Me too.
We lived in a small town. Not small enough to be considered clanish. However, small in that traveling overseas could be a wildly exciting idea for pretty girls who are led to believe they could be models, treated like gold,etc...
More fun and excitement than what currently served as dinner at the local pizza shop.
What would be a "clanish" town??

I live in a town of about 5 thousand.
My hometown was about 1,000 but it has dwindled down to about 300, maybe a bit more.
All the young are moving out for work reasons.
The men used to work at the marble quarry,,,the young don't like this.

Clanish towns are those that have a very small population of native citizens, those who are born and raised there. They don't cotton to new arrivals at all.

Clanish implies everyone knows everyone. Like family.

Right.
That would be my hometown.

A person could have married outside the town...
brought the spouse to the town...
raised the family and lived there till death...
but the spouse would never be accepted as part of the town (clan).

It's not really like this anymore.
it got "modern".

Clanish towns here dont modernize.

You could move to one, live there 50 years, and be snubbed for those 5 decades.

These days the guys and gals marry outside of the town.
It's become common practice.

Also, we're losing our dialect...which is a whole different language (not an accent of the Italian language).

100 years ago some townfolk couldn't even speak Italian.

Then they became more literate and everyone spoke Italian...to some degree or other.

Now it's like this: All the young go off to university and speak ONLY Italian...
they all come back home and when they hang out they continue with the Italian.

They marry outside the town and so they MUST speak Italian to the spouse.

And so the dialect is slowly fading away.
Very sad actually.

The POLICE should be handling this!!!
Very upsetting.

Will check out your other posts.

When Danny Tommo found the migrant's phone in France about three months ago, he approached the UK authorities but they weren't interested.

The migrant kept posting photos of himself in Italy, then Paris and finally in Glasgow Scotland. When the Sudanese migrant started posing and hovering over a five year old Scottish girl, Danny drove to Scotland to confront him. Danny had a contact in Glasgow who was monitoring the migrant.

Scottish police finally did make the arrest.

P.S. Danny Tommo heads up Operation Overlord where UK guys went over to France to disable the hidden rubber boats that transport illegal migrants to the UK. France banned him and some of the guys. France arrested some of the guys too.

The UK pays France a lot of money to try to stop the migrants but France just takes the money. So the UK guys took some action.

It is.

It's great to remember how things were when I was a kid. Now,I see how much has changed and miss those better days.

At what point are we?
We: the civilized world.
When the citizenry has to do the work of law enforcement?

And thank God for those that are not only INTERESTED in taking some action...
but actually doing it for the good of all.
