IMO:
"Seven mountains" (Revelation 17:9) = seven kingdoms. These are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, the Beast (a.k.a. Anti-Christ").

The angels and cherubim in heaven were created before us. There was a rebellion in heaven, during which Satan and his angels were thrown to earth. See Ezekiel 28:14-19.

God's angels protect us from Satan's angels (Matthew 18:10).

The 7 heads represent 7 mountains where the woman sits. Rome.

The symbolic woman does not sit on literal things, so it's not referring to literal mountains.

Revelation 17:1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” 3 So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Do you think the many waters she sits on or the beast she sits on are literal? Of course not. This can't be ignored. So, since the many waters and the beast she sits on are not literal, neither are the mountains she sits on. Mountains often symbolically represent kingdoms in scripture. For example, references to God's holy mountain is a symbolic reference to His kingdom. So, the reason it says there are seven kings is because the heads represent seven kingdoms.

You might be thinking: "But it says the seven heads ARE seven mountains, so that means the heads symbolically represent mountains". In Revelation 11:4 it says the two witnesses are two olive trees and two candlesticks. Does that mean the two witnesses represent two literal olive trees or two literal candlesticks? Of course not. So, there's no basis for insisting that since it says the seven heads are seven mountains then it means that the mountains have to be taken literally.

The false prophet is not any sort of king. The false prophet is who will instigate the requirement that everyone take the mark, name, or number of the name of the beast king in order to buy or sell. Revelation 13:16-17.



A mountain does not die and come back to life.

Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Did you miss the following verse about the beast king??

8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

What did Lord Jesus just show you back in the Revelation 12:3-4 verses? He revealed that Lucifer rebelled originally using a kingdom that had seven heads, ten horns, but only seven crowns. That old beast kingdom Lucifer rebelled with, and Lucifer as beast king WAS.

Then what did God do to end Lucifer's original rebellion in the old world? God ended that time and Lucifer fell as lightening to the earth, and his beast king role that WAS, then became IS NOT.

Then what happened next. God setup this present world earth age for His Son to be born in the flesh and die on the cross for the remission of the sins of those who believe, to defeat the devil. And to test those at the END of this world who have believed on Jesus, God is allowing Satan to play beast king once again like he did of old, and then Satan will be YET IS.

So note the phrase above, "... and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition:". That is about Satan when he comes at the end of this world to play the false-Messiah in Jerusalem. He will exalt himself in place of God, performing miracles, etc., in plain sight, upon the earth.

The beast that "was and is not" and is currently in the bottomless pit is the serpent beast used by Satan in Genesis 3 to deceive Adam and Eve to eat from the forbidden tree. Notice in Revelation 12:9. Satan is called that old serpent, showing the connection between the serpent beast and Satan.

The beast that "was, is not, yet is" will be the end times Antichrist person. After being killed and his soul in hell for a short time, his soul will be returned to his body - and possessed by the serpent beast spirit that will emerge from the bottomless pit.
