, not murdering, not committing adultery, not stealing, not lying, and not coveting.
So Jesus is not “replacing” the Ten Commandments. He is showing the principle behind them. The law itself (all Ten Commandments) must still be obeyed, as Deuteronomy 5:32–33 says: walk in all the ways God commanded, don’t turn aside. But Jesus helps people see that the motive and guiding principle for keeping the law is love. Without love, the law becomes mechanical or even hypocritical.

In other words, when He said these two commandments are the greatest, He was pointing to the heart of the law, not eliminating the rest. The rest of the law still matters, but these two summarize why we obey it: we obey because we love God and love others.

Paul also confirms the principle that love is the root or heart of the law and then lists the commandments!!!!
“Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” (Romans 13:8-10
).

The Ten Commandments are still the foundation of God’s law, and Jesus’ two greatest commandments explain the reason we keep them: out of love for God and for others. Obedience without love misses the point, and love without obedience is incomplete.

yes Doug, very simply keep it nothing complicated see isaiah 58; and DONT keep like the Jews of today keep it, or the pharisees of old, they follow man made added rules and not God's way. Jesus spoke about them adding to the law and warned them severely that they kept the laws ( commandments) in the wrong way, they had no mercy, no love, no compassion, Jesus showed us the true way. see below Isaiah on the topic, the proper, simple way.

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Isa 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

also another proof the commandments are for all peoples;

Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

( the covenant = the ten commandments)

Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

( the covenant = the ten commandments)
This doesnt tell me how you keep the sabbath
What do you do or dont

What I am getting at is that we arent required to confess him. Jesus was only speaking to Israel here...................
[Matthew 10:32 KJV] "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."
[Matthew 10:33 KJV] "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."..............if you think you need to confess you are being Biblical because confession is in the Bible, but you arent being dispensational because you are saying what was for Israel I will say is for me
In the church age it is for anyone who wishes to be saved! Jew or Gentile. I am very very dispensational

So you are saying Matthew 10:32-33 is for you
Are you saying if you dont confess publicly you wont be saved?
