I read an article about the most vulnerable, the poorest of the poor in Africa. With less availability of oil, they resort to burning dung in their tents, inhaling all that smoke. That is one of the main red flags of pseudo-science. Here are the red flags I see in the climate change narrative that makes it a pseudo-science

1- Claim of infallibility.
"The science is settled"
Saying that is claiming infallibility, it tells everyone that it cannot be opposed. This goes against scientific enquiry and is done to keep people from questioning it.

2- Ostracization of opposing voices.
"Climate denier"
This is also done to prevent having any debate about the matter. Easier to just ostracise them with a personal attack.

3- Conflict of interests.
It comes in several forms

- Politicians and such have shares in the wind and solar industries.

- Once a government spends millions of dollars on wind and solar they become invested. The last thing they want to hear is that man made climate change is not real and that they wasted their money. So they will deny and ignore any evidence that opposes them.

- So called climate scientists keep the lie going to obtain funding. If they said there was no man made climate change then they wouldn't receive any funding from anyone, so they make it look like their making progress to get funding.

Their the main ones but their is also appeal to authority, confirmation bias, assumptions over correlation and causation, ideological support, red herrings, failure to use Occam's razor, rejecting negative findings, cherry picking data.

All these red flags tell me that this is most definitely a pseudo-science.

Actually, more extreme weather is what warming brings. As you saw, insurance companies are leaving the gulf states because increasingly severe storms have made it impossible to underwrite property insurance effectively.
